Make sure the following items came in your
package:
• RCA Bluetooth Wireless Audio System
• AC power adapter
2. Install battery back-up
Battery back-up keeps time for you in case
you lose power. To install battery backup,
open the battery compartment on the
bottom of the wireless audio system and
install 2 AAA batteries (not included). Then
close the battery compartment again.
3. Plug in
Plug the AC power adapter into the DC
5V jack on the back of the wireless audio
system.
Plug the other end into a wall outlet or
surge protector.
4. Set the time
When you first plug in the audio system, the
hours digits on the clock start flashing—it’s
time to set the time! Note: If the hours digits
aren’t flashing, press and hold the TIME SET
button until they do.
Use the TIME/VOLUME
– / + buttons to set the
hour.
For PM, go past 12 (the
PM indicator illuminates
on the clock).
To go faster, press and
hold.
Press the TIME SET
button again to finish
setting the hour. The
minutes digits starts
flashing.
Use the TIME/VOLUME
– and + buttons to set
the minutes. To go
faster, press and hold.
Press the TIME SET
button again to finish
setting the minutes.
5. Pair + connect Bluetooth
Press the BLUETOOTH
button. After a few
seconds, the audio
system says “Pairing”
and the Bluetooth
indicator on the clock
starts blinking.
Enable Bluetooth on your
device (if it isn’t already
enabled).
Choose “RCD340” from the list
of devices available.
After a few seconds, the audio
system says “Connected” and
the Bluetooth indicator on the
clock becomes solid blue.
Start playing audio on your
device. The audio system starts
streaming this audio wirelessly.

Bluetooth Wireless Connection Tips
• Make sure the Bluetooth capability of your
device is turned on.
• The Bluetooth wireless connection works up
to a range of roughly 33 feet (10 meters).
This range may vary, however, based on
other factors, such as room layout, wall
material, obstacles, your device’s Bluetooth
performance, etc. If you’re having problems
connecting to the speaker, move closer to it.
• If your device asks you for a password to
connect, use “0000”.
Using the Audio System
Setting the Alarm
This alarm clock offers two alarms you can set
to different times and use when you want.
1. Press and hold the
SET ALARM button
for the alarm you
want to set. The
hours digit on the
clock starts flashing.
2. Use the VOLUME – and + buttons to set the
hour. For PM, go past 12. To go faster, press
and hold.
3. Press this SET ALARM button again to
finish setting the hour. The minutes digits
starts flashing.
4. Use the VOLUME – and + buttons to set the
minutes. To go faster, press and hold.
5. Press this SET ALARM button again to
finish setting the minutes.
Note: You can set the source for each alarm to
a simple beeping or a Bluetooth audio source.
Press the WAKE TO button for that alarm
when you’ve set the alarm to go through the
options.
Listening to Bluetooth
If you’ve already paired a Bluetooth
device to this audio system, simply
press the BLUETOOTH button on
the audio system to reconnect at any
time.
IMPORTANT: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled
on your device and that the device is in range!
To adjust volume: Press the – VOLUME +
buttons on the audio system, or use the
volume controls on your Bluetooth device.
To pause/continue playback: Press the
PLAY•PAUSE button on the audio system,
or use the playback controls on your device.
To change tracks: Press the TRACK and
TRACK buttons on the audio system, or use
the transport controls on your device.
To connect to a different Bluetooth device:
Press and hold the BLUETOOTH button for
3 seconds to reinitiate pairing mode. Then
connect to the RCD340 through your phone’s
Bluetooth menu.
