MCT-212
PowerCode Wrist/Pendant Transmitters
1. INTRODUCTION
Operating power is obtained from an internal 3-volt Lithium battery.
All MCT-212 are supplied with a wrist band and neck strap. They can be worn on the wrist or around the neck.
The LED (see Fig. 1) lights during a transmission to indicate a good battery. If the LED flashes during a transmission, this means that the battery voltage is low and since the transmitter is hermetically sealed the transmitter should be replaced by a new transmitter. Anytime the MCT-212 is pressed when the battery is low, a trouble signal is automatically sent to the compatible wireless receivers of the PowerMax family.
2. SPECIFICATIONS

The transmitter case is waterproof, hermetically sealed (no screws) and therefore disposable. Do not attempt to open the transmitter case or replace the battery; such action will void the warranty.

3.1 Enrolling
For proper function of the transmitter, its ID must be enrolled into the compatible wireless receiver of the PowerMax family.
"Teach" the target receiver the ID code of the tested transmitter, as instructed in the target receiver's installation manual.
3.2 Testing
A. Stand 3 m (10 ft) away from a target receiver and operate the
MCT-211 by depressing its transmit pushbutton. Verify that the transmitter LED lights, indicating good battery condition.
Note: The LED will light for 2 seconds even if you press the button for a shorter duration.
B. Verify that the received signal at the compatible PowerMax
system is STRONG or GOOD (see compatible PowerMax system installer guide – DIAGNOSTIC TEST).
C. Operate the transmitter from various locations within the area
covered by the target receiver to determine "dead" locations, where transmission is blocked by walls and large objects, or affected by structural materials.
Note: If dead/marginal zones are a problem, relocating the
receiver may improve the performance.
4. PRODUCT LIMITATIONS
Our wireless systems are very reliable and are tested to high standards. However, due to their low transmitting power (required by FCC, DTI and other regulatory authorities) there are some limitations to be considered: A. Receivers may be blocked by radio signals occurring on or near
their operating frequencies, regardless of the code selected.
D-302054 1
B. A receiver can only respond to one transmitted signal at a
time.
C. Wireless equipment should be tested regularly (at least once a
week) to determine if there are sources of interference and to protect against faults.
