Insta ll th e UPS i n a pro tec ted a rea t hat i s fre e of exces sive dust and has adequate ai r flo w. Please place the UPS away from other units at l eas t 20 cm t o avo id in ter fer enc e. Do N OT operate the UPS where the t emp erature and h umi dit y is ou tsi de th e spe cif ic li mits. (Please chec k the s pec s for t he li mit ati ons .)
Connect to Utility an d Cha rgi ng
Be for e ini tia l use , ple ase p lug i n the AC input cord to the wall ou tle t and t urn o n the U PS fo r cha rgi ng. F or th e bes t resul ts, s ugg est t o cha rge t he ba tte ry at least 8 hours be fore ini tia l use . The U PS ch arg es it s batter y while co nne cti ng to t he ut ili ty wi th po wer on.
Connect the Loads
Pl ug in t he lo ads t o out put r ece pta cles on the rear panel of the U PS. Simp ly tu rn on t he po wer s wit ch of U PS unit, then devices con nec ted t o the U PS wi ll be p rot ect ed by U PS un it.
CAUTION: NEVER connect a laser pr int er or s can ner t o th e UPS u nit . Thi s may c aus e the d ama ge of the unit.
Turn On/Off the Unit
Turn o n the UPS unit by pressing the pow er sw itc h. Turn off the UPS uni t by press ing a gai n the p owe r swi tch.
