Important safety instructions
Electrical components
DANGER
Electric shock due to faulty mains connecting lead.
Touching a faulty mains connecting lead can result in
serious or even fatal injuries.
Do not damage the mains power lead (e.g. by driv-
ing over it, pulling or crushing it).
Regularly check whether the power cord is dam-
aged or shows signs of ageing.
Have the faulty mains connecting lead replaced by
your VIPER service representative or a qualied
electrician prior to using the appliance again.
CAUTION
Damage due to unsuitable mains voltage.
The appliance can be damaged as a result of being
connected to an unsuitable mains voltage.
Ensure that the voltage shown on the rating plate
corresponds to the voltage of the local mains power
supply.
Symbols used to mark instructions
DANGER
Danger that leads directly to serious or irreversible injuries, or even death.
WARNING
Danger that can lead to serious injuries or even death.
CAUTION
Danger that can lead to minor injuries and damage.
The appliance must
• only be used by persons, who have been instructed
in its correct usage and explicitly commissioned with
the task of operating it
• only be operated under supervision
• not be used by children
Do not use any unsafe work techniques.
Switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains
plug in the following situations:
- Prior to cleaning and servicing
- Prior to replacing components
- Prior to changing over the appliance
Besides the operating instructions and the binding accident prevention regulations valid in the country of
use, observe recognised regulations for safety and
proper use.
Purpose and intended use
All automatic cleaning machines are exclusively in-
tended for the wet cleaning of water-resistant oor
coverings in building interiors.
Any use going beyond that is deemed not to be in line
with the intended purpose. The manufacturer does not
accept any liability for any resultant damage; the risk in
such cases is borne by the user only.
The cleaners are suitable for commercial use, e.g. in
hotels, schools, hospitals, etc.
Use for the intended purpose also includes adherence
to the operating, servicing and maintenance instructions prescribed by the manufacturer.
Changes made to the automatic machines by the users themselves rule out the liability of the manufacturer
for any resultant damage.
Floor coverings are to be checked with regard to the
suitability of this cleaning method before the use of the
machine!
Note the surface pressure in the case of point-elastic
oors, e.g. in gymnasiums!
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage to the
machine and the oor covering to be cleaned which is
caused by the use of the wrong brushes and cleaning
agents.
Storage
Store the appliance in a dry place, protected from
frost.
Electrical connection
Connected the appliance via a residual current cir-
cuit breaker.
Arrange the electrical parts (sockets, plugs and
couplings) and lay down the extension lead so that
the protection class is maintained.
Connectors and couplings of power supply cords
and extension leads must be watertight.

Warranty
Our general conditions of business are applicable with
regard to the guarantee.
Unauthorised modications to the appliance, the use of
incorrect brushes in addition to using the appliance in
a way other than for the intended purpose exempt the
manufacturer from any liability for the resulting damage.
Tests and approvals
Electrical tests must be performed in accordance with
the provisions of safety regulations (BGV A3) and to
DIN VDE 0701 Part 1 and Part 3. In accordance with
DIN VDE 0702 these tests must be performed at regu-
lar intervals and after repairs or modications.
Risks
DANGER
Do not wear jewels when working near electrical components.
Do not work under the lifted machine without supporting it with safety stands.
Do not operate the machine near toxic, dangerous,
ammable and/or explosive powders, liquids or vapours.
WARNING
If the machine is not working as it should, has been
damaged, left outdoors or dropped into water, return it
to the Service Center.
To reduce the risk of re, electric shock, or injury, do
not leave the machine unattended when it is plugged
in.
Always protect the machine against the sun, rain and
bad weather, both under operation and inactivity condition. Store the machine indoors.
Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is
necessary when used near children.
Take all necessary precautions to prevent hair, jewels
and loose clothes from being caught by the machine
moving parts.
Do not leave the machine unattended without being
sure that it cannot move independently.
Do not use the machine in particularly dusty areas.
While using this machine, take care not to cause dam-
age to people or objects.
Do not bump into shelves or scaffoldings, especially
where there is a risk of falling objects.
Do not put any can containing uids on the machine.
The machine working temperature must be between
0°C and +40°C.
The machine storage temperature must be between
0°C and +40°C.
The humidity must be between 30% and 95%.
Do not use the machine as a means of transport.
Do not use the machine on slopes with an inclination
higher than 2%.
Do not allow the brushes to operate while the machine
is stationary to avoid damaging the oor.
In case of re, use a powder re extinguisher, not a
water one.
Do not tamper with the machine safety guards and
follow the ordinary maintenance instructions scrupulously.
Do not allow any object to enter into the openings. Do
not use the machine if the openings are clogged. Always keep the openings free from dust, hairs and any
other foreign material which could reduce the air ow.
Do not remove or modify the plates afxed to the ma-
chine.
If the machine is used according to the instructions, the
vibrations are not dangerous. The machine vibration
level is less than 2.5 m/s²:
This machine cannot be used on roads or public
streets.
Pay attention during machine transportation when temperature is below freezing point. The water in the recovery tank or in the hoses could freeze and seriously
damage the machine.
In case of machine malfunctions, ensure that these are
not due to lack of maintenance. If necessary, request
assistance from the authorised personnel or from an
authorised Service Center.
To ensure machine proper and safe operation, the
scheduled maintenance shown in the relevant chapter
of this Manual, must be performed by the authorised
personnel or by an authorised Service Center.
Carefully read all the instructions before performing
any maintenance/repair procedure.
Do not wash the machine with direct or pressurised
water jets, or with corrosive substances.
Spare parts and accessories
CAUTION
Spare parts and accessories.

The use of non-genuine spare parts and accessories
can impair the safety of the appliance.
Only use spare parts and accessories from VIPER.
Use only the brushes supplied with the vacuum
cleaner or specied in the operating manual.
Recycling the cleaner
Have the machine scrapped by a qualied scrapper.
Before scrapping the machine, remove and separate
the following materials, which must be disposed of
properly according to the Law in force:
• Brushes/pads
• Plastic hoses and components
• Electrical and electronic components
As specied in European Directive
2002/96/EC on old electrical and electronic
appliances, used electrical goods must be
collected separately and recycled ecologically. Contact your local authorities or your
nearest dealer for further information.

Wichtige Sicherheitshinweise
Kennzeichnung der Sicherheitshinweise
GEFAHR
Gefahr, die unmittelbar zu schweren und irreversiblen
Verletzungen oder zum Tod führt.
WARNUNG
Gefahr, die zu schweren Verletzungen oder zum Tod
führen kann.
VORSICHT
Gefahr, die zu leichten Verletzungen oder Sachschäden führen kann.
Das Gerät darf
• nur von Personen benutzt werden, die in der Handhabung unterwiesen und ausdrücklich mit der Bedienung beauftragt sind
• nur unter Aufsicht betrieben werden
• nicht von Kindern benutzt werden
Jede sicherheitsbedenkliche Arbeitsweise unterlas-
sen.
In folgenden Situationen Gerät abschalten und
Netzstecker ziehen:
- vor dem Reinigen und Warten des Gerätes
- vor dem Auswechseln von Teilen
- vor dem Umrüsten des Gerätes
Das Betreiben des Gerätes unterliegt den geltenden
nationalen Bestimmungen. Neben der Betriebsanleitung und den im Verwenderland geltenden verbindlichen Regelungen zur Unfallverhütung sind auch die
anerkannten fachtechnischen Regeln für sicherheitsund fachgerechtes Arbeiten zu beachten.
Verwendungszweck des Gerätes
Alle Reinigungsautomaten sind ausschließlich bestimmt zur Nassreinigung von wasserfesten Fußbodenbelägen im Innenbereich von Gebäuden.
Jeder darüber hinausgehende Gebrauch gilt als nicht
bestimmungsgemäß. Für hieraus resultierende Schäden haftet der Hersteller nicht; das Risiko hierfür trägt
allein der Benutzer.
Die Maschinen sind für den gewerblichen Einsatz, z.B.
in Hotels, Schulen, Krankenhäusern etc. geeignet.
Zur bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung gehört auch
die Einhaltung der vom Hersteller vorgeschriebenen
Betriebs-, Wartungs- und Instandhaltungsbedingungen.
Eigenmächtige Veränderungen an der Maschine
schließen eine Haftung des Herstellers für daraus resultierende Schäden aus.
Bodenbeläge sind vor Einsatz der Maschine auf Eignung dieses Reinigungsverfahrens zu prüfen!
Auf Flächenpressung bei punktelastischen Böden, z.B.
in Turnhallen achten!
Für Schäden am Gerät und dem zu reinigenden Bodenbelag, die durch den Einsatz falscher Bürsten und
Reinigungsmittel entstehen haftet der Hersteller nicht.
Lagerung
Gerät trocken und frostgeschützt lagern.
Elektrischer Anschluss
Gerät über einen Fehlerstromschutzschalter an-
schließen.
Anordnung der stromführenden Teile (Steckdosen,
Stecker und Kupplungen) und die Verlegung der
Verlängerungsleitung so wählen, dass die Schutzklasse erhalten bleibt.
Stecker und Kupplungen von Netzanschlussleitun-
gen müssen wasserdicht sein.
Produkthaftung
Für Garantie und Gewährleistung gelten unsere allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen.
Eigenmächtige Veränderungen am Gerät, der Einsatz
falscher Zubehörteile sowie nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch schließen eine Haftung des Herstellers
für daraus resultierende Schäden aus.
Regelmäßige Prüfungen
Nach den Vorschriften der Unfallverhütungsvorschrift
(BGV A3) und nach DIN VDE 0701 Teil 1 und Teil 3
müssen elektrotechnische Prüfungen am Gerät durchgeführt werden. Diese Prüfungen sind gemäß DIN

VDE 0702 in regelmäßigen Abständen und nach Instandsetzung oder Änderung des Gerätes erforderlich.

GEFAHR
Stromschlag durch defekte Netzanschlussleitung.
Das Berühren einer defekten Netzanschlussleitung
kann zu schweren oder tödlichen Verletzungen führen.
Netzanschlussleitung nicht beschädigen (z. B.
durch Überfahren, Zerren, Quetschen).
Netzanschlussleitung regelmäßig auf Beschädi-
gungen prüfen (z. B. Rissbildung, Alterung).
Defekte Netzanschlussleitung vor dem weiteren
Gebrauch des Geräts durch den VIPER-Service
oder eine Elektrofachkraft ersetzen lassen.
VORSICHT
Beschädigung durch ungeeignete Netzspannung.
Das Gerät kann beschädigt werden, wenn es an eine
ungeeignete Netzspannung angeschlossen wird.
Prüfen, ob die auf dem Typenschild angegebene
Spannung mit der örtlichen Netzspannung übereinstimmt.
GEFAHR
Beim Arbeiten mit elektrischen Geräten Halsketten und
anderen Schmuck ablegen.
Erst unter der angehobenen Maschine arbeiten, wenn
diese mit Stützen gesichert ist.
Maschine nicht in Räumen betreiben, in denen sich
schädliche, gefährliche, brennbare und/oder explosive
Pulver, Flüssigkeiten oder Dämpfe benden.
WARNUNG
Wenn die Maschine nicht richtig funktioniert, beschädigt ist, im Freien abgestellt wurde oder ins Wasser
gefallen ist, muss diese vom Kundendienst instand
gesetzt werden.
Um die Gefahr von Bränden, Stromschlag oder Verletzungen zu vermeiden, darf die Maschine nicht in
eingeschaltetem Zustand verlassen werden. Die Maschine immer vor Sonne, Regen und anderen Witte-
rungseinüssen schützen, sowohl bei Bedienung als
auch beim Stillstand. Die Maschine in einem Trockenen, frostgeschützten Raum abstellen.
Die Maschine nicht als Spielzeug verwenden. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit ist erforderlich, wenn sie in der
Nähe von Kindern verwendet wird.
Entsprechende Vorsichtsmaßnahmen treffen, damit
Haare, Schmuck oder Kleidungsstücke nicht in bewegliche Maschinenteile geraten.
Die Maschine nicht unbeaufsichtigt lassen wenn die
Gefahr besteht, dass diese sich selbständig bewegen
kann.
Die Maschine nicht in extrem staubigen Räumen verwenden.
Personen und Gegenstände während der Arbeit nicht
gefährden.
Nicht gegen Regale und Gerüste fahren, insbesondere, wenn Gefahr durch herunterfallende Gegenstände
besteht.
Keine Behälter mit Flüssigkeiten auf der Maschine abstellen.
Die Umgebungstemperatur der Maschine soll zwischen 0°C und +40°C liegen.
Die Temperatur zur Lagerung der Maschine muss stets
zwischen 0°C und +40°C liegen.
Die Luftfeuchtigkeit soll zwischen 30% und 95% liegen.
Die Maschine nicht als Transportmittel verwenden.
Die Maschine nicht auf Flächen mit mehr als 2 % Ge-
fälle benutzen.
Bei stehender Maschine die Bürsten abschalten, um
Schäden am Bodenbelag zu vermeiden.
Im Brandfall einen Pulverlöscher benutzen. Brand
nicht mit Wasser löschen.
Die Schutzvorrichtungen der Maschine nicht beschädi-
gen und alle vorgesehenen Hinweise für die ordnungsgemäße Wartung sorgfältig befolgen.
Keine Gegenstände in die Maschine gelangen lassen.
Die Maschine nicht benutzen wenn Belüftungsöffnungen verstopft sind. Die Öffnungen frei von Staub, Fasern, Haaren und allen anderen Fremdkörpern halten,
die den Luftstrom verringern können.
Schilder an der Maschine nicht entfernen oder ändern.
Bei bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung stellt die von
der Maschine ausgehende Vibration keine Gefahr für
das Bedienungspersonal dar. Die Vibrationsemission
der Maschine liegt unter 2,5 m/s².
Diese Maschine ist nicht zur Benutzung auf Straßen
oder öffentlichen Wegen zugelassen.
Maschine vor dem Transport bei Temperaturen um
den Gefrierpunkt frostsicher machen. Das Wasser im
Schmutzwassertank oder in den Schläuchen könnte
gefrieren und die Maschine schwer beschädigen.
Im Falle von Funktionsstörungen prüfen, ob diese
durch unzureichende Wartung verursacht wurden.
Wenn notwendig das Wartungspersonal oder den autorisierten Kundendienst benachrichtigen.
