Description

The CL-80 is a stand-alone digital keypad for access control applications.
This unit is weather-resistant (IP54) for outdoor / indoor use. It activates
a built-in, high-powered relay and operates from a 12/24 V AC or DC power
supply.
The CL-80 permits up to 56 individual access codes. Authorized users can
be assigned specific codes for use in access control applications such as
electrical switching and arming/disarming alarm systems. Unauthorized
entry is prevented by a penalty timer that locks the keypad for 30 seconds
after three consecutive invalid code entries. A special request-to-exit input
is provided, so that the door can be opened from the inside of the protected
area without a code.
In addition to access control, the CL-80 can be integrated with an alarm
system for enhanced security.
The tamper switch output can trigger the alarm system, if an attempt is
made to open or remove the unit from the wall. An ambush digit may be
programmed and entered as a suffix to the code. The panic output can
activate the alarm in case of panic or under duress. By assigning a special
code, an auxiliary output can be used to either arm or disarm the alarm
system or to activate an alarm or any other applicable system.
Data is entered into the EEPROM from the keypad, but programming can
be carried out only by the “master code” holders. Power failures do not
affect stored data.

• An “ambush” digit, if entered after the last user-code digit, sends a
one-second pulse to the panic output port
