INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: To reduce risk of fire, electrical shock or injury, the following basic
safety precautions should always be followed when using an electrical appliance.
WARNING: Before plugging unit into electrical outlet, be sure all electrical information on the rating label agrees with your power supply.
DANGER: Any appliance is electrically live even when switched Off. To reduce risk of electrical shock:
1. Read all instructions.
2. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water or
other liquids.
3. If unit falls into water, immediately unplug power cord. Do not reach into the water.
4. To reduce the risk of contact with hot water emitting from steam vents, check appliance before each use by holding it away from body and operating steam button.
5. Use appliance only for its intended use.
6. Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull to
disconnect.
7. Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let appliance cool completely before putting away.
8. Always disconnect appliance from electrical outlet when filling with water or emptying, and when not in use.
9. Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord, or if the appliance has been

dropped or damaged. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassem­ble or attempt to repair the appliance, take it to a qualified service person for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly or repair could cause a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons when the appliance is used.
10. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near chil-
dren. Do not leave appliance unattended while connected.
11. Burns could occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Use
care when you turn a steam appliance upside down – there may be hot water in the reservoir.
12. For use in the U.S.A., the Dual Voltage Switch should be placed in the 120
volt position. For use in several other countries, the Dual Voltage Switch may need to be placed in the 240 volt position. Confirm the voltage available at each location before using the appliance. For connection to a 240 volt sup­ply, use a suitable attachment plug adapter of the proper configuration for the power supply receptacle.
13. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair

Use Essential Fabric Steamer only for its intended purpose as indicated in this
manual.
Do Not direct steam at people or animals.  Unplug from wall when not in use.  Do Not leave unattended.  Do Not expose to rain.  Do Not use with damaged cord or plug.  Do Not store outdoors.  Do Not use if unit has been dropped.  Do Not handle with wet hands.  Do Not pull or carry by cord.  Not to be used as a toy.  Never put de-scaling, aromatic, alcoholic or detergent products into unit.  Close attention is necessary when used near children.  Danger of scalding - emits very hot steam.  Do Not put any objects into openings.  Do Not put hands or feet in steam.  Not for space heating purposes.  Do Not use an extension cord.  Never turn unit on it's side during use.  To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another appliance on the same
electrical circuit.
Do Not use on leather, wax polished furniture or floors, velvet or other deli-
cate, steam sensitive materials.

Do Not use unit where aerosol-based products are being used, or where
oxygen is being administered.
Unit is only meant to be used with Essential Fabric Steamer accessories. Using
other types of attachments may cause damage to unit or injury.
WARNING: This appliance was set at the factory to operate at -120 volts. Refer to the instructions in this manual for conversion to 240 volt operation. This Essential Fabric Steamer is equipped with a polarized plug. This unit may be used on 120V/240V outlets. For connection to a 240V supply use of a country specific adaptor plug may be needed.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

The Lint Brush is used to remove smaller particles like lint and provides a finishing touch for fine fabrics.
1. Brush fabrics in a downward stroke until lint has been removed.

Accessories
Fabric Brush Installation
The Fabric Brush is used to remove larger particles like loose threads or hair and rejuvenate fibers.
1. Align Fabric Brush on top of the Water Tank Lid and push down rmly
to attach.
Before use, make sure Fabric Brush is aligned and pressed securely onto Fabric Nozzle. This will ensure proper steam output.

Dual Voltage
Setting Voltage
The Essential Fabric Steamer features dual-voltage functionality, which al­lows it to function correctly in regions with either 100-120V or 220-240V elec­trical voltage standards. Voltage is set using the Dual Voltage Switch.
For use in Canada or North America, the Dual Voltage Switch should be placed in the 120V position. CONFIRM the voltage available at each location before using the steamer.
Note: For connection to a 240V supply, use of a country specific adaptor plug may be needed.
WARNING: By default, the Dual Voltage Switch is set to the 120V setting. Be sure to select the correct voltage for your location before plugging power cord into electrical outlet.
To change the voltage setting:
1. Locate Dual Voltage Switch, located on the bottom of the unit.
2. Find a tool with a fine tip – a pen can be used.
3. Carefully insert tip of pen into notch. Slide Dual Volt-
age Switch to the correct setting. Be sure Dual Voltage Switch is secure in the position you have selected.

How To Use
Filling Water Tank
1. Remove Water Tank Lid. Fill Water Tank with water to Max ll line on Wa-
ter Tank Window and replace Water Tank Lid.
CAUTION: Never overfill Water Tank past Max water level. This will result in hot water coming out of Fabric Nozzle.
Using distilled or demineralized water will maximize the life and per­formance of the unit.

How To Use
WARNING: By default, the Dual Voltage Switch is set to the 120V setting. Be sure to select the correct voltage for your location before plugging power cord into electrical outlet.
Operation
1. Unwrap power cord and plug into outlet.
Note: Extension cords are not recommended.
2. Turn On by pressing the Power Button ( ). The light will illuminate white,
indicating the unit is heating.
Note: The unit may take up to 2 minutes to produce steam. Be careful of hot
steam at all times. When steaming delicate fabrics such as silk or velvet, do
not let the Fabric Nozzle touch the fabric directly.
Refilling Water Tank:
1. When you can no longer see water in the Water Level Window, or if steam
stops coming out of the Fabric Nozzle, press the Power Button to turn Off.
WARNING: Let unit cool before refilling with water.
2. Remove Water Tank Lid and rell Water Tank with water to the Max ll line on Water Level Window.

Fabric Recommendations
For use on:
• Silk
• Satin
• Embroidery
Check the fabric care label for manufacturer recommendations. Test the
fabric in a inconspicuous area such as an inner seam.
Avoid direct contact to silk.
Heavy fabrics may need to be steamed longer. For best results, you may
need to steam both sides of fabric.
Certain fabrics are smoothed more easily from the inside of the fabric.
Curtains and draperies can be steamed while still hanging.
Be especially careful when steaming any delicate fabrics that may be
damaged by heat or water spotting.

Storage
1. Press the Power Button to turn Off. Unplug power cord and bundle loose­ly with velcro strap.
2. Allow unit to cool at least 10 minutes, then empty all water and clean external surface with dry cloth. Allow to dry completely.
3. Place unit and accessories in Travel Bag.
4. Store in a cool, dry location.

Cleaning
The cleaning steps below are required to maintain maximum performance of
your unit. Cleaning is very important to maintain Limited Warranty Coverage
and is necessary every 3 to 6 months depending on the mineral content of your water.
1. Press the Power Button to turn Off and unplug unit. Let unit cool at
least 10 minutes, then remove Water
Tank Lid and empty all water.
2. Mix contents of 1 Cleaning Crystal packet with 4 oz. of water.
3. Pour solution into Water Tank and replace Water Tank Lid. Plug in unit, and
press the Touch Sensor Power Button On.
WARNING: During cleaning, place unit where steam can be emitted safely. Steam should be directed away from objects or surfaces that may be affected by steam exposure.
4. Run unit until water level drops to the Min ll line on Water Level Window, or
until steam is no longer emitted. Touch Power Button Off and unplug unit.
Let unit cool at least 10 minutes, then remove Water Tank Lid and empty.
5. Rinse unit by lling Water Tank with water to the Max ll line on Water Level Window. Swish around water inside the Water Tank, then empty all rinse
water. The unit is now ready for use.
6. Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service represen-
tative.

Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Cause and Solution
Essential Fabric Steamer is not operating.
Essential Fabric Steamer does not emit steam or steam output is weak.
Water left on fabric or spewing water from unit.
Steamer is not plugged in properly. Ensure plug fits firmly into outlet.
Power Button is not illuminated. Press Power Button and it should illuminate white, indicating power is On.
Breaker or fuse that unit is plugged into is blown. Make sure Essential Fabric Steamer is the only appli­ance plugged into that circuit and reset breaker or replace fuse.
Check Dual Voltage Switch to make sure proper volt­age is selected.
Water Tank is empty. Fill Water Tank with water.
Mineral build up in unit. Unit needs to be cleaned. Refer to CLEANING on page 17.
Allow more space between Fabric Nozzle and fabric.
Water Tank has been overlled. Do not ll past Max
water level.

Essential Fabric Steamer • 5 Year Limited Warranty
What is covered
Subject to the terms and conditions of this 5-Year Limited Warranty (“Warranty”) as set forth below, Vornado Air, LLC (“Vornado”) warrants to the original consumer or pur­chaser (“Buyer”) that this Essential Fabric Steamer product, excluding all accessories and attachments, (the “Product”) is to be free from defects in material and workmanship
for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase when used and maintained in
accordance with the Owner’s Guide (the “Warranty Period”). In the event Buyer noti­es Vornado of a defect in the Product within the Warranty Period, Vornado will, at its
sole option and discretion, repair or replace the Product and/or defective components. Such repairs or replacement will be made at no charge to Buyer for parts or labor, provided that Buyer shall be responsible for all shipping and transportation costs associ­ated with returning the Product to Vornado for covered repairs or replacement.
What is not covered
This Warranty shall not be applicable to damage or loss caused in whole or in part by:
- Repairs, modifications or alterations to the Product by anyone other than Vornado.
- Use or operation of the Product outside the permitted or intended uses described
by Vornado in the Owner’s Guide, or other careless operation, handling, misuse, or abuse of the Product.

Warranty
- Lack of proper maintenance or timely cleaning of the Product as specified in the
Owner’s Guide.
- Use of the Product other than for normal household purposes.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Used consumable parts, accessories and attachments, including, but not limited to,
brushes, scrub pads, mop pads, cleaning tools and cartridges.
- Use of parts and accessories other than those produced or recommended by
Vornado.
- Cosmetic damage, such as scratches, nicks and dents.
- Damage caused by accident, water, flood, fire or other acts of nature or external
causes.
Warranty limitations and exclusions
- NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY IS GIVEN BY VORNADO TO BUYER AND NO REP-
RESENTATIVE HAS THE AUTHORITY TO MAKE REPRESENTATIONS OTHER THAN THOSE PROVIDED HEREIN.
- THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON
THE FACE HEREOF AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SPECIFICALLY THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD, UNLESS A SHORTER PERIOD IS PERMITTED BY LAW.
- VORNADO’S REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT IS THE EXCLUSIVE
REMEDY. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL VORNADO BE LIABLE TO BUYER OR ANY OTHER PERSON FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR OTHER DAMAGES, EVEN IF VORNADO HAS BEEN ADVISED OF OR COULD REA­SONABLY FORESEE THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
LIMITED TO, LOSS OF PROFITS OR DAMAGE, WHETHER RISING OUT OF BREACH

How do you register the Warranty
Buyer must complete an application to register this Warranty within sixty (60) days fol­lowing date of purchase. Buyer may either visit Vornado’s website at www.vornado.com and complete an online application or mail a completed application to:

Failure to register this Warranty within sixty (60) days following date of purchase will render this Warranty null and void.
Warranty service
For warranty or repair service, call 1-800-234-0604 or email
consumerservice@vornado.com to obtain a Return Authorization (“RA”) form. Include
the Product model number and serial number, as well as Buyer’s name, address, city, state, zip code and phone number when contacting Vornado for warranty service. Buyer

may be required to provide the original sales receipt for purposes of verifying date of purchase.
After receiving the RA form, the Product must be shipped, postage prepaid by Buyer, to:
To assure proper handling, packages must be clearly marked with the RA number. Pack­ages not clearly marked with the RA number may be refused at the receiving dock.
Important: After receiving return authorization, carefully pack the Product to avoid
damage in shipping. Damage in shipping is not covered by the Warranty and shall be the sole responsibility of Buyer. Damage or loss not covered by this Warranty or occur­ring outside the Warranty Period will require a fee to cover the cost of repairs, including
materials, handling and shipping. All such fees and costs shall be the sole responsibility of Buyer.
Please allow at least 1-2 weeks for repair and return of the Product after it is received by Vornado.
For ease of recordkeeping, it is recommended that Buyer staple or attached the original sales receipt to this Owner’s Guide and record the Product serial number (located on the Product specifications decal) here:
