2.1 Intended use

Contact thermostat with sensor head for limiting the temperature of Fonterra surface heating units in combination with control stations.

2.2 Operating mode

In case of a fault, the safety contact thermostat switches off the circula­tion pump and therefore prevents the Fonterra surface heating from overheating. To avoid undesired activation, set the temperature at the safety contact thermostat 10 C° above the desired supply temperature (factory setting 60 °C).

3.1 Assembly

An electric shock can lead to burns and serious injury and even death.
– Work on the electrics may only be carried out by trained
electricians.
– Always de-energise the connection line before work is
commenced.
Loosen the screw on the casing with a suitable flat-blade screw­driver.
Remove external casing.
Make the electrical connection as illustrated.

Handling
Position the safety temperature limiter at the supply after the pump or on the manifold supply beam.
Fasten safety temperature limiter with steel tape.

3.2 Disposal

Separate the product and packaging materials (e. g. paper, metal, plastic or non-ferrous metals) and dispose of in accordance with valid national legal requirements.
