RECOMMANDATIONS D’USAGE

• Avant d’utiliser le système, vérifiez si la tension d’alimentation figurant dans son manuel d’utilisation correspond à votre source. Dans la
négative, consultez votre fournisseur.

• Placez l’appareil contre une surface plane, ferme et stable.

• L’appareil doit être installé à un emplacement suffisamment ventilé pour écarter tout risque d’échauffement interne et il ne doit pas être
couvert avec des objets tels que journaux, nappes, rideaux, etc.

• L’appareil ne doit jamais être exposé à des sources de chaleur, telles que des appareils de chauffage.

• Ne pas placer l’appareil à proximité d’objets enflammés telles que des bougies allumées, chalumeaux, etc.

• L’appareil ne doit pas être exposé à des agents chimiques agressifs ou solvants susceptibles d’altérer la matière plastique ou de corroder
les éléments métalliques.

• Le terminal doit être portée à la ceinture au moyen de son clip ceinture

Les opérations décrites ci-dessous vous permettent de rapidement et simplement mettre en œuvre votre système de communication VOKKERO®
Guardian Wireless Interface (WI) .

Toutes les opérations décrites sont communes aux versions de produit VOKKERO® Guardian WI listées ci-dessous :

Note : la référence de votre produit se trouve sur l’étiquette située sous le produit.

Le système se compose des éléments suivant :

• Boitier Wireless Interface (WI)

• Un bloc alimentation

• Une antenne radio

• (Option) Un kit de déport d’antenne

L’interface WI permet de faire fonctionner un système de conférence sans fil VOKKERO® Guardian avec une système de communication filaire.
Pour pouvoir configurer l’interface, il est nécessaire de relier l’équipement à un configurateur/chargeur VOKKERO® Guardian. Lors de la première
utilisation, une configuration est nécessaire pour rendre le système compatible avec le système de conférence VOKKERO® Guardian.

Tous les paramètres de fonctionnement du système WI sont gérés par le configurateur. Celui-ci donne accès aux menus de réglages via un écran
tactile.

2. MISE EN ROUTE DE L’INTERFACE

Avant de connecter le bloc secteur, l’interrupteur du produit doit être positionné sur OFF

• Pour allumer l’appareil, positionnez le bouton « Marche / Arrêt » sur ON.

• Pour éteindre l’appareil, basculez le bouton « Marche / Arrêt » sur OFF.

Dès la mise sous tension du produit, l’écran LCD du terminal doit s’allumer et afficher le logo
VOKKERO®.

Puis l’écran de « Bienvenue » suivi du nom du produit s’affiche. Par défaut le produit présente le
nom : « Guardian ». Ce nom peut être configuré sur le configurateur.

NOTE 1 : tous les paramètres, y compris le réglage du volume, sont conservés lorsque l’on éteint l’appareil et restent identiques lorsque l’on
rallume l’appareil.

Lorsque le produit est démarré, vous pouvez changer le canal (ou groupe) de communication avec les 2 boutons «flèches haut et bas» présents

Le boutons de réglage est un bouton rotatif sans fin avec une fonction validation. Un appui long sur le bouton permet de basculer dans le mode
de configuration audio des entrées/sorties.

3. CONFIGURATION RADIO

3.1. Connection

L’interface se connecte au configurateur grâce au connecteur USB situé en face avant. Il doit être relié à la prise USB du configurateur/char­geur VOKKERO® Guardian. Le câble USB est fourni avec votre équipement.

4. CONFIGURATION AUDIO

4.1. Configuration avec système Intercom 4 fils

L’interface WI est conçue pour être reliée à un intercom 4 fils. Vous trouverez ci-après 2 exemples de configuration :

4.1.1. Clearcom Interface 4 fils

• Brancher un cable entre le connecteur vert Clearcom et 2 XLR 3 points male et femmelle.
Afin d’identifier le cablage se référer au manuel d’utilisation de l’interface Clearcom IF4W4.

• Branchez sur un câble XLR 3 pts (male/femelle) entre le connecteur « OUT1 » de l’interface système 4 fils et le connecteur «IN» de l’inter­face Wireless Interface (WI) Guardian.

4.2. Configuration avec système Intercom 2 fils

Le fonctionnement de l’interface WI avec un système Intercom 2 fils nécessite l’utilisation d’un convertisseur audio 2 fils / 4 fils.

Plusieurs essais de matériel ont été réalisés et nous préconisons l’utilisation de la référence :

• ALTAIR ALT4W2-200 avec un cordon « Y » de type CANFORD YL908

Il est également recommandé de réaliser un déport d’antenne au moyen d’un cable RF. Différentes longueurs de câble RF ou kit de déport sont
disponibles sur demande auprès de notre service commercial.

La liste des différentes références d’Intercom 2 fils ci-dessous n’est pas exhaustive et les réglages donnés pour le convertisseur 2 fils / 4 fils et
l’Interface WI Guardian sont donnés à titre indicatif.

INTRODUCTION

The instructions given below will make it simple and easy for you to start using your VOKKERO® Guardian Wireless Interface (WI) communica­tion system.

All of the operations described are shared by the versions of the VOKKERO® Guardian WI product listed below:

The system is made up of the following elements:

The WI interface makes it possible to operate a VOKKERO® Guardian wireless conference system with a wired communication system. In
order to be able to configure the interface, you will need to link the equipment to a VOK-KERO® Guardian configurator/charger. When using
it for the first time, you will need to configure it in order to ensure that the system is compatible with the VOKKERO® Guardian conference
system.

All of the WI system’s operational parameters are controlled by the configurator. This lets you access the settings menu via a touchscreen.

2. STARTING THE INTERFACE

Before connecting the power supply, please ensure that the switch on the device is set to OFF

• To switch the device on, set the “On/Off” switch to ON.

• To switch the device off, set the “On/Off” switch to OFF.

2.1. Description of screen icons (default)

Once you have switched on the device, the LCD screen will light up and the VOKKERO® logo
will be displayed.

The “Welcome” screen will then be displayed, followed by the device name. By default, the
product’s name will be “Guardian”. This name can be modified on the configurator.

NOTE 1: all settings, including the volume settings, will be retained when the device is switched off and will remain the same once the device is
switched back on.

2.2. Description of screen icons (default)

2.3. How the interface works

2.3.1. CHANNEL/GROUP selection

When the device is switched on, you can change the communication channel (or group) with the 2 “high and low ar-rows” located on the front
of the device. Pressing on the “up arrow” button will move it up a position, while pressing on the “down arrow” button will move it down a
position.

2.3.2. “CALL” BUTTON

The “CALL” button lets you make a call to all other VOKKERO® Guardian wireless terminals. Simply pressing the button will trigger the call
sequence: the button will flash red, you will hear a beep during the call and the device’s vibrate function will be activated.

2.3.3. SETTINGS BUTTON

The settings button is a continuous rotation button with a validation function. A long press on the button will let you switch to audio configura­tion mode for input/output.
Rotating the button will allow you to navigate between the different available options. Pressing the button will allow you to validate.

3. RADIO CONFIGURATION

3.1. Connection

The interface can be connected to the configurator using the USB socket on the top of the device. It must be linked to the USB socket of the
VOKKERO® Guardian configurator/charger. The USB cable comes supplied with your ap-pliance.
The WI icon will be displayed on the configurator’s home screen.

3.2. Configuration with the VOKKERO® Guardian conference system

The WI interface must be configured at the same time as the other conference system equipment. If the WI interface is connected during the
quick config operation, it will then be configurated automatically and will be ready for use.

4. AUDIO CONFIGURATION

4.1. Configuration with 4-wire Intercom systems

The WI interface is designed to be connected to a 4-wire intercom. Below you will find 2 configuration examples:

4.1.1. Clearcom 4-wore interface

• Connect a cable between the green connector of the clearcom interface and two XLR 3 pts male and female.
In order to identify the cabling, refer to the Clearcom IF4W4 user guide.

• Connect an XLR 3 pts cable (male/female) between the “OUT1” connector of the 4-wire interface system and the “IN” connector of the
Vokkero Guardian wireless interface.

4.2. Configuration with 2-wire Intercom systems

Operating the WI interface with a 2-wire Intercom system requires the use of a 2-wire/4-wire audio convertor.

Several material tests have been carried out, and we would recommend using the reference:
ALTAIR ALT4W2-200 with a CANFORD YL908 type “Y” cable

We would also recommend offsetting the antenna using an RF cable. Different lengths of RF cable or offset kit are available on request from our
sales department.

The list of different 2-wire Intercom references found below is not exhaustive and the settings for the 2-wire/4-wire convertor and the Guardian
WI Interface are given as an example.

• Überprüfen Sie vor Benutzung des Systems, ob die in dessen Betriebsanleitung angegebene Versorgungsspannung mit Ihrer Stromquelle
übereinstimmt. Falls nicht, wenden Sie sich an Ihren Lieferanten.

• Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine ebene, feste und stabile Oberfläche.

• Das Gerät muss an einem ausreichend belüfteten Standort installiert werden, um jedes Risiko einer internen Überhitzung auszuschließen,
und es darf nicht mit Objekten wie Zeitungen, Decken, Gardinen usw. abgedeckt werden.

• Das Gerät darf auf keinen Fall Hitzequellen wie Heizgeräten ausgesetzt werden.

• Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe brennender Gegenstände wie Kerzen, Lötbrennern, usw. auf.

Die nachfolgend beschriebenen Vorgänge ermöglichen einen schnellen und einfachen Einsatz Ihres VOKKE-RO®-Kommunikationssystems Guar­dian Wireless Interface (WI).

Alle im Folgenden beschriebenen Schritte gelten für die unten aufgeführten VOKKERO® Guardian WI-Produktversionen gleichermaßen:

Das System setzt sich aus folgenden Elementen zusammen:

Mit dem WI-Interface lässt sich ein drahtloses VOKKERO® Guardian Konferenzsystem mit einem drahtgebundenen Kommunikationssystem
betreiben. Zum Konfigurieren des Interfaces ist es erforderlich, das Gerät mit einem VOK-KERO® Guardian Konfigurator/Ladegerät zu verbinden.
Bei der erstmaligen Benutzung muss eine Konfiguration durchgeführt werden, um das System mit dem VOKKERO® Guardian Konferenzsystem
kompatibel zu machen.

Alle Betriebsparameter des WI-Systems werden vom Konfigurator verwaltet. Dieser bietet Zugriff auf die Einstel-lungsmenüs mittels eines Tou­chdisplays.

2. INBETRIEBNAHME DES INTERFACES

Vor dem Anschließen des Netzteils muss der Schalter des Produkts auf OFF gestellt sein.

• Zum Einschalten des Geräts stellen Sie den „Marche / Arrêt“-Knopf auf ON.

•

• Zum Ausschalten des Geräts stellen Sie den „Marche / Arrêt“-Knopf auf OFF.

2.1. Beschreibung der Symbole auf dem Bildschirm (standardmäßig)

Nachdem das Produkt eingeschaltet wurde, sollte der LCD-Bildschirms des Endgeräts aufleuch­ten und das VOK-KERO®-Logo anzeigen.

Anschließend erscheint der „Bienvenue“-Willkommensbildschirm gefolgt vom Namen des

Produkts. Das Produkt zeigt standardmäßig den Namen „Guardian“ an. Dieser Name lässt sich
im Konfigurator einstellen.

HINWEIS 1: Alle Parameter, einschließlich der Lautstärkeeinstellung, werden gespeichert, wenn das Gerät ausge-schaltet wird, und bleiben
somit nach dem Wiedereinschalten des Geräts erhalten.

2.2. Beschreibung der Symbole auf dem Bildschirm (standardmäßig)

2.3. Funktionsweise des Interfaces

2.3.1. Auswahl von KANAL/GRUPPE

Wenn das Produkt gestartet ist, können Sie den Kommunikationskanal (oder die Komm.-Gruppe) mit den beiden „Pfeil nach oben und unten“­Tasten auf der Vorderseite des Produkts wechseln. Ein Druck auf die Taste „Pfeil nach oben” schaltet eine Position herauf, ein Druck auf die
Taste „Pfeil nach unten“ schaltet eine Position herunter.

2.3.2. CALL-TASTE

Die „CALL“-Taste ermöglicht das Senden eines Rufs an alle drahtlosen VOKKERO® Guardian Endgeräte. Eine einfa-che Betätigung startet die
Rufsequenz: Die Taste blinkt rot, es erklingt ein Piepton während des Rufs, und die Vibra-tion des Geräts wird aktiviert.

2.3.3. EINSTELLKNOPF

Beim EINSTELLKNOPF handelt es sich um einen Endlosdrehregler mit einer Bestätigungsfunktion. Durch langes Drücken des Knopfes kann in
den Audio-Konfigurationsmodus für die Eingänge/Ausgänge gewechselt werden.
Durch Drehen des Knopfes lassen sich die verschiedenen verfügbaren Optionen durchschalten, mit einem Druck auf den Knopf werden diese
bestätigt.

Folgende Einstellungen stehen zur Verfügung:

• Gain audio out: Zugriff auf das Einstellungsmenü der Audio out-Verstärkung

• Gain audio in: Zugriff auf das Einstellungsmenü der Audio in-Verstärkung

• Echo cancellation: Aktivierung/Deaktivierung der Echokompensationsoption

3. FUNKKONFIGURATION

3.1. Verbindung

Das Interface wird mit dem Konfigurator unter Verwendung des USB-Steckers an der Vorderseite verbunden. Er muss an die USB-Buchse des
VOKKERO® Guardian Konfigurators/Ladegeräts angeschlossen werden. Das USB-Kabel wird mit Ihrem Gerät mitgeliefert.
Das WI-Symbol erscheint auf dem Hauptdisplay des Konfigurators.

3.2. Konfiguration mit VOKKERO® Guardian Konferenzsystem

Das WI-Interface muss mit allen anderen Geräten des Konferenzsystems gleichzeitig konfiguriert werden. Wird das WI-Interface beim Quick
Config-Vorgang angeschlossen, so wird es automatisch konfiguriert und kann daraufhin be-nutzt werden.

4. AUDIOKONFIGURATION

4.1. Konfiguration mit 4-Draht Intercomsystem

Das WI-Interface ist für den Anschluss an ein 4 Draht-Intercom ausgelegt. Nachfolgend finden Sie zwei Konfigurati-onsbeispiele:

4.1.1. Clearcom 4-Draht Interface

• Verbinden Sie ein Kabel zwischen dem grünen Stecker der Clearcom-Schnittstelle und zwei XLR 3 PTS männlich und weiblich.
Zur Identifizierung beziehen sich die Verkabelung in der Bedienungsanleitung Clearcom IF4W4 Schnittstelle.

• Schließen Sie ein 3-Pin XLR-Kabel (männlich/weiblich) zwischen dem „OUT1“-Anschluss des 4-Draht Systeminterfaces und dem „IN“-An­schluss des Vokkero Guardian Wireless Interfaces an.

• Schließen Sie ein 3-Pin XLR-Kabel (männlich/weiblich) zwischen dem „IN1“-Anschluss des 4-Draht Systeminterfaces und dem „OUT“-An­schluss des Vokkero Guardian Wireless Interfaces an.

• Schließen Sie das Netzkabel des Vokkero Guardian Wireless Interfaces an eine Steckdose an.

4.2. Konfiguration mit 2-Draht Intercomsystem

Der Betrieb des WI-Interfaces mit einem 2-Draht Intercomsystems erfordert die Verwendung eines 2-Draht / 4-Draht Audiowandlers.

Es wurden mehrere Gerätetests durchgeführt, in deren Ergebnis wir die Benutzung dieses Artikels empfehlen:
ALTAIR ALT4W2-200 mit einen „Y“-Kabel vom Typ CANFORD YL908

Es wird ebenfalls empfohlen, eine Antennenverlegung (Versatz) mittels eines HF-Kabels vorzunehmen. Es stehen verschiedene HF-Kabellängen
oder Versatzkits auf Anfrage bei unserer Vertriebsabteilung zur Verfügung.

Die nachstehende Liste der einzelnen 2 Draht Intercomartikel ist nicht abschließend, und die angegebenen Einstellun-gen für die 2-Draht /
4-Draht-Wandler und das Guardian WI-Interface sind als unverbindliche Richtwerte zu betrachten.
