Troubleshooting Guide for A1260 Headrest Monitors
1. No Picture:
(1) Verify that the Red and Yellow cables that plug into the AV Box cables are
seated properly.
(2) After you have done step (1) if you can see the Menu but there is no image.
Verify that each monitor is properly setup. Hold down the Menu button for
10 seconds until you see the sub menu. Example: Drivers monitor should be
setup as IR channel A and DVD Mode should be Drivers Dual. Passengers
monitor should be setup as IR channel B and DVD Mode should be
Passengers Dual.
(3) Verify the monitor’s source is set to the proper video input mode. Example:
Drivers DVD, Passengers DVD, EXT Aux, Front Aux.

button until you see FM Source. Make sure you set FM Source to the proper
source you want to hear. After the correct source has been selected push the
Menu button one more time to get to the FM Channel. Choose a channel
and tune your FM radio to the same channel. If the sound has a lot of static
then change the FM channel. Make sure if you change the channel to change
the Radio channel as well.

3. Remote IR Sensor Inoperative:
(1) Verify that the batteries in the remote control are installed correctly and that they
are in good condition.
(2) Verify that the remote sensor’s eye is not obstructed.
4. No Sound in Left or Right headphones:
(1) Verify the monitors IR’s are set up properly. Refer to section 2. (2) For proper
instructions.
(2) Verify that the headphone is switched to the proper channel. Example: IR Channel A
for Driver side and IR Channel B for Passengers side.
(3) Test the other headphone. If the other headphone works properly replace the
batteries in the bad headphone. After replacing batteries if the headphones still do
not work replace the headphones with new ones.
5. No Power:

(1) Verify that the Red and Yellow wires both have the proper voltage.
(2) Verify you have a good chassis ground.
(3) Check the AV box diagram and see if the wires correspond to the power connector’s
wires.
(4) Verify that the Red and Yellow cables that plug into the AV Box cables are
seated properly.
(1) After you have gone through the check list and were not able to fix your problem.
