Vision™ Model 150 LightAmp™
DLP™ Home Theater Projector
Vidikron’s Vision™ Model 150 LightAmp™ projector brings our most
advanced technology, plus 1080p resolution and the world’s first THX*
home video products together in truly awesome fashion.
The Vision Model 150 uses a new, ingeniously engineered 3-chip DLP
light engine, combined with an advanced Xenon LightAmp™ illumination
system to bring astoundingly high performance and ultra high resolution to
the very best home theaters on the planet.
The Vision Model 150 uses a 1.2 kW Xenon lamp to produce our brightest
motorized horizontal and vertical lens shift capability. Vidikron engineers
have ensured that light is efficiently culminated through the implementation
of our advanced V2™ technology and have also engineered ISF™ calibration
standards into these projectors.
The Vision Model 150 is furnished with Vidikron’s newest, next-generation,
all-digital VHD controller, featuring our state-of-the-art Imagix™ video
processing, superb scaling, and the industry’s most advanced aspect ratio
control system.
Our exclusive CineWide™ and CineWide™ with AutoScope™ options are
also available, to fill the entire screen for true 2.35:1 widescreen movie
enjoyment while preserving every pixel of resolution and eliminating
distracting black bars.

CineWide™ and CineWide with AutoScope™
Until now, viewing movies presented in the CinemaScope™ 2.35:1 format has meant the presence of useless black bars on the top and bottom of your screen. It has also meant a possible loss of resolution because widescreen digital imaging chips are in the 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, not nearly as wide as 2.35:1.
Through the magic of our award winning CineWide and CineWide with AutoScope technology and the use of an appropriate screen, constant vertical height is maintained, filling the entire screen area. When you transition from a standard 16:9 (1.78:1) widescreen aspect ratio to 2.35:1 Cinema, the picture simply gets wider — really wide, just as you would experience in a quality cinema.
While CineWide provides a fixed anamorphic lens, with the AutoScope option the anamorphic lens in motorized and remote controlled.
Conventional Method
A conventional 2.35:1 image
displayed on a 1.78:1 (16:9) screen.
IMAGE AREA
Black bars = l ost resolution
The video processor anamorphically “stretches” the 2.35:1 image vertically to
completely fill the display’s imaging chip’s. This allows all pixels to be used.
2.35:1 Image on a 16:9 imaging chip
The anamorphic lens then “stretches” the image width to 2.35:1. Correct geometry is restored, while 100% of the pixels are now used to maintain
full resolution and eliminate black bars.
How it works:
CineWide™ Technology
Constant Vertical height and full resolution
are maintained. 100% of pixels are used.
Black bars are eliminated.
