Amplifiersaregenerallymountedinthehatch/trunkareaofacarorSUV,and
underorbehindtheseatofmostpickuptrucks.Selectalocationthatwill
provideadequateventilationfortheamplifier.Avoidmountingtheamplifier
withthefinsfacingdown.Thefinsshouldbefacingup,eitherverticallyor
horizontally.Securetheamplifierwiththescrewsprovided.

Beforesecuringtheamplifier,inspectthemountinglocationcarefullyto
ensurethatyoudonotdrillintoordamageanyelectrical,hydraulic,fluid,or
fuellines.

amplifiershaveanadjustableinputsensitivityofGainThegainisnot
avolumeorapowerlimitingcontrollikeathrottle.Itmakestheampmore
sensitivetoinputfromthestereo.withthegainuptheampwillreachfulloutput
atalowervolumesettingonthedeck.Athighergainsettingstheampalso
becomesmoremoresensitivetonoisefromthecarselectricalsystem.Tryto

Crossovercontrols

Acrossoverisadevicethatremovesunwantedfrequenciesfromaspeakeror
amplifier.Atweetercaneasilybedestroyedbybassnotesiftheyarenot
filteredout.Likewiseasubwooferwillnotsoundnaturalifitisplayingmidrange
notes.Acrossoverremovesthesesoundsfromthespeaker.Asyoumightguess,

carefuladjustmentinneedtoensure
thatallthespeakersareplayingthe
rightsoundsandthatyouareleftwith
noholesorlowspotsinthe
frequencyresponse.

amplifiershaveanadjustablebassboost.Onthe4
channelDAB-4.1200NthisiscontrolledbyaVRselectingthemostcommonly
usedBASSBOOSTsetting.Beginyouradjustmentsatlowvolume.Ifyoudonot
hearanyimprovementthenwooferdoesnotneedanyBASSBOOST.
TheLowPassFilter(LPF)mustbeswitchedonforthebassboosttoactivate.
