INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PS9 SERIES POWER SUPPLY
1.0 SPECIFICA TIONS:
Input: 120 V AC, .2 amperes, 50/60 Hz
Output: 9VDC, .3 amperes, regulated output protected with foldback current limiting
Enclosure: 10” high x 10” wide x 4” deep hinged cover box, six (6) 1/2” knockouts total
on sides and back, (optional keylock available)
Battery Backup: Backup time - 12 hours at .3A (or 2 ALKs in alarm)
Battery - one (1) 1.2AH or 1.3AH lead acid battery
Temperature: 0º to 120º F

2.0 MOUNTING:
For proper ventilation, power supply must be mounted upright in an area which allows free air circulation.
Mount with appropriate hardware (screws or bolts) through each of the four (4) mounting holes in the rear
of the enclosure.
3.0 WIRING: (refer to FIGURE 1)
3.1 Ensure AC breaker is open before connecting AC power to the power supply .
3.2 For all supply connections, use wires suitable for at least 90º C (194º F) temperature.
3.3 Input conductors must be segregated from the output conductors, they must not intermingle.
3.4 Connect the load to the DC OUTPUT terminals + (positive) and - (negative).
3.5 Connect AC input to the AC input wires using insulated connectors.
Secure the field ground conductor under the chassis ground nut.
3.6 Close breaker to turn on the power supply , the red POWER ON LED should be illuminated.

DANGER - Charge only V on Duprin specified
lead acid battery . Other types of batteries may
burst causing personal injury and damage.
Observe the proper polarity when connecting the battery. See Figure 1.
The battery backup consists of one (1) 12V 1.2 or 1.3AH lead acid battery. Connect the red and black wires
to the battery , being careful to connect red to + (positive) and black to - (negative) terminals on the battery.
Place the battery in the bottom of the enclosure in an upright position only to complete the installation.
5.0 KEYLOCK:
The keylock option (PS9) consists of a one (1) piece lock with two (2) keys. Use the following installation
steps to properly install this option.
5.1 Remove the keylock knockout located on the enclosure door with a screwdriver .
5.2 Rotate the key fully clockwise in the lock then insert the lock through the knockout with the
locking lever pointing toward the right hand side of the door. Snap into place.
