HAIRDRYER VT-2299 W The unit is intended for hair drying, curling and styl­ing as well as for making hairstyles of various com­plexity levels.
Tourmaline Ionic technology
When heated up, the innovative Tourmaline Ionic grid coating emits negative ions, which lock hair scales, reduce static charge and make your hair smooth like silk.

ATTENTION!
•
Do not use the unit near containers filled with water (such as bath, swimming pool etc.)
•
When using the hairdryer in a bathroom, discon­nect it from the mains immediately after usage by pulling the plug out of the socket, as water closeness is dangerous even if unit is switched off;
•
For additional protection you can install a resid­ual current device with nominal operation cur­rent not exceeding 30 mA into the mains of the bathroom; contact a specialist for installation.
SAFETY MEASURES
Read this instruction manual carefully before using the unit and keep it for the whole operation period. Use the unit for intended purposes only, as speci­fied in this manual. Mishandling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to his/her prop­erty.
•
Before switching hairdryer on, make sure that your home mains voltage corresponds to unit operating voltage.
•
To avoid fire, do not use adapters for connecting the unit to the mains.
•
Use the unit for intended purposes only, use only the attachments supplied with the unit.
•
Never leave the operating unit unattended.
•
Do not switch the unit on in places where aero­sols are sprayed or highly inflammable liquids are used.
•
Always unplug the unit immediately after usage and before cleaning.
•
When unplugging the unit, pull the plug but not cord.
•
Do not touch the hairdryer body or power plug with wet hands.
•
Do not place and do not keep the unit in places, where it can fall into a bath or a sink filled with water, do not immerse the unit into water or other liquids.

Do not use the unit while taking a bath.

If the unit is dropped into water, unplug it imme­diately, only after that take it out of water.
•

This unit is not intended for usage by people with physical, neural and mental disorders or with insufficient experience or knowledge. Such persons may use this unit only if they are under supervision of a person who is responsible for their safety and if they are given all the neces­sary and understandable instructions concern­ing the safe usage of the unit and information about danger that can be caused by its improper usage.

Do not use the unit when you are drowsy.
•
Take the operating unit by its handle only.
•
Do not use the unit to style wet hair or synthetic wigs.
•
Do not direct hot air into your eyes or other heat­sensitive parts of your body.
•
Avoid contact of heated surfaces with your face, neck and other parts of your body.
•
The attachments get hot during operation, allow them to cool down before removal.
•
Never drop the unit or insert any objects into any openings of its body.
•
Never block the air inlets of the hairdryer, do not place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air inlets may be blocked. Keep the air inlets free of lint, dust, hair etc.

Avoid getting of hair into the air inlet grid during operation of the unit.
•
It is recommended to unwind the power cord to its full length while using the unit.
•
The power cord should not:

touch hot objects,
–
run over sharp edges,
–
be used as a handle for carrying the unit.
•
Check the power cord and power plug insulation integrity periodically.
•
Let the unit cool down completely before tak­ing it away for storage and never wind the power cord around the unit.
•
Do not attempt to repair the unit. Do not disas­semble the unit by yourself, if any malfunction is detected or after it was dropped, unplug the unit and apply to any authorized service center at the contact addresses given in the warranty certifi­cate and on the website www.vitek.ru.
•
To avoid damages, transport the unit in the origi­nal package only.
•
Keep the unit in a dry cool place out of reach of children and disabled persons.
THE UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY, ITS COMMERCIAL USAGE AND USAGE IN PRODUCTION AREAS AND WORK SPACES IS PROHIBITED.
Using the hairdryer
After unit transportation or storage under cold (winter) conditions, it is necessary to keep it for at least 3 hours at room temperature before switching on.
•
Before switching the unit on, make sure that your home mains voltage corresponds to the unit voltage.
•
Unwind the power cord completely.
•
Insert the power plug into the mains socket.
•
Use the air supply speed switch (6) to set the required speed, the operation indicator (2) will light up: «0» – the hairdryer is off
– low speed;
– high speed.
•
Set the required air flow temperature using the switch (5):
– low heating
– medium heating
– maximum heating.
Note: During the first operation some foreign smell and a small amount of smoke from the heating element is possible, this is normal.
Hair care
To get the best results, wash your hair with sham­poo (before drying and styling), dry it with a towel to remove excessive moisture and comb your hair.
Quick drying
Set the switch (5) to maximal heating position (position
), select the required air supply speed using the switch (6) and dry your hair. Shake off excessive moisture from the hair with your hand or a comb and constantly move the hairdryer above your hair.
Straightening
Set the switch (5) to the maximal heating posi­tion (position
), select the required air supply speed using the switch (6) and preliminarily dry the hair. When the hair is almost dry, set the nozzle (1), reduce the heating degree with the switch (5) and reduce the air flow speed with the switch (6). Divide your hair into locks and layers. Start straightening from the lower layers. Using a plain or a round comb, brush the hair downwards and simultaneously direct hot air from the nozzle at your hair. This way, slowly straighten each lock from root to end. After you finish straightening the locks of the lower hair layer, start straightening the locks of the middle layer and finish with the locks of the upper hair layer.
Natural wavy hair structure
Set the switch (5) to the low heating position (position setting the switch (6) to the position
), select the low air supply speed by
, grip locks between fingers, turn them in the direction of natural curling and dry them, directing air between fingers. When the required effect is achieved, press the cool shot button (4)
and fix each lock.
Styling
Set the switches (5, 6) to the low heating/speed position and set the nozzle (1) for directed air flow. Divide your hair into locks and create a required hair style by means of a round hair-brush. During hair styling direct the air flow straight onto your hair in the desired direction. If necessary, direct the air flow at each lock for 2-5 seconds to fix hair. Styling time is determined individually according to hair type.

Cool shot
This model has a cool shot button for fixing your hair. Press and hold down the cool shot button (4)
– it will let you fix the hairstyle.

Overheating protection
This hairdryer has overheating protection that switches the unit off if the outgoing air is too hot. If the hairdryer is switched off during operation, switch it off with the switch (6) by setting it to the position «0», unplug the hairdryer, make sure that the air inlets and outlets are unblocked and let the hairdryer cool down for 5-10 minutes. After that you can switch it on again. Do not block the air inlets during unit operation and avoid getting of hair into its air inlet.
Maintenance and care
•
Set the switch (6) to the position «0» – the oper­ation indicator (2) will go out – and unplug the hairdryer.
•
You can clean the hairdryer body with a wet cloth. Then it is necessary to wipe it dry.
•
Grip the ledge on the air inlet grid (3), turn it counterclockwise until it clicks and remove the grid.
•
Clean the grid (3) with a brush, install the grid back to its place matching the ledges on the grid (3) with the grooves on the hairdryer body and turn the grid clockwise until fixing.
•
Never immerse the unit into water or other liq­uids.
•
Do not use abrasives and solvents to clean the unit.
Storage
•
Always unplug the hairdryer if it is not being used.
•
Never wind the cord around the hairdryer, as it can damage the cord. Handle the power cord with care, do not pull, twist or stretch it especially near the plug or at junction point. Straighten the cord periodically if it gets twisted during haird­ryer operation.
•
For easy storing there is a hanging loop (7), you can store the unit by means of this loop provided that no water gets on the unit in this position.
•
Let the unit cool down after using it and keep it in a dry cool place out of the reach of children and disabled persons.
