GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Loc ate the batt ery cov er insid e the back of the bear's head. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw.
3. In st al l 2 new ‘AAA’ (LR 03 /AM-4) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.)
4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

BATTERY NOTICE
Use new alkaline batteries for maximum performance.
• Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type as
recommended.
• Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (Ni-Cd, Ni-MH), or new and used batteries.
• Do not use damaged batteries.
• Insert batteries with the correct polarity.
• Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
• Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
• Do not dispose of batteries in re.
• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging (if
removable).
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult
supervision
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Locate the two flat strips of fabric below the bear’s head and thread them through the holes in the blanket. Fasten the Velcro to secure the blanket. Th e remo v abl e blank e t is mac h ine washable, please see the tag for the washing instructions. The bear’s head is surface washable only.

PRODUCT FEATURES
1. ON/OFF SWITCH
The ON/OFF SWITCH is located inside the back of the bear’s head. Slide the ON/OFF SWITCH to the ON ( ) position or the OFF ( )
position.
2. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
To preserve battery life, the VTech® Soothing Songs LoveyTM will automatically power-down after approximately 2 minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the ear button. Please note, activating the motion sensor will not turn the unit back on.
ACTIVITIES
1. Slide the on/off switch to turn the unit on. You will hear a sing-along song and a fun phrase. The light will flash with the sound.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Due to the electronic components, the bear’s head is surface
washable only.
2. The removable blanket is machine washable, please detach the
blanket from the bear’s head before washing.
3. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat
source.
4. Remove the batteries when the unit will not be in use for an
extended period of time.
5. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
1. Please turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again.
5. If the product still does not work, replace with an entire set of new
batteries.
