INTRODUCTION
Dear Customer!
Congratulations on making your purchase. We hope you enjoy using your new projection screen.
In order to make each viewing a unique video-cinema experience, we have provided this user manual containing detailed information about installing and operating your new projection screen.
Be sure to read through all the information in this manual before using and/or attempting to install the equipment.
Please note that your warranty will become void in the event that the equipment is handled, installed, or operated incorrectly.
The contents of this user manual will guide you through the proper handling, installing, and operating of your new Vivid projection screen.

INSTALLATION
General Information
There are 3 ways to install you Vivid screen.
• Wall Mount
• Ceiling Mount
• Ceiling Hang
Select the type of installation that is best for you.
NOTE: The floating mounting brackets can be installed at various points for your
convenience. However, it is
recommended that you install them closer to the endcap to reduce vibration and noise.
Wall & Ceiling Mount
1. According to the surface of installation, choose the appropriate screws needed for mounting (regular screws for wood surfaces, tapping screws for concrete surfaces)
2. Mount the brackets onto the surface, ensuring it is level
TIP: Draw yourself an erasable level line when mounting the brackets as shown in figure 1.

Wall & Ceiling Mount
3. Simply use the screws as shown in figure 2 & 3 for wood wall and ceiling installations. Use the provided anchors as shown in figure 4 & 5 for drywall and concrete wall and ceiling applications.
4. Loosen the locking screw to lower the locking piece as shown in figure 6 & 7 to prepare the floating mounting brackets before attaching the screen.
5. Attach the screen to the mounting brackets as shown in figure 8 & 9.

Ceiling Hang
1. Install 2 hooks (not provided) on the ceiling as shown in figure 10.
2. Use the installation screws to secure the hang brackets into the mounting brackets as shown in figure 11.
3. Loosen the locking screw to lower the locking piece as shown in figure 12 & 13.
4. Attach the screen to the mounting brackets as shown in figure 14 & 15.
5. Make sure the screen is securely attached to the
brackets. Hang screen as
shown in figure 16.

Manual Control
Use the manual control switch to operate the standard motion screen. (See figure 18)
Simply click the button next to the power cord to make your screen go down. Click again to stop.
Click once again to make the screen go up. Click again to stop.
NOTE: The manual control button cycle is as follows: Down-Stop-Up-Stop-Down

Automatic Trigger Control
Control your screen using the automatic 12v trigger with your projector.
Use the 12v trigger line to connect the 12v output to the trigger jack, labeled TRIG on the end cap of your screen. (See figure 19)
When the projector is powered on, your screen will automatically go down. When the projector is powered off, your screen will automatically go up.
A wireless option is available. If purchased, connect the wireless 12v trigger to your projector once paired with the wireless RF to IR converter.

External Control
Use an external device such as a computer for centralized control of your standard motion screen.
Connect one end of your data cable to the screens output jack and the other end to your control device. (See figure 20)
Use your control device to put the screen up and down.

IR Remote Control
Control your motion series screen with the provided IR remote.
The screen has a built-in IR sensor that will work if the remote’s IR signal is not blocked. (See figure 21)
If your installation environment leaves the built-in IR sensor blocked, simply use the external IR receiver that is provided. (See figure 21)
Be sure the external IR receiver is positioned so that the IR signal being sent from the remote can reach it without interference.

1. To raise screen press UP.

4. To raise the screen little at your desired position press MICRO-UP.
5. To lower the screen little at your desired position press MICRO-DOWN.
Caution:
1. The shortest distance between receiver and controller is 0.5 meter.
2. Controller will work within 30 degrees horizontally from the center of the receiver point within 8 meters of the screen.
3. The controller will not work if the signal is covered by something.
4. Keep the controller away from high temperatures and humid situations.
5. If the signal is weak, try changing the battery.
6. Please take the battery during long periods of inactivity.
7. Use the same battery type as originally supplied.

MAINTENANCE & SAFETY
Motorized Screen Usage
1. Make sure there is no dust or dirt on the fabric surface before putting the screen up.
2. Motor operation should not exceed 50 seconds of continuous use.

3. The motor will utilize overheat protection in excessive usage situations. User will be forced to wait for the motor to cool down before operation will resume.
4. The motor does not require lube for optimum operation.
5. Motor settings have been optimized. No further adjustment should be needed. Please consult a professional if adjustment is required.

Warnings
» The warranty will only be valid if you follow the
instructions below. Improper use and care may cause serious injury and/or damage.
» Make sure the installation and mounting screws
are securely fastened.
» Make sure the mounting surface is flat and secure.
» Please consult a professional to install your
motorized screen.
» If using IR, ensure that your IR receiver is not
pointed directly at a light.
» Avoid any contact with the screen surface to
prevent scratches, tears, and other damage.
» Do not write or draw on the surface.
» Clean the screen with a soft cloth and lukewarm
water. Do not use any detergent or cleaning products.
» Put the screen up after every use.
» Do not pull on the sides or fold the screen.
» Do not take apart and replace unknown parts.
Ignoring the safety warnings may lead to injuries and/or damage

Consult a professional if your screen is in need of repairs or maintenance

Important Information
» Read and understand all instructions before installing and using the
projection screen.
» Always connect this projection screen to a grounded outlet. The power
outlet should be located near the screen and shall be easily accessible.
» This equipment must be supplied from a power system providing a
PROTECTIVE EARTH connection and having a neutral connection, which can be reliably identied.
» Always ensure that the unit is properly earthed and power connections
correctly made.
» To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble this projection
screen, but take it to a qualied serviceman when service or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly can result in electric shock when used.
» Close supervision is necessary when projection screen is in use by or
near children. Do not leave screen unattended while is use.
» Installer must ensure that the mounting structures and fasteners must
be of adequate strength to securely support the screen so that vibrations or even abusive pulling on the screen surface will not cause the housing to work loose or fall.
» Do not operate screen with a damaged cord or if the screen has been
dropped or damaged until it has been examined and repaired by a qualied serviceman.
» Do not place or attach anything to metal casing or viewing surface of
the screen.
» Position cord so that it will not be tripped over, pulled or in contact
with hot surfaces.
» Do not plug the cord in with wet hands; electric shock could occur. » Save these instructions.
