Warranty Statement

The Vollrath Company LLC warrants the products it manufactures and distributes against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year, except as specically provided below. The warranty runs 12 months from the date of original installation. (End user receipt)

1. Refrigeration compressors – The warranty period is 5 years.

2. Replacement parts – The warranty period is 90 days.

3. Fry pans and coated cookware – The warranty period is 90 days

4. EverTite™ Riveting System – The warranty covers loose rivets only, forever.

5. Cayenne® Heat Strips – The warranty period is 1 year plus an additional 1 year period on heating element parts only.

6. Ultra, Ultra Fajita, Mirage® Pro and Professional Induction Ranges – The warranty period is 2 years.

7. Mirage®, Mirage® Cadet, Mirage® Fajita and Commercial Induction Ranges - The warranty period is 1 year.

8. ServeWell® Induction Workstations – The warranty period is 1 year on the workstation table and 2 years on induction hobs.

9. Slicers – The warranty period is 10 years on gears and 5 years on belts.

10. Mixers – The warranty period is 2 years, belts 5 years.

11. Extended warranties are available at the time of sale.

12. Vollrath – Redco products – The warranty period is 2 years.

13. Optio / Arkadia product lines – The warranty period is 90 days.

14. All non-stick products (i.e. fry pans and surfaces) are 90 days for the non stick surfaces.

All products in the Jacob’s Pride® collection, including the following, have a lifetime warranty:

THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE

As The Vollrath Company LLC’s only responsibility and the purchaser’s only remedy, for any breach of warranty, The Vollrath Company LLC will repair or, at its option, replace the defective product or part without charge, except as otherwise provided below:

• For refrigeration compressors and the second year of the warranty on Cayenne® Heat Strips and mixers, The Vollrath Company LLC will provide the repaired or replacement part only; and the buyer will be responsible for all labor charges incurred in performing the repair or replacement.

• To obtain warranty service, the buyer will be responsible to return to The Vollrath Company LLC any product (other than gas equipment that is permanently installed) weighing less than 110 lbs. or located outside of a 50-mile radius of a certied technician designated by The Vollrath Company LLC to perform warranty repairs. If a Vollrath Technician cannot be contacted check the website for service contact points. (Please refer to the Product Catalogue for weights and sizes of product)

• No remedy will be available for products that have been damaged by accident, carelessness, improper installation, lack of proper setup or supervision when required, neglect, improper use, installation or operation contrary to installation and operating instructions or other causes not arising out of defects in materials or workmanship. At the buyer’s request, The Vollrath Company LLC will repair and or replace such products at a reasonable cost.

• No remedy will be available for slicers where blade has not been sharpened (Refer to owner’s manual for sharpening instructions)

• No remedy will be available for mixers damaged by changing gears while equipment is running or overloading, in either case as determined by a Vollrath Certied Technician

• Warranty work must be authorized in advance by The Vollrath Company LLC. See the operating and safety instructions for each product for detailed warranty claim procedures.

• No remedy will be available for product returned and found to be acceptable to the product specication.

• No remedy will be available under any warranty not registered as required below.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

THE VOLLRATH COMPANY LLC SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER BASED UPON NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER TORT, BREACH OF WARRANTY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY.

• All warranty claims will start with a call to Vollrath Technical Service support line.(800-628-0832).

• A technical support professional will work to diagnose the issues, and provide the details for the service solution.

• Date of purchase and proof of purchase (Receipt)

• Name of dealer where unit was purchased

NOTE: Vollrath will not accept products sent without the proper procedure being followed.

WARNING: It is absolutely forbidden to tamper with, engrave, alter, or remove the nameplate from the appliance. Do not cover it with adhesive tape or other such material as it must always be clearly visible.

WARNING: If the nameplate is found to be damaged for any reason whatsoever, (detached from the machine, damaged or only partly legible) notify the manufacturer immediately.

2.3 TECHNICAL SERVICE

2.3.1 WARRANTY

The manufacturer products are normally subjected to severe quality and functional checks before installation to ensure safety and in the interests of our Clients.

2.3.1.1 COVER

The manufacturer products are covered by a warranty for manufacturing and machining defects, and we undertake to replace parts found to be defective by the manufacturer free of charge.

2.3.1.2 DURATION

The manufacturer products come with a twelve-month warranty from the date indicated on the purchase document.

2.3.1.3 GENERAL CONDITIONS

According to the manufacturer warranty: a) The warranty gives exclusive rights for free replacement of components acknowledged as defective by the manufacturer or our authorized

representative.

b) The manufacturer responsibility is limited exclusively to replacing parts found to be defective; we shall not acknowledge claims for any other kind

of damage.

c) The Client is entirely responsible for returning disputed and/or defective parts to the manufacturer ofce, and all transport charges for delivering

the parts.

d) Parts subject to normal wear are excluded from the warranty. e) Repairs, if any, do not in any manner lead to extension of the warranty.

2.3.1.4 TERMINATION

Apart from the normal validity period, the warranty will immediately lapse in the following cases:

a) Appliance nameplate tampered with, altered in any manner or removed without informing the manufacturer immediately. b) Modications on the appliance or its parts without written authorization from the manufacturer. Tampering with the appliance or its parts, apart

from invalidating the warranty, will free the manufacturer of all liability for all damage to persons, animals or objects.

c) Failure to respect the indications in this Manual. d) Using the appliance for purpose other than that specied in this Manual. e) Damage or accident to the appliance deriving from outside factors. f) Conduction, repair and/or maintenance operations carried out by untrained personnel.

2.3 ASSISTANCE TECHNIQUE

2.3.1 GARANTIE

Tous les produits de le fabricant sont normalement soumis à des contrôles qualitatifs fonctionnels sévères avant l’installation pour la sauvegarde et dans l’intérêt des clients.

2.3.1.1 COUVERTURE

Le fabricant garantit ses produits contre tous les défauts de fabrication et d’usinage et s’engage à remplacer gratuitement à ses clients les éventuelles pièces considérées comme défectueuses par la société constructrice.

2.3.1.2 DURÉE

Le fabricant garantit ses produits pendant 12 (douze) mois à compter de la date de vente présente sur le document d’achat.

2.3.1.3 CONDITIONS GÉNÉRALES

La garantie de le fabricant prévoit : a) La garantie donne droit exclusivement au remplacement gratuit des

composants reconnus défectueux par le fabricant ou par un responsable agréé.

b) La responsabilité de le fabricant se limite au remplacement des pièces

éventuellement constatées défectueuses ; en aucun cas, le fabricant ne reconnaîtra les réclamations pour indemnisations d’autre genre.

c) La remise des pièces constatées et/ou défectueuses est prévue dans

le siège de le fabricant et tous les frais de transport pour la livraison des pièces sont entièrement à la charge du client.

d) Sont exclus de la garantie les composants d’usure normale. e) Les éventuelles réparations réalisées n’entraînent en aucun cas le

prolongement de la période de garantie.

2.3.1.4 CESSATION

En plus de la n de la période normale de couverture, la garantie échouera immédiatement dans les cas suivants : a) Plaque signalétique de l’appareil altéré, modié de quelque manière ou

enlevée sans que le fabricant en ait été rapidement averti.

b) Exécution de modications sur l’appareil ou sur des pièces sans autori-

sation préalable écrite du fabricant. L’altération de l’appareil ou de ses pièces, outre aboutir à la cessation de la garantie, soulève le fabricant de tout dommage aux personnes, animaux ou choses.

c) Non-respect des indications illustrées sur le manuel. d) Emploi de l’appareil différent de celui prévu par le manuel. e) Dommages ou sinistres subis par l’appareil dérivant de facteurs étran-

gers.

f) Opérations de conduite, réparation et/ou entretien réalisées par du

personnel non spécialisé.

2.3 ASISTENCIA TÉCNICA

2.3.1 GARANTÍA

Todos los productos del fabricante son sometidos normalmente a severos controles cualitativos y funcionales antes de su instalación como garantía de protección y salvaguardia de los intereses de sus propios clientes.

2.3.1.1 COBERTURA

El fabricante garantiza sus propios productos contra todos los defectos de fabricación y elaboración y se compromete a sustituir gratuitamente a las máquinas de sus clientes eventuales piezas que pudieran ser encontradas como defectuosas por la casa fabricante misma.

2.3.1.2 DURACIÓN

El fabricante garantiza sus propios productos por el período de12 (doce) meses a contar de la fecha de venta que aparece en el documento de compraventa.

2.3.1.3 CONDICIONES GENERALES

Respecto de la garantía del fabricante queda establecido que: a) la garantía concede derecho exclusivamente a la sustitución gratuita

de los componentes reconocidos como defectuosos por el fabricante o por un encargado autorizado por la misma;

b) la responsabilidad del fabricante queda limitada sólo a la sustitución

de las piezas eventualmente defectuosas; en ningún caso el fabricante aceptará reclamaciones por indemnizaciones de ningún otro tipo;

c) la restitución de las piezas cuestionadas y/o defectuosas está prevista en

el establecimiento del fabricante y todos los gastos de transporte relativos a la entrega de dichas piezas quedan enteramente a cargo del cliente;

d) quedan excluidos de la garantía los componentes sujetos a desgaste normal; e) las eventuales reparaciones efectuadas no determinan de ninguna

manera la prolongación del período de garantía.

2.3.1.4 CESACIÓN

La garantía perderá de inmediato su validez, esto es, antes del previsto período de doce meses, en los siguientes casos: a) placa de identicación de la máquina dañada, alterada de cualquier forma o

retirada sin que el fabricante haya sido tempestivamentepuesto en conocimiento del hecho;

introducción de modicaciones en la máquina o en sus partes sin previa autorización escrita otorgada por el fabricante. La alteración de la máquina o de sus partes -además de provocar la invalidación de la garantía - eximirá el fabricante de toda responsabilidad por lesiones a las personas o a animales y daños a las cosas que de ello deriven;

c) inobservancia de las instrucciones del presente manual; d) uso de la máquina diferente de aquel previsto en el presente manual; e) daños o siniestros sufridos por la máquina como consecuencia de

factores externos;

f) operaciones de conducción, reparación y/o mantenimiento ejecutadas

2.4.2.5 MACHINE MAINTENANCE, SERVICING AND REPAIR

- Remove the plug from the power socket before carrying out any operation.

- Carry out all machine maintenance and servicing operations punctually.

- Damage, if any, must be repaired exclusively by qualied personnel.

2.4.2.6 MODIFYING THE APPLIANCE

-Do not make any modications or changes on the machine without the manufacturer’s permission.

- Replace all deteriorated, worn or damaged parts immediately (replacement must be done by a qualied technician).

- Use only genuine spare parts.

2.4.2.7 FIRE PREVENTION

2.4.2.2 PERSONNEL PRÉPOSÉ À L’EMPLOI DE LA MACHINE

DANGER ! L’emploi de la machine n’est permis qu’au personnel instruit. Ce personnel doit être à connaissance des normes de sé-

curité et des instructions d’emploi contenues dans ce manuel.

Cet appareil n’est pas apte à être utilisé par des personnes (y

compris les enfants) présentant des capacités physiques, sensorielles et mentales réduites, ou manquant d’expérience,

à mois qu’elles ne soient surveillées et instruites sur l’utilisation de l’appareil par une personne responsable de leur sécurité. Il faut contrôler que les enfants ne jouent pas avec l’appareil.

- Ne pas enler d’objets dans les fentes de ventilation de la ma-

chine : danger d’électrocution !

- L’utilisation d’eau courante, jets d’eau et/ou vapeur est interdite

dans le lieu d’installation de la machine : danger d’électrocution !

2.4.2.8 CLEANING AND DISMANTLING THE MACHINE

-Clean the machine regularly by following the instructions given in this Manual. Use and handle cleaning products according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

-Scrapping and disposal of the machine, parts and products used for cleaning the machine must be done strictly in compliance with the applicable standards.

2.4.2.9 HAZARDS DERIVING FROM PNEUMATIC SPRINGS APPLIED ON THE PLEXIGLAS COVER

-Never open the pneumatic springs, as the pressure inside them is extremely high(about 180 bar).

-Before scrapping the machine, discharge the pneumatic springs. Request instructions for disposal.

2.4.2.8 NETTOYAGE ET ÉLIMINATION DE LA MACHINE

ATTENTION !

- Nettoyer la machine régulièrement en suivant les instructions du manuel.

Utiliser et manier les produits détergents selon les indications

du producteur.

- Démolir et éliminer la machine, ses pièces et les produits détergents utilisés pour le nettoyage de l’appareil en

respectant scrupuleusement les normes en vigueur.

2.4.2.9 DANGERS DÉRIVANT DES RESSORTS À GAZ APPLIQUÉS AU COUVERCLE EN PLEXIGLAS

DANGER !

- Ne pas ouvrir les ressorts à gaz. Ces derniers ont une pression interne extrêmement élevée (environ 180 bars).

- Avant d’éliminer la machine, les ressorts à gaz doivent être déchargés. Demander les instructions pour l’élimination.

2.4.2.8 LIMPIEZA Y DESGUACE DE LA MÁQUINA

¡ATENCIÓN!

- Limpiar la máquina periódicamente aplicando las instrucciones de este mismo manual.

Utilizar y operar con los productos detergentes respetando las

indicaciones de los productores.

- Desguazar y desechar/reciclar la máquina, sus componentes y los productos detergentes utilizados para efectuar su limpieza aplicando rigurosamente la normativa vigente.

2.4.2.9 PELIGROS DERIVADOS DE LOS RESORTES DE GAS APLICADOS EN LA TAPA DE PLEXIGLÁS

¡PELIGRO!

- No abrir por ningún motivo los resortes de gas, ya que su presión interna es extremadamente alta (más o menos 180

bares).

- Antes de desguazar/reciclar la máquina y sus componentes es necesario descargar los resortes de gas. Solicitar instrucciones precisas para ejecutar estas operaciones.
