1. Wichtige Hinweise
Lesen Sie vor der ersten Benutzung des Produktes bzw. dessen Einbau diese Anleitung komplett
und aufmerksam durch. Bewahren Sie diese Anleitung auf. Sie ist Teil des Produktes.
Das Produkt richtig verwenden
Das Produkt darf ausschließlich dieser Anleitung
gemäß verwendet werden. Dieses Signalmodell
ist bestimmt
– zum Einbau in Modelleisenbahnanlagen,
– zum Anschluss an ein Steuermodul für
Multiplex-Signale (z. B. Viessmann 5229),
– zum Betrieb in trockenen Räumen.
Jeder darüber hinausgehende Gebrauch gilt als
nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Für daraus resultierende Schäden haftet der Hersteller nicht.
2. Einleitung
Signale der Bauart 1969 sind nach wie vor der
Streckenstandard und auf allen Bahnstrecken ab
Epoche III einsetzbar.
Aufgestellt seit 1969 basieren Sie auf den fast
identischen Bauformen 1951 und 1958. Sie sind
die bis heute am häugsten zu ndenden Signaltypen im Streckennetz der ehemaligen Deutschen
Bundesbahn.
Mehr Infos zu allen Arten von Signalen sowie
deren Aufstellung und Steuerung nden Sie im
Viessmann Signalbuch (Artikelnr. 5299).
Das vorliegende Viessmann Signal ist mit der in-
telligenten Multiplextechnik ausgestattet. Dadurch
führen nur maximal vier Kabel mit einem Spezialstecker vom Signal zum Steuermodul für Multiplex-Signale. Das Steuermodul erkennt automatisch, welcher Signaltyp angeschlossen ist und
konguriert sich entsprechend.
Natürlich sind auch die Multiplex-Signale ligran
detailliert und mit einem Metallmast ausgestattet.
Die Steuerleitungen sind in den Mastprolen versteckt, so dass freie Sicht durch den Mast besteht!
Die Signalschirme sind komplett mit wartungsfreien, energiesparenden und langlebigen LEDs
bestückt. Das Rangierfahrtsignal ist vorbildgerecht
mit weißen LEDs ausgestattet.
Der Viessmann-Patentsteckfuß sorgt für einfache
und schnelle Montage von oben.

Using the product for it’s correct
purpose
This product must only be used as required in
this manual. This model of a signal is intended
– for installation in model railroad layouts,
– for connection to a control module for
multiplex-signals (e. g. Viessmann 5229),
– for operation in a dry area.
Using the product for any other purpose is not
approved and is considered incorrect.
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for
any damage resulting from the improper use of
this product.
2. Introduction
Signals of the type 1969 are still standard types
on all lines in operation. They can be used on all
lines from the era III on.
They have been installed from 1969 on and base
on the nearly identical types 1951 and 1958. Till
now they are the most frequently used signal
types on the railway network of the former “Deutsche Bundesbahn”.
This Viessmann signal use the innovative multiplex-technology. Due to that, maximum four cables link the signals and the control module. The
special multiplex-control module 5229 recognizes
automatically which type of signal is connected.
The module congures automatically.
Of cause the multiplex signals are nely detailed
and equipped with a metal mast. The connection
wires are hidden in the proles of the mast, so
that you have a free view through the signal mast!
The signal panels are completely equipped with
maintenance-free, energy-saving and long-lived
LEDs. The shunting signal has prototypical white
LEDs.
The patented Viessmann-socket allows simple
and fast mounting.
3. Signal Aspects
See the following picture to get an overview about
the aspects of the standard daylight signals. Note
that not every signal type can show all aspects.

dass nicht jedes Signal jeden Begriff darstellen
kann. Viele weitere Informationen zu Signalen und

buch, Artikel-Nr. 5299.
4. Mounting
1) Drill a hole with 6 mm diameter
at the mounting place.
2) The signal‘s connection wire with the plug has
to be inserted into the hole rst. After that put
the signal with the patented Viessmann-socket
into that hole.
4. Montage
1. Bohren Sie an der Montagestelle ein Loch mit
6 mm Durchmesser.
2. Führen Sie das Anschlusskabel mit dem
Stecker von oben durch das Montageloch und
stecken Sie dann das Signal mit dem Patentsteckfuß hinein.

5. Connections
Attention:
This signal has to be connected to a control
module for multiplex-signals
(e. g. Viessmann 5229)!
Never cut off the plug! This will immediately
destroy the signal.

5. Anschluss
Achtung:
Schließen Sie dieses Signal ausschließlich
an ein Steuermodul für Multiplex-Signale
(z. B. Viessmann 5229) an!
Ziehen Sie den Stecker niemals am Kabel
heraus, sondern greifen Sie nur am Steckergehäuse an, um das Kabel herauszuziehen!
Stecker nicht abschneiden!
Ansonsten wird das Signal sofort zerstört!
Stecken Sie den Signalstecker in die entsprechende Buchse des Multiplexers.
Achten Sie auf die korrekte Polarität. Die Markierung am Stecker muss mit der Markierung am
Multiplexer übereinstimmen (s. Abb. 2).
Bei verpolt eingesteckten Steckern wird nichts beschädigt. Das Signal wird dann allerdings falsch
erkannt und entsprechend falsch angesteuert.
Ein schnelles, dauerndes Blinken einer oder mehrerer Signal-LEDs deutet auf eine Störung hin.
Bitte prüfen Sie dann, ob ein Kabel abgerissen ist
oder der Stecker verdreht ist.
Tipp:
Zur Verlängerung der vierpoligen Leitung bieten
wir unter der Artikelnummer 5236 ein Verlängerungskabel (1 m) an.
Never use the cable to pull out the plug, but
only take the case of the plug in order to pull
out the plug.
Insert the signal plug only in the corresponding
jack of the multiplexer.
Please, respect the correct polarity. The mark of
the plug has to correspond to the mark of the multiplexer (see Fig. 2).
A connection with wrong polarity can not destroy
the signal. But it will not be recognized correctly
and thus incorrectly controlled.
A quick and constantly ashing of one or several
signal-LEDs indicates a malfunction. Please,
check then if a cable is teared off or if a plug has
been contorted.
Tipp:
We offer an extension lead , order number 5236
(1m) in order to extend the four-terminal-cable.
