1. Overview
The VOLKTEK NVF-7200 series is specifically
designed for surveillance systems requiring
seamless transmission over long distances. The
most common applications are in customer premises,
factories, airports, freeways and tunnels.
The NVF-7200 transmitter converts video signals to
light over a fiber link to the NVF-7200 receiver, which
then converts the light back into analog signals and
displays the images on a monitor. The NVF-7200
series is capable of transmitting one video channel
over one fiber cable. Optical transmission of video is
the best solution for long distance transmission and
high display quality. The NVF-7200 series can be
deployed in NXF-711 1-slot, NXF-717 4-slot and
NXF-719 2-slot chassis.

4. Hardware Installation Procedure
STEP 1:
Connect the AC adaptor to the power input on the
rear panel of Transmitter. Alternatively, connect DC
+12V power directly to the terminal block in the
rear panel.
STEP 2:
Connect CCTV camera to Transmitter. The video (V )
LED should be on. If not, please connect CCTV camera
to a monitor to make sure the CCTV camera and
cable are in working order.
STEP 3:
Connect the AC adaptor to the power input on the
rear panel of Receiver. Alternatively, connect DC+
12V power directly to the terminal block in the rear
panel.
STEP 4:
Connect fiber to Transmitter and Receiver. The fiber
(F) LED should turn on to indicate that it is receiving
the signal from the remote site. If not, please check
fiber cables.
STEP 5:
Connect monitor to Receiver. The monitor should
display CCTV camera image immediately. If Video
(V ) LED on receiver is off this indicates the Receiver
is not receiving the CCTV signal from the Transmitter
site, please check fiber cable and remote site.
STEP 6:
For NVF-7221 models, please connect 2 wire RS-485
to Transmitter and Receiver. The Data (D) LED will
flash when data is being transmitted.
