User manual for Action DVR VW898

VW898 is a full 1080P Action DVR,. It can work as a pocket
camcorder, sports camera, dash cam, driving recorder,still
camera, webcam, and a removable storage device. with it, you
can record your happy life anytime anywhere when riding bike,
riding motor, skateboarding, parachuting, playing R/C any other
sports.

Working buttons:

ON/OFF Button:

For ON/OFF and webcam and removable storage disk functions.

MODE Button:

There are three modes for this DVR, MODE button is for switching
between these three modes:
1920x1080P 30fps
1280x720P 60fps
1280x720P 30fps.

SHUTTER Button:

For taking picture and starting video recording and stopping video
recording.

MIC:

For recording video sound.

LENS:

For recording video image.

Indicator Light:

Red light: 1920x1080P 30fps,
Green light: 1280x720P 60fps
Orange light:1280x720P 30fps

USB Slot:

Mini USB 8 pins port for connecting to computer for charging and
reading information.

RESET:

For resetting to original setting when DVR system halted.

Operation:

1.Charging:

A:Charging the DVR via the supplied USB cable connecting to
computer, it can also be charged via DC5V.

B: 1): While charging, the yellow light stays on;

2): When charging is full or connecting VW898 to PC when it’s

powered on, the red light stays on;

3): When charging is full or connecting VW898 to PC when it’s

powered off, the yellow light turns off.

C: Charging it for 2 hours will be full, it can record continuously
for about 80 minutes after full charge.
D:It can record while charging.

2.Inserting micro sd card:

Capacity upto 32GB micro sd card is supported.

3.Powering ON & Powering OFF

To power on VW898, please Press briefly the ON/OFF button and
wait for 3 seconds until the red light blinks, in any status, to
power off VW898, please press and hold the ON/OFF button until
the indicator light turns off.

4. Taking Picture:

After switching on, it enters into default 1080P mode, press
briefly the SHUTTER button, the indicator light blinks once, then
it takes one picture and then it turns back to standby mode.
pressing briefly the SHUTTER button again to take one more
picture.

5.Video recording:

After switching on, it enters into standby mode in the default
1080P, pressing and holding the SHUTTER button, the red light
blinks and it starts to record video, to pause, please press briefly
the SHUTTER button again, the red light stops blinking and then it
turns back to standby mode.

6.Switch mode:

There are three modes available, in standby mode, pressing
briefly the MODE button once to switch to different mode as
below:

Red indicator light(default) :1920x1080P 30fps
Green indicator light: 1280x720P 60fps
Orange indicator light: 1280x720P 30fp

Notice: The switch will be effective only after video recording has
stopped.

7.Plug to PC:

When VW898 is powered off and plugging to computer, VW898
will be recognized as a removable storage disk, open the disk
to check recording and set time/date stamp.

8.Webcam:

VW898 can work as a webcam, please power it on first, then press
briefly the ON/OFF button again and then plug it to PC, and then
you will find the standard webcam on “my computer”.
