VIDEOCON Washing Machines are lined with a protective antibacterial additive. The antibacterial additive evolves its activity on the cell wall and disrupts the metabolic process of micro-organisms and thus influences their ability to function, grow and reproduce. This action totally stops the grime, fungus, germs and other microbial elements building empires in the wash tub. Thus giving a clean wash tub for a longer period.

=Unique Auto Soak**

A specially designed soak system for better soaking

Soaking is an important element of the washing process. It enhances and optimizes the detergent’s action on the clothes. With this washing machine you can forget about soaking the clothes manually. Just put your clothes in the machine, add water and detergent, the rest will be taken care of by the Unique Auto Soak feature. The Unique Auto Soak option provides you the benefit of an ideal soak, which is better than the manual soak. It supplements soaking with intermittent agitation to ensure that all your clothes receive uniform soaking and better detergent action.

=Unique Spin Fountain

When the washed clothes are transferred into the spin tub, there are chances of the detergent still remaining in the clothes. This washing machine has a special inlet in the spin tub through which water is showered onto your clothes. This ensures that any traces of detergent left on the clothes are removed before drying.

Safety Instructions

Cautions

Do not use Washing Machine to wash items other

than Clothes, Blankets, Curtains, Towels etc. Never disassemble, Repair or Remodel this washing machine. This can cause fire or irregular action that may Result in injury.

= Be Sure that the washing machine grounded

- To avoid electrical shock

- Use Metal pipe for ground connection

- Don’t use Gas pipe or Telephone lines for connection.

= Keep away children from washing machine

- While playing child may fall into washing tub

- Rotating mechanism can cause harm to child

= Never touch Laundry during Wash & Spin

- Rotating tub may cause injury to your hand

- Do not touch laundry until tub has completely stopped.

Precautions When Operating

= Do not use water hotter than 50°C for washing clothes.

- Clothing may be deformed or decolored

- Plastic parts may be deformed or damaged

= Before washing, check all pockets

- If nails or pins remain in pockets, they may damage the washing machine or clothes

= Close wash lid, to avoid water splashes. = Never splash water on control panel. = Use detergent quantity as specified in manual.

= It is recommended to drain all the water from wash

tub if any, after completion of your wash cycle.

NOTE :

When the washing machine gets dirty, wipe it with

the slightly wet cloth.

Do not use machine when power cord is torn or

damage, Removing the power plug from the power outlet, you should remove it by pulling its insulated body not its cord. And do not place the machine or any heavy objects on the power cord; it may cause the damage to the power cord. If the power plug or power cord is damaged, contact your nearest service centre.

Do not place flammable substances near the machine

such as Kerosene, Benzine, Paint Thinner and Alcohol.

Do not put clothing with such substances in the tub.

How to Install

Place the washing machine on a sturdy flat surface

If the washing machine is placed on an uneven or weak surface noise or vibration may be occurred (Allowable tilt 2 )

Leave some space

Space at least 15cm between the washing machine and the wall.

Insert the power plug firmly into the main supply

Never install the washing machine near water

Do not place the washing machine in steamy rooms or where the washing is directly exposed to rain. Moisture may destroy the electrical insulation and cause an electrical shock hazard.

Avoid direct sunlight or heating devices.

As plastic and electrical components are affected by direct heat, never place washing machine near heaters, boilers etc. Do not place washing machine under direct sunlight.

Connecting the Drain Hose

Insert the drain hose(A) and push it tightly to be connected as arrow direction

Be careful that the machine should not be dropped Machine should not be move when loaded

- Push it with force further to the bottom of the drain outlet.

- Check the drain hose for not getting apart from the outlet by drawing it.

Washing Procedure

Step 1- WASHING

1. Before starting washing, check the following;

- Connect the water supply hose and open the water tap

- Connect the power cord to the power supply outlet

- Lay the drain hose (A) down toward a sinkhole

2. Set the Wash Selector Knob to the desired mode.

3. Set the Drain Selector Knob to WASH/RINSE

4. Set the Water Selector Knob to WASH.

5.Load laundry in the wash tub.

Step 2- RINSING

1. Set the Drain Selector Knob to “Wash/Rinse”

2. Supply of the proper amount of water as not to overflow the top of the washing tub.

3. Set the Wash Timer 2- 3 minutes.

Spin Shower Rinsing

With spin shower, the remaining detergent in the clothes will be removed and you can save on additional rinsing time and water. (However, if water from the tap contains rust and / or dirt, do not perform spin shower.)

1. Direct water to spin tub by turning knob / lever.

3. Turn OFF the tap and then spin for about 1 5 minutes.

4. During spin shower, if water is coming to wash tub through hole provided in nozzle, then reduce the water flow. This is not an defect and it is a facility specially provided to indicate excess amount of water being supplied to spin tub during spin shower rinsing.

6. Fill water in the wash tub and add the detergent.

7.Set the Wash Timer.

WASH TIMER

Set the Wash Timer 1-15 min. Set the Wash Timer 1-35 min.

Set the Wash Timer 1-40 min. (Set the Wash Timer to a point between 15 to 35 and 15 to 40 min for soak function).

SOAK FUNCTION

If the WASH TIMER is set to a point between “15" to "35" or "15" to "40" (Refer Specification Chart) t.he washing machine start the wash (15 min), a.fter the soak is completed

8.After washing, set the Drain Selector Knob to “DRAIN”

4. To Drain the Water

Set the Drain Selector Knob to Drain

5. Repeat this cycle until drain water is clean.(2-3 minutes)

6. Be sure lay the drain hose down.

2. Make sure that SPIN TIMER is at "0" (zero) position (spin tub not rotating),turn on the tap for about 1 minute.

Step 3:- SPINNING

1. Transfer the clothes into the spin basket the clothes evenly.

USE OF DETERGENT

1.FIll water into wash tub at desired level.

2.Add detergent as per cloth load as specified in Table 1,then run machine for 30 sec.

3.Add clothes into wash tub and fill water as specified in Table 1. For Quick Dissolving

1) Prepare warm water of 30°C.

2) Follow the above process.

Trouble Shooting

1.The washing machine does not work.

Check that the power cord is connected to a power outlet well. Power shortage?

Cleaning the Wash Tub

- Wipe off stains on the cabinet and operation panel with soft cloth.

- Do not use benzene, thinners, cleanser or wax nor scrub the washing machine with a brush due to that painted surface or plastic parts will be damaged

- When cleaning don’t spray water directly to the parts of the washer. It may make its life span shorter. Also an electric shock or fire may take place

Manufacturer of this VIDEOCON Brand Washing Machine undertake that the product is warranted against manufacturing defects for a period of date of purchase,24 months, commencing from the the manufacturer will repair or replace free parts of the Washing Machineof charge any part or except Top Lids, Inlet/Drain Hose and the be fully satisfied, in itslint Filter, should manufacturer sole discretion, that the defect/s material or workmanship only.is/are due to faulty The warranty will be governed by the following clauses :

1. This warranty is confined to the original products of the only.manufacturer

2. The or their authorised service manufacturer Agent / will repair / replace all parts failing due to faulty material or defective workmanship pertaining to the above Washing Machine.

3. Only the or its authorised Service manufacturer Agent / can service/repair/attend to install/ reinstall the washing Machine. The list of ’s serivce centre is as printed overleaf.Manufacturer

4. If the machine is not repairable at the place of its installation then the decision of technician to call back the machine to Service Centre for repairs shall be final. In such cases it is the responsibility of Purchaser to bring the machine to the Service Centre.

5. For the units installed beyond the municipal limits of the jurisdiction of the authorised service a ’Manufacturer Manufacturers authorized service station or ’s dealers as well as expenses incurred in connection with deputing of service personnel/technicians towards to and fro travel conveyance with deputing of service incidentials etc. will be borne by the customer.

Any change of location of the unit and / or change of ownership has to be done in consultation with the or its authorised service agent so that the warrantyManufacturer obligation for the remaining part of the warranty could be transferred to the new owners or the original purchaser but at the new location. The unit so transferred will be inspected by the or its service agent at the cost inspection charges.Manufacturer

7. Any damage caused during shifting will be repaired on chargeable basis. In the event of repair / replacement of any part/s of the set, this warranty will thereafter, continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period as per the warranty card issued at the time of purchase of the set. Moreover, the time taken for repair and in transit, whether under the warranty or otherwise, shall not be excluded from the warranty period.

8. This warranty will continue to be in force for the term herein specified, irrespective of what replaced may be provided under it, and such replacement shall not attract any fresh warranty unless specified.

The warranty extended herein is in lieu of all implied conditions and warranties under the law and is confined to the repair or replacement of defective parts and does not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss arising from such defects. Furthermore, the warranty in no case, shall extend to the payment or any monetary consideration whatsoever of the replacement or return of the Washing Machine as a whole.

10. The defective spare part/s shall be the sole property of and will be collectedmanufacturer by the Authorised Service Centre / Franchisee.

11. It shall be the discretion of the to replace the required part with suitable andmanufacturer currently available part/s. The may also use the substitute part for defective part.manufacturer

Warranty Terms and Conditions

The warranty does not cover any accessories external to the system or supplied by dealer .

13. The ’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or providingmanufacturer replacement of parts, which are found to be defective within warranty period.

14. Any defects in electrical installation on fittings outside Washing Machine shall have to be rectified by the purchaser only.

15. The shall not be liable for any delay in rectifying the machine, in the event ofmanufacturer non-availability of components and shall in no way be responsible for any losses, direct or indirect, arising out of the delay, if any.

If the machine is inspected by the authorized service center during warranty period and product is found free from any sort of damage/defect, Applicable visiting charges will be payable by customer.

17. Warranty shall stand ceased / cancelled if the machine is used for any type of commercial purpose.

18. The is not responsible for any breakage or non - performance or delay inmanufacturer providing service due to strike, industrial/labour dispute, fire, accident, damage, restriction imposed by Government, Act of God, riot, war, etc. which are beyond the control of the .manufacturer

19. The warranty is issued subject to the jurisdiction of Aurangabad Court of law.

20. If any colored internal or external components are replaced there will be commitment to

ensure that shades match with the original or other components. The replaced shades, patterns, tints may vary from the customer's unit due to continuous usage of unit. Any matching components changed at customer's request will be on chargeable basis except the component which are actually needed.

THIS WARRANTY IS NOT APPLICABLE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CASES

1. The warranty card is not duly filled and mailed back to the service centre for registration by the purchaser, within 10 days of purchase.

The completed Warranty card is not presented to the technician at the time of repair.manufacturer

3. The machine is not used according to the instruction given in owner’s guide.

4. Defects caused by improper use as determined by the personnel.manufacturer

5. Any repair work/installation is carried out by the person other than Videocon service centre/service agent.

6. Site (premises where the product is kept) conditions that do not conform to the recommended operating conditions of the machine.

7. The serial number is deleted, defaced or altered.

8. If the electrical power supply voltages, are not within the stipulated norms.

9. Any defects arising out of lightning, abnormal voltage, fire, accident, any acts of God or other circumstances beyond the control of the while the machine is in transitmanufacturer or otherwise.

10. Defects caused by household pets, Rats, Cockroaches or any other animals or insects.
