Anschluß
Connection
Der richtige Anschluß des Brandflackerns 5021 ist in Bild 1 dargestellt. Die Stromversorgung erfolgt mit Hilfe von Viessmann - Steckern über die beiden oberen Anschlüsse des
Moduls (braun und gelb). Die Glühlampen werden ebenfalls mit Hilfe der beiliegenden
Viessmann - Stecker mit dem Modul verbunden.Hierbei erhält jeweils ein Draht jeder
angeschlossenen Lampe einen grünen Stecker und wird am Modul an den mit schwarzen
Ringen gekennzeichneten Buchsen befestigt. Die zweiten Kabel der Lampen werden alle
miteinander verbunden und gemeinsam mit einem braunen Stecker in die mit einem
schwarzen Punkt markierte Buchse des Moduls eingesteckt.
The correct connection of the electronic fire 5021 is shown at figure 1. The power supply
occurs by assistance of Viessmann -plugs to the upper both connectors of the module
(brown and yellow). One wire of each lamp have to be connected to the module by green
Viessmann - plugs. The other wire you have to connect to the left socket of the module
(marked with a black point). Here you can use the brown plug.

A very pretty construction-set of a burning half-timbered house for sizes H0, N and Z
exists at the building-collection of Vollmer. While the roof framework of the house has
burned down in a large measure, in the lower part of the building the impression of a still
flickering fire can be suggested. In addition to the burning house, a burning factory (H0) is
available from Vollmer. The firm Pola offers a burning revenue-office (H0). The impression of the electronic fire can be improved by using a steam-maker from Seuthe. The constructionsets from Vollmer are already prepared for this use. The scene became exceptionally realistic by using fire-engines, police-cars or ambulances Viessmann is offering a
wide palette of different cars (e.g.: fire-engine LF 16 (Magirus) (2043), Mercedes Benz
fire-engine (2042), VW-estate police-car (2033), Mercedes Benz 180 police-car
(3039),Mercedes ambulance (2040) or VW bus DRK (3036). Get more informations from

Offene Feuerstellen
Ein Beispiel für eine offene Feuerstelle ist ein Lagerfeuer. Hierzu ist an der vorgesehenen
Stelle der Anlagen- bzw. Dioramenplatte ein Loch zu bohren. Dessen Durchmesser ist so
zu wählen, daß sich die gewünschte Anzahl an Lämpchen nebeneinander hineinpressen
lassen. Die Lämpchenkuppen müssen mit der Grundplatte plan abschließen. Wird das
Loch anschließend mit einem Stück glasklarem Plexiglas abgedeckt und werden über
dem abgedeckten Loch kleine, maßstäbliche (Natur-) Äste aufgeschichtet und mit transparentem Alleskleber ausgegossen, so entsteht eine realistisch wirkende Nachbildung
eines Lagerfeuers.
Open fireplaces
One example of an open fireplace is a camp fire. To this a hole have to be bored at the
intended place of the plate. You have to choose the diameter so, that the wished number
of lamps can be pressed in side by side. The lamps have to end plain with the plate. If you
close the hole with a peace of transparent plastic and stack up little scaled twigs, which will
be filled up with transparent adhesive, a realistic copy of a camp fire can be created.

Bei der Beleuchtung eines Ofens mit dem Brandflackern wird eine optimale Lichtstreuung
erziehlt, indem man zerknüllte Haushalts-Aluminiumfolie als Reflektor verwendet.
Stoves
When lighting up a stove with the electronic fire, an optimal light-strewing can be reached
by using crumpled aluminum-foil.
Weitere Tips
Sollte die Leuchtkraft der Glühlampen für Ihren persönlichen Geschmack zu stark sein,
so läßt sie sich durch Verminderung der Betriebsspannung des Moduls reduzieren. Hierzu kann z.B. der Fahrspannungsausgang eines Märklin-H0-Transformators genutzt werden.
Further tips
If the luminous power is to strong in your own taste, you can reduce it by decreasing the
working voltage of the modul. To this you can use for example the drivingvoltage-output of
a Märklin-H0-transformer.
Das Brandflackern 5021 von Viessmann bietet einen noch nie dagewesenen realistischen Effekt eines lodernden Feuers. Bis zu sieben rot und gelb leuchtende Miniaturglühlampen flackern jeweils in unterschiedlichem Rhythmus, so daß dem Betrachter der
täuschend echte Eindruck von brennendem Feuer suggeriert wird. Noch realistischer
wird das Brandflackern durch eine stets brennende rote Glühlampe (liegt bei). Die Flakkerintensität kann stufenlos dem persönlichen Geschmack und dem Anwendungsfall
entsprechend eingestellt werden. Folgende Einsatzorte bieten sich an:
+ brennende Häuser (z.B. die Bausätze von Vollmer oder Pola)
+ Lagerfeuer (im Wald, am See usw.)
+ Öfen (Schmelzöfen in Industrieanlagen oder sogar für den Backofen im weih-
nachtlichen Hexenhaus
Im Lieferumfang enthalten sind zwei gelbe und eine rote Glühlampe. Ein Nachrüsten auf
bis zu sieben flackernde Lampen ist durch die Artikel 3501 (gelb), 3502 (rot) und 3503
(klar) möglich.
The electronic fire 5217 from Viessmann presents a never seen before realistic effect of a
blazing fire. Up to seven red and yellow miniature-lamps are flickering in a different
rhythm, suggesting the observer an striking real impression of burning fire. The electronic
fire becames extemly realistic by an always burning red lamp. The flicker intensity can be
adjusted steplessly, appropriating its use and your own taste. The following ranges of
application are possible:
+ burning houses (e.g.: construction-sets from Vollmer or Pola)
+ camp fires (in the forrest, at the lake)
+ stoves, furnaces or an oven in the christmassy witchhouse)
The delivery contains two yellow and one red miniature lamps. It is possible to connect up
to seven lamps to the electric fire [item 3501 (yellow), item 3502 (red) and item 3503
(clear)].
Achtung!
Alle Anschlußarbeiten sind nur bei abgeschalteter Betriebsspannung
durchzuführen!
Die Stromquellen müssen so abgesichert sein, daß es im Falle eines Kurz-
schlußes nicht zum Kabelbrand kommen kann. Verwenden Sie nur
handelsübliche und VDE-geprüfte Modellbahntransformatoren!
Attention!
Make sure that the power supply is switched off when you connect the wires !
The power sources must be protected to prevent the risk of burning wires. Only
use VDE-tested special model train transformers for the power supply!
