1.1 Sicherheitshinweise
Vorsicht:
Verletzungsgefahr!
Für die Montage sind Werkzeuge nötig.
Stromschlaggefahr!
Die Anschlussdrähte niemals in eine Steckdose einführen! Verwendetes Versorgungsgerät (Transformator, Netzteil) regelmäßig auf Schäden überprüfen. Bei
Schäden am Versorgungsgerät dieses keinesfalls benutzen!
Alle Anschluss- und Montagearbeiten nur bei abgeschalteter Betriebsspannung durchführen!
Ausschließlich nach VDE/EN-gefertigte Modellbahntransformatoren verwenden!
Stromquellen unbedingt so absichern, dass es bei einem
Kurzschluss nicht zum Kabelbrand kommen kann.
1.2 Das Produkt richtig verwenden
Dieses Produkt ist bestimmt:
- Zum Einbau in Modelleisenbahnanlagen und
Dioramen.
- Zum Anschluss an einen Modellbahntransformator
(z. B. Art.-Nr. 5200) bzw. an einer Modellbahnsteuerung mit zugelassener Betriebsspannung.
- Zum Betrieb in trockenen Räumen.
Jeder darüber hinausgehende Gebrauch gilt als nicht
bestimmungsgemäß. Für daraus resultierende Schäden
haftet der Hersteller nicht.
1.3 Packungsinhalt überprüfen
Kontrollieren Sie den Lieferumfang auf Vollständigkeit:
- Zeitrelais
- 7 braune Stecker
- Grüner Stecker
- Gelber Stecker
- 2 Schrauben
- 2 Potentiometer-Köpfe
- Anleitung

1.1 Safety instructions
1.2 Using the product for its correct purpose
This product is intended:
- For installation in model train layouts and dioramas.
- For connection to an authorized model train
- For operation in dry rooms only.
Using the product for any other purpose is not approved
and is considered incorrect. The manufacturer is not
responsible for any damage resulting from the improper
use of this product.
1.3 Checking the package contents
Check the contents of the package for completeness:
- Time relay
- 7 brown plugs
- Green plug
- Yellow plug
- 2 screws
- 2 potentiometer-heads
- Manual
Caution:
Risk of injury!
For installation tools are required.
Electrical hazard!
Never put the connecting wires into a power socket!
Regularly examine the transformer for damage.
In case of any damage, do not use the transformer.
Make sure that the power supply is switched o when
you mount the device and connect the cables!
Only use VDE/EN tested special model train transformers for the power supply!
The power sources must be protected to prevent the
risk of burning cables.

2. Einleitung
Das Viessmann Zeitrelais Art.-Nr. 5207 verfügt über 2
gleichzeitig schaltende, ausgangsseitige Umschaltkontakte. So kann z. B. eine Lichtsignalsteuerung mit gleichzeitiger Zugbeeinussung realisiert werden. Das Zeitrelais ist für alle zeitgesteuerten Aufgaben einsetzbar, z. B.:
- Einschalten von blinkenden Andreaskreuzen.
- Simulation der Reaktionszeit des Lokomotivführers
beim Umschalten des Signals von Rot auf Grün.
- Zeitverzögertes Auslösen von Eekten.

2. Introduction
The Viessmann time relay item-No. 5207 has 2 simultaneously switching contacts on the output side. E. g.
a colour light signal control with simultaneous automatic
train control is possible. The time relay is designed for
various time control purposes, e. g.:
- Controlling St. Andrew´s crosses.
- To simulate the reaction time of the train driver when
the signal switches from red to green.
- Delayed triggering of eects.

An dem Baustein lässt sich eine Ein- und eine Ausschaltverzögerung jeweils zwischen 0 und 3 Minuten separat
einstellen.

At the time relay you can adjust a switching-on delay
(“Ein”) and a switching-o delay (“Aus”) seperately.
“Verzögerung” on the box means “delay”.
3. Einbau
Befestigen Sie das Zeitrelais mit den beiden beiliegenden
Schrauben in der Nähe des Einsatzortes unterhalb der
Anlagenplatte.
4. Anschluss
4.1 Skaleneinteilung
Die Einteilung bei den beiden Potentiometern für die
Zeiteinstellungen ist nicht linear. Der untere Zeitbereich
(0 – 45 Sekunden) ist stärker gespreizt, sodass dort feinfühliger eingestellt werden kann (Abb. 1).
Das Verstellen der Potentiometer erfolgt mit Hilfe eines
kleinen Schraubendrehers.

4.2 Anschluss als Intervallschalter
Mit diesem Kontakt können beliebige Verbraucher auf der
Modellbahn automatisch in regelmäßigen Zeitabständen
ein- und ausgeschaltet werden, z. B. Tag- und Nachtschaltung bei Leuchten oder Artikel aus der Viessmann
Serie Emotion – bewegte Welt.
Die Einschaltdauer wird über die Einschaltverzögerung
und die Ausschaltdauer über die Ausschaltverzögerung
eingestellt (Abb. 2).

3. Mounting
Mount the time relay with the two included screws near
the place of application below the model plate.
4. Connection
4.1 Scale gradations
The gradation of the two potentiometers for time setting is
not linear. The lower time range (0 – 45 seconds) is more
spreaded, so that you can adjust the time more precisely
in this range (g. 1).
Please use a small screwdriver to adjust the potentiometers.

4.2 Connection as interval switch
With this contact you can switch any device on your lay-
out automatically in periodical time intervals on and o,
e. g. day and night switching of lightings or items of the
Viessmann eMotion series.
The on time is determined by the switching-on delay and
the o time is determined by the switching-o delay
(g. 2).
