SAFETY HINTS
• The appliance may only be operated on an electricity supply which
corresponds to the voltage and type of current specified on the housing (rating
plate).
• WARNI NG! Do not use this
appliance near water in bath tubs,
basins or other vessels.
• When the hairdryer is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the
proximity of water presents a hazard even when the hairdryer is switched off.
• For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD)
with rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the
electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Please consult your local electrician.
• If, however, the appliance should fall into water, pull the power plug out of the
power socket immediately!
- Never place your hand in the water!
- Have your appliance checked by a qualified electrician before using it
again.
• Do not direct aerosols or water sprays into your appliance!
• Ensure that your appliance does not get wet (water splashing, etc.) and do not
use it with wet hands. If you put your appliance down whilst drying your hair,
always switch it off as a precaution.
• The air outlet grille will inevitably become hot during use.
• Do not allow the power cord to come into contact with the air outlet during use.
• When drying your hair in rollers, do not allow any clips, hairpins, etc. to project
more than 10 mm (finger width) so as to ensure that they can not come into
contact with the live parts inside the appliance.
• The appliance is not intended for use by children or other persons without
assistance or supervision if their physical, sensory or mental capabilities
prevent them from using it safely. Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
• The air inlet and outlet openings should never be obstructed.
• If, however, the airflow is inadvertetly obstructed during use, the built-in
thermal safety cutout will automatically switch off the appliance.
• The HAIRDRYER will switch on again automatically after cooling down for a
few minutes.
• Always unplug your appliance after use and before cleaning it!
• The safety grill fitted in the air inlet opening prevents hair from being drawn in.
• If the grill becomes clogged, it should be cleaned (e.g. with vacuum cleaner or
brush), as otherwise the airflow will be obstructed to such an extent that the
thermal cutout will operate.
• Keep your hair away from the immediate vicinity of the air inlet opening.
• Please check the power supply cord for damage form time to time! If the power
supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
• Repairs to electrical appliance should only be performed be a qualified
electrician. Improper repairs may place the user at serious risk.
USER INSTRUCTIONS
The hair dryer has 2 heat/speed settings to enable quick and effective drying and
styling.
0 = OFF
1 = Moderate temperature and speed for more
controlled drying and styling .
2 = High temperature and speed for quick drying all
the excess moisture off your hairs.
DETACHABLE AIR CONCENTRATOR
Concentrate airflow for spot drying or styling smaller section of hair.
CAUTION: The concentrator will inevitably become hot during use.
DUAL VOLTAGE SELECTOR
Check the position of the voltage selector switch before use (remove mains plug
and use a coin to move the switch to the correct position) i.e. Set to 120V for
voltages ranging from 100-120V. Set to “230V” or “240V” for voltages ranging
from 220-240V.
CLEANING AND CARE
• Always disconnect the hair dryer before cleaning.
• Never immerse the hair dryer in water.
• It is sufficient to wipe the exterior over with a damp cloth and then wipe dry.
• A soft dry brush may be used to remove dust and hairs from the air inlet grille, to
ensure proper airflow at all times.
