1. Wichtige Hinweise
Bitte lesen Sie vor der ersten Anwendung des Produktes bzw. dessen Einbau diese Bedienungsanleitung aufmerksam durch. Bewahren Sie diese auf, sie

1.1 Sicherheitshinweise
Vorsicht:
Verletzungsgefahr!
Für die Montage sind Werkzeuge nötig.
Stromschlaggefahr!
Die Anschlussdrähte niemals in eine Steckdose
einführen! Verwendetes Versorgungsgerät (Transformator, Netzteil) regelmäßig auf Schäden überprüfen. Bei Schäden am Versorgungsgerät dieses
keinesfalls benutzen!
Alle Anschluss- und Montagearbeiten nur bei abgeschalteter Betriebsspannung durchführen!
Ausschließlich nach VDE/EN-gefertigte Modellbahntransformatoren verwenden!
Stromquellen unbedingt so absichern, dass es bei
einem Kurzschluss nicht zum Kabelbrand kommen
kann.
1.2 Das Produkt richtig verwenden
Dieses Produkt ist bestimmt:
- Zum Einbau in Modelleisenbahnanlagen und
Dioramen.
- Zum Anschluss an einen Modellbahntransformator
(z. B. Art.-Nr. 5200) bzw. an einer Modellbahnsteuerung mit zugelassener Betriebsspannung.
- Zum Betrieb in trockenen Räumen.
Jeder darüber hinausgehende Gebrauch gilt als nicht
bestimmungsgemäß. Für daraus resultierende Schäden haftet der Hersteller nicht.
1.1 Safety instructions

Never put the connecting wires into a power socket! Regularly examine the transformer for damage.
In case of any damage, do not use the transformer.
Make sure that the power supply is switched o
when you mount the device and connect the
cables!
Only use VDE/EN tested special model train transformers for the power supply!
The power sources must be protected to prevent
the risk of burning cables.
1.2 Using the product for its correct purpose
This product is intended:
-
For installation in model train layouts and dioramas.
- For connection to an authorized model train transformer (e. g. item-No. 5200) or a digital command
station.
- For operation in dry rooms only.
Using the product for any other purpose is not approved and is considered incorrect. The manufacturer
is not responsible for any damage resulting from the
improper use of this product.

2. Anschluss
Das Viessmann Universal-Relais 1 x 4UM Art.-Nr.
5551 kann für den Bau von verschiedenen Schaltungen verwendet werden. Die 4 Umschaltkontakte
werden durch Spannungsimpulse (Abb. 1) alle gleichzeitig umgeschaltet. Sie sind untereinander elektrisch
getrennt. Die einzelnen Umschaltkontakte können
also verschiedene Aufgaben erfüllen. Es kann zwecks
Funktionskontrolle oder bei Kontaktproblemen von

2. Connection
The universal relay Viessmann item-No. 5551 is use-
ful for dierent circuits. The four contacts are switched
simultaneously by one voltage pulse (g. 1). The
contacts are electrically separated. Each contacts
can be used for dierent functions. If you want to test
the function or in case of any contact problems, the
electronic relay can be also switched externally by the
switch on the top placed in the middle of the box.

Während der Betätigung von Hand sollte keine elektrische Ansteuerung von außen erfolgen, d. h. die
Steuereingänge sollten während der Handbetätigung
stromlos sein.
Wenn das Relais über Reedkontakte angesteuert
werden soll, ist darauf zu achten, dass die Impulszeiten genügend lang sind. Daher sollten längliche,
in Fahrtrichtung montierte Schaltmagnete verwendet
werden. Aufgrund der induktiven Belastung der Reedkontakte sollten diese ausreichend groß sein (ca. 0,5
A oder mehr).
Das Relais besitzt eine echte Endabschaltung mit
Endabschaltungskontakt. Dieser Kontakt kann zur
Stellungsrückmeldung an ein rückmeldefähiges Stellpult (z. B. Viessmann Art.-Nr. 5549) herangezogen
werden.
Make sure that the power supply is o when you
switch the relay manually.
If the relay is controlled by a reed contact you must
be sure that the impulse time must be sucient. Long
magnets in route direction have to be applied. Take
care that the inductive load must be big enough (approx. 0.5 A or more).
The relay has got an end position circuit breaker.
You can use it to get a real feedback with a feedback
switch like the item-No. 5549 from Viessmann.
3. Montage
Befestigen Sie das Relais mit den beiliegenden
Schrauben an einem geeigneten Platz auf oder unter
Ihrer Modelleisenbahnanlage.

Mount the relay with the enclosed screws to an appropriate place on or under your model train layout.
