4. Circuit Description
A/D converter
This brick convert is the 110-220AC input voltage to 12V output for inverter use and 5V for panel ,
system and audio use and 3.3V,1.2V for controller use.
INVERTER
In order to drive the CCFLs embedded in the panel module, there is a half bridge inverter to convert by
the controller.
The input 12V up to hundreds of AC voltage output.
The inverter is formed by symmetric in order to drive the separate lamp modules.
The input stage consists of a PWM controller, half bridge inverter, and switching MOSFET to convert
DC input into AC output.
The output stage consists of a tuning capacitor, coupling capacitor, transformer, push-pull MOSFET
pair to boost AC output up to hundreds of voltage.
And one resister is serial to lamp for output voltage feedback.
There are two signal to control the inverter which come from system.
Logic “high” level which send to I901 is turn on the inverter.
BRI signal control brightness by DC level which was integral from PWM signal.
I206 Scaler MSD2232L
The MSD2232L is a highly integrated SOC for LCD/PDP DTV applications with resolutions up to
SXGA/WXGA+.
It is configured with an integrated triple-ADC/PLL,a multi-standard TV video and audio decoder, a
DTV video and audio decoder, a video de-interlacer, a scaling engine, the MStarACE-3 color engine, a
graphics engine, an 8-bit MCU and a built-in output panel interface. The built-in DTV decoder
including transport streamde-multiplexer and MPEG-2 AV decoder are designed to support ATSC
HD/SDTV program while handling ATSC CC and EPG. For analog TV,the MSD1226L receives
NTSC/PAL/SECAM CVBS/S-Video and component video signals from various analog graphic &

I201 V58C2256(804/404/164)SC DDRAM
The V58C2256(804/404/164)SC is a four bank DDR DRAM organized as 4 banks x 8Mbit x 8 (804), 4
banks x 4Mbit x 16 (164), or 4 banks x 16Mbit x 4 (404). The V58C2256(804/404/164)SC achieves
high speed data transfer rates by employing a chip architecture that prefetches multiple bits an d then
synchronizes the output data to a system clock.
All of the control, address, circuits are synchronized with the positive edge of an externally supplied
clock. I/O transactions are occurring on both edges of DQS.
Operating the four memory banks in an interleaved fashion allows random access operation to occur at
a higher rate than is possible with standard DRAMs.
A sequential and gapless data rate is possible depending on burst length, CAS latency and speed grade
of the device.
I501 Tuner
The Antenna receive the TV signal and modulate it to the CVBS signal and ATSC signal which can be
recognized By the decoder and MTS audio signal output to the sound multiplexing decoder portion of
IC MSD2232
I601 AD5265 AUDIO
The AD5265A is a stereo, filter-less class-D audio amplifier with headphone driver. Operating with
5.0V loudspeaker driver supply, it can deliver 2.5W/CH output power into 4 loudspeaker within 10%
THD+N and 120mW/CH output power into 16 headphone within 1% THD+N.
The AD5265A has two volume control modes by setting MODE pin. While MODE pin is set logic
high,AD5265A is in DC volume control mode with 31-step volume gain from -38 dB to +20dB,
adjusted by the DC voltage applied on G0 pin.
Otherwise, AD5265A is the 4-step volume gain mode with +6dB, +12dB, +18dB, and +24dB gain,
selected by setting G0 and G1 pins. The two volume adjustment modes are designed to fit the different
volume control requirements in various applications.
Not only the stereo class-D amplifier, AD5265A also has a fixed gain (-1V/V) stereo class-AB
headphone driver.
The AD5265A packaged as E-TSSOP 24L is a stereo audio amplifier with high efficiency, which
leads to longer battery life, less heat sink requirement, smaller board size and lower system
cost, and suitable for the notebook computer, and portable multimedia devices. With the independent
shut-down control for left or right channel, the AD5265A is more convenient to control the left and
right channels.
I202 MSD809
The MSD809 is a DTV receiver, which contains a digital receiver compatible with ATSC 8-VSB mode
for terrestrial broadcasting and open cable (SCTE DVS-031) which is in compliant with 64-QAM and
256-QAM modes for digital cable appliances.
It achieves extremely high performance employing direct IF sampling architecture, robust
synchronization, and robust channel equalization. It contains a 12-bit A/D converter and a PWM
generator for automatic gain control. A host interface with an I2C bus is also included to control the
behavior of the MSD809.
