Installation Instructions and User Manual

1. General

The RFID tag is used for locating persons and assets in a defined area, which is covered by a
network of RFID readers (FCC ID: 2AA2YREADER101).
It can be also used as a gateway between a network of readers and a host computer.

2. Installation Instructions

2.1. Using the Device as a Tag

The device may be used by a person (for example by using a special pocket or just by putting the
tag into a badge holder). The device may be installed on physical items, such as computers,
mechanical machines or any other asset. In that case, the device may be installed by fixing it to
the asset by a glue or by holding it with a holder of any other type.

2.2. Using the Device as a Gateway

When using the tag as a gateway it should be connected to a computer using a simple USB to
Mini-USB standard cable.

3. Operation Instructions

3.1. Activating the Device

Once installed, the device should be activated by pushing the led on the side of the device 3
consecutive times. The device should flash red 3 times and then start blinking in red.

3.2. Verifying Connectivity for Tag Mode

If there is a reader device in the area, the device should start blinking in green after a while. If
there is not reader present at the proximity of the device it will blink red.

3.3. Turning the Device Off

The device is turned off by pressing the led on the side of the device 3 consecutive times. The
device will flash green 3 times and then will turn off.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits
are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in
a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate
radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to
radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the
equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the

a) Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
b) Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
c) Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician.

4. Instructions concerning human exposure to radio frequency
electromagnetic fields

To comply with FCC Section 1.1310 for human exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic
fields, implement the following instruction:
A distance of at least 1cm between the equipment and all persons should be maintained during
the operation of the equipment.
