Important Notes for Flash Photography and Maintenance
1. After taking a picture, wait for at least 4-5 seconds for the flash to be fully charged before taking the next shot even though the ready light is on. This will help prolong the lifespan of the flash tube and also to attain the full charging capacity of the flash capacitor for precise flash photography.
2. For precise flash output, it is best to wait until an intermittent humming sound is heard before pushing the shutter button.
3. Maintain at least 2m between your flash and the subject you are photographing.
4. Always set the flash zoom head position so that it corresponds to the zoom position of your camera’s lens.
5. In the event that the flash exposure is incorrect (over or under exposed or if the green auto check light does not light up), you may take either one or more of the corrective actions: (1) move closer to the object (2) re-adjust your bounce angle (3) adjust flash zoom head (4) increase ISO* setting.
*Note: In digital photography, the ISO number notes how sensitive the image sensor is to the amount of light present. The higher the ISO number, the more sensitive the image sensor is to light and therefore the possibility to take pictures in low light situations increases.
