Intended use
The VWR Mini Blot Mixer combines the actions of a rocker and a shaker to produce a three dimensional
motion that is gentle enough for fragile gels and blots, yet provides thorough mixing. Designed for processing
blots and staining applications, the pitch and speed of the mixer are optimally set to allow for use of a minimal
amount of solution while preventing the membrane or gel from drying out.The flat rubber mat is ideal for
holding blotting boxes or trays.
For research use only. Not intended for any animal or human therapeutic or diagnostic use.

Operation
Blotting boxes or trays may be placed directly on the rubber mat. When placing boxes, it is important to arrange them
evenly to distribute the weight across the platform.
Always load the platform in a uniform and balanced fashion.
Use the On / Off switch to turn the unit on. The direction of rotation in which the unit starts is random and does not affect
mixing. If desired, the rotational direction can be reversed by holding the unit’s base and very briefly touching the rotating
platform on the bottom at one corner. This technique can also be used to select the quietest direction of rotation.
