SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The following safety precautions will increase the life of your KIDSPAD 3. Please follow all precautions and instructions. Except in cases as explicitly described in this leaflet, please entrust all repairs to qualified personnel. Do not use electrical cables, accessories and other peripherals. Do not use solvents such as thinners, benzene or other chemicals on or near the surface.
Do not expose this product to rain or moisture.
Keep the device out of direct sunlight and heat sources.
Protect the power cord. Route power cords so that they are not likely to be walked on or squeezed by items
placed on or against them. Pay particular attention to the point where the cord connects to the device.
Only use the AC adapter included with the device. Using any other power adapter voids your warranty.
Do not remove the cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
Clean KIDSPAD 3 using a clean sponge made of cellulose or a chamois moistened with a non-abrasive
detergent solution and remove any excess moisture with a dry cloth.
DO NOT place on uneven or unstable work surfaces. Take the product to the technical service in the event of damage or non-functioning.
DO NOT leave the KIDSPAD 3 on your lap or any part of your body to prevent discomfort or injury derived from exposure to heat.
Do not place near small objects that may scratch or penetrate the KIDSPAD 3.
DO NOT place or drop objects on the KIDSPAD 3 and do not introduce foreign objects into the KIDSPAD 3.
DO NOT expose to strong magnetic or electric fields.
DO NOT expose to dirty or dusty environments. Do not use in case of gas leak.
DO NOT display or use near liquids, rain or moisture.
DO NOT cover the KIDSPAD 3 with objects that may reduce airflow, such as a carrying bag.
OPERATING TEMPERATURE: The KIDSPAD 3 should only be used in environments with ambient
temperatures between 5 and 40 .
Heat input: refers to the nameplate on the back of KIDSPAD 3. Make sure your power adapter complies with the classification provided.
The power plug is used to disconnect the system and should always be easily accessible.

Icons Meanings: DANGEROUS VOLTAGE:
The lightning flash icon within a triangle to alert the user to the presence of "dangerous voltage" not isolated within the unit, which is an electrocution risk
CAUTION

The exclamation point inside the triangle icon alerts the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance instructions accompanying the product.
WARNING
:
• Do not expose the product to dripping water or splashing and do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the device.
• The power supply is used as a disconnect device and shall always be readily accessible.
• To completely disconnect the unit from electricity, the power supply must be disconnected from the electrical outlet.

PRECAUTIONS IN AIR TRAVEL
Contact your airline if you want to use the KIDSPAD 3 on the plane. Most airlines have restrictions for using electronic devices that they generally allow during the flight, but not during taking off or landing.
There are three main types of airport security devices: x-ray machines used to control objects on conveyor belts, magnetic detectors (used to control the people who pass through security checks) and magnetic drives (portable devices used to control the individual people or objects). You can place your KIDSPAD 3 in x-ray machines at airports. However, we recommend that you do not expose your KIDSPAD 3 to magnetic detectors at airports or to magnetic readers.

ON / OFF BUTTON AND UNLOCK THE SCREEN OPERATION
Turn on: Press the On / Off button for 3 seconds. Turn off: Press the On / Off button for 3 seconds, tap Power Off tap OK.
Unlock the screen: Momentarily press the button
on the screen and slide your finger towards .
When the system is in standby mode, press the On / Off button to access the interface screen lock button. Drag the
icon to to unlock the screen.
Forced Off: If the unit does not respond, press the button until the tablet is switched off. (Note: We recommend to use the Forced off only when necessary. Use preferably the normal shutdown procedure.).
TOUCH-SCREEN NAVIGATION
The touch-screen allows for quick, easy and convenient navigation for all applications.
The smaller the point that comes in contact with the screen, the more precise object selection can be.
Throughout the User Guide, you are instructed to use the following tap or touch navigation methods:
Tap: Quick tap & release on an item on the screen. Finger slide: Touch & slide your finger across the screen and then release. Touch & hold: Touch and hold in place approx 2 seconds, and then release to display an options window.
To avoid scratching or crushing, do not place objects on the touch screen surface.

STARTING VIDEOJET KIDS OS 2.0
Videojet Kids OS 2.0 is an interface fully designed for children, with a more playful intuitive ergonomics, accessible to a younger audience. With a fully configurable parental control, kids can use their tablet and internet safely.
Turn on the power To turn the unit on, press and hold the On / Off button and wait for the display of the logo of the product.

SECTION I : INITIAL CONFIGURATION
The first time you power on the KIDSPAD 3, you will be required to setup your profile and preferences. The following steps will guide you through the initial configuration process.
Step 1: Choose your language
KidsPad 3 is defaulted in French language with French time zone in Android. After you finish to set up your initial profile, it is recommended to select your language and time zone via Android settings <see Section III Parental Control 2.5 Settings (Paramètres) j) Language & input (Langue et saisie) & l) Date & time (Date et heure)>.

Step 2: Select and Connect to Wi-Fi access:
Select and tap on your hotspot. Enter your Wi-Fi Key.

Step 3: Create Kids Profile
This profile can either be a child or adult profile using the KIDSPAD 3 interface.
Enter basic information :
- User name,
- Set the password, if desired. Your password should contain letters and numbers only.
- Gender
- Date of birth

To edit avatar, click the pencil icon next to username.

To select theme, click icon under avatar.
It’s possible to take your own pictures or use pictures from the memory. The supported image formats are JPEG and PNG. Kids Profile can be edited in parental control afterwards.
Step 4: Setup parental control password
Important: Don’t forget this password as it will be requested to access the Parental Area. A hint question is also required in case you forget your password. For security reasons, make sure to choose a personal question with an answer that you can’t forget and that your children don’t know!

SECTION II : KIDS INTERFACE
1. WELCOME
The home screen provides access to the main categories of the operating system:

a) Battery icon : Displays the charge level of the battery. The same icon with a lightning bolt indicates
that your tablet is plugged into an external power supply and the battery is charging.
b) Icon: Log IN/OUT of Parental Area :
i) On Kids Interface : press this icon to go to Parental Interface. ii) On Parental Interface : press this icon to go back to Kids Interface .
c) Home icon : Go directly to home page Kids.
d) Clock Icon : To set the time, see "Section III PARENTAL CONTROL 2.5 Settings Date & time".
e) Wifi icon : This icon appears when the function is activated. For more information about the icon, see
"Section III PARENTAL CONTROL 2.5 Settings Wireless & Networks Wi-Fi”.
f) : Adjust the volume level.
g) Apps Bar at bottom of the screen indicates the different categories
and functions and it appears on every page.
h) All APPS icon : View all Applications installed and authorized for the Kids Profile without filtering by
category. This icon will be disabled when login to Parental Control Interface (see Section III) and on Kid’s login Interface as herebelow :
i) Logout Icon : To logout Kids Profile.

j) Avatar Icon : Click to open a dialog box to change existing user’s theme and check tokens number when
Token reward function is enabled.
k) Bookmark Icon : View all bookmarked application.
2. GAMES
To access the GAMES section, touch the " " icon on the home screen.
This section contains all the game applications. Tap the icon of the application you want to launch.
IMPORTANT: When first use, some applications need to be downloaded and installed before launching (WiFi
connection required). Just click on the application and wait for the download, then click on Install then on Open. At
the next launch of the application, it will launch directly.

3. CAMERA
To access the CAMERA section to take photo or video, touch the " " icon on Apps Bar
Operation:
Touch the
icon at the bottom right to select video mode, photo mode or panorama mode.
- In video mode , touch red dot to take video.
- In photo mode , touch the blue dot at the right to take a photo.
- In panorama mode , touch the green dot at the right to take a wide range photo.
In all modes, touch the icon on the top right screen to view the video or photo taken, then press the button to
the shooting interface.
In the view video or photo interfaces:
- Touch the icon on the top right of the screen to delete a file.
- Touch the icon to access slideshow, edit, rotate or details etc…
Press button to return to the previous Section.

4. GALLERIES
To access the GALLERIES section to view photos and videos contained in the tablet or USB Drive or Micro SD
card, touch the "
" icon on Apps Bar.

a) You can slide the photo to view more photos within the folder. When you view your photos, you can zoom in
by placing two fingers on the screen and the closer, to zoom out, spread your fingers.

- To delete an image, touch and hold the selected image from preview.

4.2 Video

This section contains all musical applications. Tap the icon of the application you want to launch.

6. MUSIC
a) To open “MUSIC” press the icon “ ” button
b) Select an audio file from "Artists / Albums / Songs / Playlists (My favorites) / Now Playing" for the user to read
the file.
c) Tap Music to enter the playing interface

e) Tap icon to enter the mode of random playing.
f) Tap icon to switch between the mode of loop for all and the mode of single song playing.
g) To continue listening to the music and return to the previous screen, press the button .

9. TOOLS
To access the TOOLS section, touch the " " icon on Apps Bar
9.1 Calendar
To access the Calendar, tap the icon .
a) At the first launch of the Agenda, an Enterprise account is required. Enter the e-mail account and password
address. Tap Next and follow the instructions to complete the account setup and to use the Calendar.
b) After completion of setting account, tap icon to enter Calendar interface shown as follows :

c) On the Calendar Interface :
i) Tap next to the date to select desired Calendar screen (Day / Week / Month / Agenda).
ii) Tap to add an event : Tap in each entry field to enter the desired event information then tap OK.
Dates with bars indicate scheduled events.
iii) Tap for General settings & Add account
9.2 Record
Tap icon to enter the Sound record interface.

a) Tap icon to start recording.
b) During recording, tap icon to stop, a dialog box will popup, indicating “Discard or Done”.
c) Tap icon to listen to the current recording.
You can play these audio files on your tablet. To do this, go to the Music Section, then select "Playlists" to display the following interface:

Tap icon to conduct calculation, shown as follows:

Tap icon to enter the Table clock interface, providing functions of alarm clock. First, tap on Add alarm. You
can manage the setting by tapping icon on top right corner.

10.1 Browser
To access the Browser, touch the " " icon on INTERNET SECTION
If the browser filter is enabled, the homepage of the Browser will show the safe website list for Kids to navigate as herebelow:

You can bookmark the web site using the icon and edit the bookmark using the icon .
IMPORTANT: By default, the filter of the browser is enabled, see Section III - PARENTAL CONTROL  2.1 Kids Profile  2.1.5 Browser Filter.
10.2 Email
a) Add an email account
You can add one or more e-mail address that you can view from your tablet.
i) Tap the Email icon. ii) On the Account setup, tap the Email Address field, enter your email address tap Next. iii) Tap in the Password field, enter the password for your email account iv) Tap Done v) Tap Next vi) Manual Setup (optional): The server settings are applied automatically to your e-mail account (eg gmail.com). If
necessary, you can change by touching Manual configuration and making any necessary changes. vii) Tap Next tap Next. viii) Optional : Enter a name for the account. xi) Enter the name to appear on outgoing messages tap OK.
Once (s) account (s) set (s), if you are unable to connect to a free e-mail account, check with your e-mail
account that their e-mail servers support POP and SMTP protocols or other for free accounts.

b) Inbox email
i) Tap the Email icon. ii) If a single e-mail account has been set, this account automatically opens, if multiple accounts, they are
displayed by touching
the right of the "Inbox".
iii) Touch the desired account Inbox.
c) Open e-mail message
i) On the Inbox screen, tap a message to open it. ii) To open an attachment, touch VIEW to launch the application or SAVE to save it in the "Download" folder
(Connect KidsPad 3 to your computer with the supplied cable <see Section IV>. You can find the file inside the
folder “Download”).
iii) To reply to the message, tap Reply or Reply all. iv) Tap in the Compose email field to enter your reply message.
v) If applicable, select Attach File to add an attachment. vi) When you are ready to send the message, tap Send.
d) Compose a new email message
i) On the Inbox screen, tap New message. ii) Tap the To field and enter the e-mail address.
iii) You can also copy to recipients (Cc or Bcc): select Add Cc / CCI and enter the addresses of recipients. iv) Tap the Subject field to enter the subject. v) Tap in the Compose email board to enter your new message.

vi) If necessary, tap Attach File to add an attachment. vii) When you are ready to send the message, tap Send.
e) Change e-mail account
i) Tap the Email
icon.
ii) On the Inbox screen, tap Settings Select the account. iii) Enter the desired settings for this account.
iv) Press the button to return to the Inbox.
f) Delete an email account
If you have multiple accounts and you delete the account set as default, the next account in the list automatically
becomes the default account.
i) Tap the Email icon.
ii) On the Inbox screen, tap Settings Select the account to be canceled. iii) Tap Remove account iv) Tap OK to confirm the deletion.
g) Define the e-mail account by default
You should always have an email account set as default. If you have multiple email accounts, you can set any of them enter as default.

i) Tap the Email icon.
ii) On the Inbox screen tap Settings Select the desired account by default. iii) Tap Default Account to select. If you delete the account set as default, the following account on the list automatically becomes the default account.
10.3 Tchat
Tap the Tchat icon on the Internet Section to enter Skype interface shown as follows :

Skype is a communication tool to chat and share documents with friends around the world. Click on the "Skype" icon on the desktop, enter your login and password to login.
NOTE: If you do not already have a "Skype" profile, you must first generate one by clicking "Create an account".
10.4 Cloud
Once connected to Internet, the Cloud from Videojet Kids OS 2.0 enables free of charge access to hundreds of children Musics, Videos and online Games, without having to download them.
To open the Cloud, press the icon in the Internet section

2.1.1 Markets

You can download and install or uninstall your Apps here from Kids Market, Amazon, One Mobile, SlideMe or Opera. The first time you access to Amazon, One Mobile and SlideMe, system will ask to download their Market. After downloading, follow the instructions appearing on the screen.
All new installed via these Markets apps are deactivated by default, if you want to show them in Kids interface please go to Application Manager to activate them.
Note : When download, update or purchase full version of an application via Markets, it is recommended to turn
off the Browser Filter (see Section III – Parental Control 2.1 Kids Profile 2.1.5 Browser Filter.
2.1.2 Application Manager –
To authorize which App could be used by your children and edit app’s category. You can manage which App is authorized to be used by your children. Only activated Apps will display on kids interface. To activate Apps for use, tick the box next to the App. A Search function has been provided on top right side for searching Installed Apps quicker. Having your App listed under the appropriate category will help your children find the App. GAMES, DRAWINGS, INSTRUMENTS, E-BOOKS could be chosen in this selection menu.

2.1.3 Time Management – To set up the use of time
i) Session Limit –
Allows you to define a session length to prevent the kids using the device a long time without rest.
You can define the play time per session, rest time in between sessions and the number of sessions per day. Maximum 6 sessions per day can be set.
ii) Time Limit –
Defines a start and stop using time during the day. The Time Limit has priority over the session limit, meaning that even if there is some remaining playtime in the current session, the profile will be blocked if the stop limit of the Time Limit is reached.
By default, time limit controls are off. Session Limit and Time Limit can be activated together, separately, or not at all. Slide them to ON to activate and press Save to confirm settings.

CAUTION: Limit Time, if enabled, will be applicable only on the checked days of the week. An unchecked
day will not be subject to the time limit. You can set the above setting on apps individually. By default, all apps are using global setting. When time limit range on individual app is out of global time limit range, system will kick user out even time limit on individual app is not reach yet.

2.1.5 Browser Filter
Custom approved sites as your safe list. Parents can enable the browser filter which allows children access to a list of approved sites. All other websites and not checked websites will be blocked entirely. You can also add an approved website by
using “+” button, or press ‘Pencil’ icon for editing, remember press ‘Save’ button to save settings.

SECTION IV: HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR DOCUMENTS BY USB
To transfer your documents via USB, first connect the tablet to your computer with the supplied cable.
USB Connection window appears:
Tap “Turn on USB storage” to connect to your computer. Your device should now appear in the list of devices connected to your computer. Now you can transfer all kinds of documents in specific folders (for example, the photos in the "Pictures" folder and videos in the "Movies" folder.). When you have finished transferring, unplug your tablet by touching "Turn Off USB storage", then disconnect it from your computer.

BATTERY MANAGEMENT
The battery is not fully charged out of the box, so it is recommended that you charge the battery for at least 5 hours before you start to use the device. The rechargeable battery is designed and manufactured to be used and recharged frequently. As with all batteries, the capacity of the battery reduces each time it is charged/depleted. However, you can still try to prolong the battery’s lifetime by following the suggestions below:
● Use your Tablet at least once a week.
Charge the battery regularly and fully.
Never leave the battery fully discharged for a long period of time.
Always keep the device and the battery away from heat.
CHARGE BATTERY
Plug the power adapter into an electrical wall outlet, and then connect to the device to fully charge the battery before use.
You cannot charge the battery using the USB cable.
When fully charged, the battery icon displays as: A fully discharged battery takes approximately 5 hours to fully charge, but you can use the device while plugged in if desired.
