Safety Precautions
Please comply with these precautions / measures
to avoid actions that may endanger your safety
and those of other road users, and maximize
device performance.
Road safety
The use of a mobile phone while driving is illegal.
If you need to make or receive a call, move your
vehicle to the left side of the road and allow it
to come to a complete stop before using your
phone.
Aircraft Safety
Switch your phone off while boarding an aircraft.
Signal from your phone can affect aircraft
system. You are legally obliged to comply with
this recommendation.
Emergency Calls
In the event of an emergency, you may dial 100
(Police), 101 (Fire Brigade), and 102 (Ambulance).
Even if you are out of the coverage area of your
home mobile network, the device is programmed
to connect to any available network and place
your call.

Battery Use
To extend the battery life of your device:
• Use the standard wall charger while charging
the phone for the first time.
• During the first 3-4 charge cycles, charge
the battery until the battery indicator on the
display stops scrolling up and down.
• Avoid partial charging. Wait for the battery
to discharge completely before charging it
again.
• Use the USB cable to charge the device only
during an emergency.
Assembling the device
1. At the bottom of the phone, insert your little
finger into the groove. Pull the back cover
upwards to remove it.
2. If the battery is inside its compartment, lift it
in the direction of the arrow.

3. Insert the SIM card in the given slot. Make sure
that the contact area on the card is facing the
connectors on the device as shown below.
5. Insert the battery in the battery compartment.
Align the contacts on the battery with the
corresponding connectors in the battery
compartment and insert in the direction of

4. Insert the memory card in the slot and push
it in until it gets locked into a given place.
Make sure that the contact area is facing the
connectors in the device.
6. Close the battery cover in the direction of the
arrow.

Introduction
Charge the battery
Before using the phone for the first time, you
must charge the battery.
To charge the device:
1. Insert the smaller end of the travel charger
into the multifunctional jack at the top of the
phone.
2. Put the adaptor end of the travel charger into
a standard AC wall socket.
3. When the battery is charged completely, the
battery indicator icon on the screen becomes
stable and stops scrolling.
4. Unplug the travel adaptor from the phone.
NOTE: Improperly connecting the travel adaptor
can cause serious damage to the phone. Any
damages by misuse are not covered by the
warranty.

Key Layout
Accessing menus and icons
Move your finger or the stylus up or down to
scroll vertically.
Similarly, move your finger left or right to scroll
horizontally. Press an icon to launch it.
Some menu items have three periods (…) printed
against them to indicate that you must press
your finger or stylus for at least three seconds
to launch them.
Dial Key
Press Dial key to view the Call history. Scroll to the
desired number, and press again to make a call.
End Key
End or reject calls. Press and hold this key to turn
phone On/Off, cancel function and return to the
idle screen.
OK Key
• In idle mode, press to open Menu.
• In menu, use to perform the functions
that display in the lower left of the display
screen.

Dual SIM Card
Your phone supports dual SIM cards, allowing
you to use two different phone numbers on one
mobile phone. However, at any given time, only
one SIM card will be active.
Flight Mode
Continue using basic operations of the device
while the transmitting function is switched off.
In Flight Mode, you cannot use the call or
messaging functions of the phone. However, use
of other functions of the phone is permitted.
Keypad lock
When you power on your phone for the first time,
the keypad will get locked after few seconds. To
unlock the keypad, slide the key towards the lock
displayed on the screen and put it over the lock.
To lock the keypad, touch lock icon on the
screen.

Making and Receiving calls
In the idle mode:
1. Touch the phone icon at the bottom righthand side of the screen to display the numeric
keypad.
2. Enter the phone number including the area
code. Touch Clear to erase a digit.
For international calls, insert the ‘+’ sign followed
by the country code, area code (without the initial
zero and phone number).
To receive a call, press the dial key on the phone.
Making a Call using Call History
Call History keeps the record of each call you may
have made or received. To make a call from Call
history:
Press the dial key on your phone. The list of recent
call history will be displayed. Scroll up or down to
navigate the list, and then press the dial key.
Call Options
During a call, the phone allows you to perform
various functions.
To view the available options, press Options
during a call:
• Hold single Call: Place the active call on
hold.
• End single Call: End the active call.
• New call: Make a new call.
• Phonebook: View the phonebook.
• Messages: View the Messages menu.
• Lock Phone: You can lock your phone.
• Sound Recorder: Record the active call.
• Background Sound: Enable playing of
background sounds during a call. Choose the

desired sound effect from the Effects list.
• Mute: Turn On/Off the microphone.
• DTMF: Dual-tone Multi-frequency.:You can
choose On/Off, to send dual-tone multifrequency sound.
Connecting to the PC
You can connect this handset to a computer’s
USB port using the cable provided with the device
packaging. To do so:
1. Connect the smaller end of the cable to the
input slot at the top of the phone, and the
other end to a standard USB port on your
computer.
2. An on-screen dialog prompts you to select
the connection mode. Your options are:
• Mass Storage: Access the phone and
memory card of your phone as a regular
hard drive partition on your computer.
Display Map the device as drive on the
computer and transfer files between the
PC and phone. You can also take backup
of phone data to your computer.
• Web Cam: Use the device as a web camera
to voice chat on your favorite instant
messaging application.
• COM port: Use this device as a modem
to browse the Internet on your computer
using your phone’s GPRS connection.

Call history
Use Call history to view the All, Missed, Received,
Dialed, and Rejected calls. On the Idle screen,
touch Menu at the bottom left-hand corner of the
screen, and then touch Call history.
Each entry in Call history is prefixed by the SIM
using which the particular call was made or
received.
The Call history menu comprises the following
tabs:
• All Calls: List of all incoming, dialed, and
missed calls.
• Missed Calls: Calls you were unable to
answer before the termination of ringing.
•Received Calls: Displays the list of latest
received calls.
• Dialed Calls: Displays the list of latest dialed
calls.
•Rejected Calls: Calls you disconnected
without pressing the dial key first.

Phonebook
Phonebook is a location in your phone’s internal
memory on which you can store names and
numbers of contacts. The SIM card also allows
you to store phone numbers, though the service
provider decides the capacity. Even though, the
SIM card and the phone’s internal memory are
physically separate, they are used as a single
entity known as Phonebook on the phone.
View Phonebook
Touch View phonebook from the Phonebook
menu to view an alphabetical list of all your
contacts.
For faster access to a contact, Press Search Open
to display an alphanumeric keypad. Enter the first
few characters of the number or the name of a
contact to view a matching list of contacts.
Add new contact
Add a new contact to the phonebook. You can
choose to store the contact in the SIM cards,
Phone memory, or microSD card.
To add a contact:
1. Select Menu
contact, and choose the location where you
want to store this contact. Your options are
microSD Card, SIM Cards, and Phone memory.
2. Select Name and enter a name for the
contact.
3. Select Number and enter phone number, and
save the contact in the desired location.
NOTE: If you choose to store the contact on
SIM memory, you can only enter a Name and
a Number, but if you want to store the contact
on Memory card or Phone memory, then you can
enter other details such as company name, e-mail
address, or alternate phone numbers etc.

• Delete marked: Remove the selected
contacts from the phonebook.

phone memory.
• Copy to Memory card: Copy marked contacts
to memory card.
• Copy all: Copy marked contacts to SIM1,
SIM2, Phone memory, or microSD card and
vice versa.
• Delete all: Delete contacts stored in SIM1,
SIM2, phone memory, or microSD card.
Memory card contacts
View contacts stored on the microSD card. The
options available in microSD card contacts are:
o Send SMS

Phonebook backup
Use this option to export or import a phonebook.
The available options include Phonebook backup
and Phonebook restore. You may choose to
backup or restore contacts stored on SIM1, SIM2,
or phone.

Phonebook settings
The available options in phonebook settings are:
• Memory status: View used and available
memory for storing contacts.
• Caller groups: Create a caller group to apply
one rule to multiple callers without having to
recreate the rule several times. Caller groups
contain multiple entries from your personal
contacts list.
• Owner numbers: Numbers that are assigned
to each SIM card.
• Preferred storage: Choose the location
where you wish to store the contacts. You
may choose SIM1, SIM2, Phone, or microSD
card.
• My vCard: Store your personal contact
information as a vCard to allow quick sharing
of your details with contacts. Once you have
entered your contact information, use the
Send my vCard option to send your vCard
via SMS, MMS, and Email or transfer over
Bluetooth. You can also save your vCard as a
file to the phone memory or to the microSD
card.
• Caller picture: Set an image to a contact.
This image displays each time you get a call
from this contact.
•Caller ringtone: Set a ringtone to a contact.
This ringtone plays each time you get a call
from this contact.
• Caller video: For easy identification of the
incoming call, choose a specific video to play
when a certain contact calls.

• Open: View contents of an existing folder.

Messages
In Messages, you can send and receive text and
multimedia messages. To launch messages on
the idle screen, touch Menu

On the idle screen, touch Menu
SMS to display the Messages. The various tabs
are:
• Inbox: Messages you receive are stored in
Inbox folder. Touch Write to display the
Write message screen. If you prefer using a
QWERTY keypad, turn your phone 90: to the
left to display the keypad.
• Outbox: Stores all sent messages.
• Drafts: Partial or complete text messages
that you wish to send at a later time.
• Favorite: Display messages that you mark as
favorites.

MMS
The device supports multimedia messaging,
which allows you to send rich content (images,
videos, sounds and so on) as message attachment
to recipients. The various options are:
• Write message: Create and send a multimedia

• Inbox: Messages you received using MMS are
stored in the Inbox folder.
• Outbox: Stores all sent multimedia messages.
• Drafts: Partial or complete text messages
that you wish to send at a later time.
Templates: Speed up messaging by using built-

• MMS settings: You can edit the settings
for Compose, Send, Retrieve, Filter and the
Server profile. You can also check the memory
status of the phone.
Email
Use Email to send and receive corporate or Web
based e-mail from the phone. To be able to do so,
you need to configure your phone to connect to
a mail service provider and download messages.
The various options are:
•Send and Receive: Check for and download
new messages, and send messages in your
drafts folder.
• Write Email: Compose new Email messages.
• Inbox: Stores all the received Email
messages.
•Outbox: Contains all the Email messages sent
from your phone.
• Sent: Stores the copies of Emails you have
already sent.
Drafts: Partial or complete Email that you wish

to send at a later time. To save a message as a
draft, press Back while writing a message and
choose Save to save the message as a draft.
• Clear mailbox: Delete messages from the
Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, and Sent folders.

Your phone is capable to receive and store

status to ON/OFF for both the SIM cards. The
messages are stored in Read Message folder. If
Broadcast Message Receive Mode is ON, it is also
displayed on the main screen.

then each SIM card will have its own broadcast
message settings.

Set the alarm to ring at a specific date and time.

on a specific day.

Dual SIM settings
You can select the SIM card that you wish to use
from the dual SIM settings. The available options
are:
• Dual SIM open: This option activates both
the SIM cards.
• Only SIM1 open: This option activates only
SIM1.
• Only SIM2 open: This option activates only
SIM2.
Flight mode: Disables all RF based

communication for both SIM1 and SIM2.
However, you can use other features/functions

Touch Menu Settings
Change the appearance of the phone. The
available options are:
Display characteristics
• Wallpaper: Set favorite wallpaper on the
main screen of your phone. You can change
the wallpaper of your phone through System
or User defined option.
• Screen saver: Let you set an image as a
screen saver.
• Show owner number: Set the status of SIM1
owner number and SIM2 owner number as
On/Off.
• Show operator name: Set the status of
operator name as On/Off.
• Magic screen effect: Select the transition
effect to display while moving between
screens.

• Time and date: Let you set home city, Time
and date on the phone.
• Schedule power on/off: Let you set a
particular time on the phone when the phone
should power on/off itself.
• Language: This device currently supports
English only.
• Pref. input methods: This enables you to
select the text input method. The available
options are: Smart ABC/Smart abc/ Smart
Abc, Multitap ABC/Multitap abc, and Numeric
input.
• Greeting text: Choose the text you want to
display each time you switch On your phone.
• Touch Effect: Set the phone to vibrate each
time you touch an icon to launch it.
• UART setup: Dual SIM phone usually need to
setup UART. You can choose SIM 1 or SIM 2.
•LCD backlight: Controls the brightness and
time for which backlight displays.
• Motion sensor settings: Using the built-in
motion sensor, you can perform the tasks just
by shaking the phone.
The Motion sensor settings sub-menu displays a
list of functions and the action that will result after
you shake the phone. Based on your requirement,
switch an application and the associated action.
Once you are done, launch the application for
which you enabled motion sensing and shake
the phone to bring about the desired change.
For example, if you enable changing of wallpaper
whilst on the idle screen, return to the idle screen
and shake the phone, the wallpaper will change.
Call settings
This option enables you to set the Call settings of
the phone. The options are:

Speed dial
Enable or disable speed dial, and associate
contacts to the numbers available in the speed
dial list.
Closed user group
This is a network based service. It enables to
enter group name and edit as per individual
requirement. Several numbers can be listed to
form a user group. Use this option to specify
restrictions to the communication of a user
group.
SIM Call Settings
•Caller ID: Enables to set the caller ID status of
the phone. It is a network based service.
• Call waiting: Enables to Activate / Deactivate
call waiting and check the query status.
•Call divert: You can set to forward the
incoming call in different conditions and
enable to Activate/Deactivate call diversion.
•Call barring: Enables you to restrict the calls
that you make and receive with your phone.
You can set outgoing calls, incoming calls,
cancel all or change barring password. It is a
network based service.
Note: The options are same for both the SIM
cards.
Call time display
Set the status of call time display On/Off. After
setting this function On, you can view the call
time displayed on the screen.
Call time reminder
After setting this function to On, it will offer
a warning tone towards the single or periodic
setting as your own during the call process, so
you will be reminded of the call time at periodic
intervals during a call.

Background sound
You can set background sound while making a
call, select Volume of background sound, and also
select the options of Effect list.
Answering machine
Configure your phone to automatically play a prerecorded message each time you are unable to
attend a call.
Blacklist
Enables you to add the number in the black list so
as to block calls from that number.
Whitelist
Set the status of the white list function. If you set
the status On, you will receive the call only from
the numbers that you edit in the white list.
Auto redial
Enable to have the device redial a number if it is
busy.
Auto Call Disconnect
Set the Auto call disconnect to On/Off.
Touch screen calibration
Calibration is necessary when the coordinates of
the area touched on the screen are not sufficiently
close to the coordinates on the display. Without
proper calibration, software may not respond
correctly when a soft button or icon is pressed.
Security setup

Under Security setup, we have the following
options available:
• SIM Security Setup

Security setup.
o SIM lock - Press OK key to enable PIN lock,
which will require you to input a password
when the mobile phone is switched On.
Otherwise, the SIM card is unavailable.

o Fixed dial - Outgoing calls from your
phone can be restricted by making a fixed
dialing list that allows only numbers on
that list to be dialed from the phone.
o Barred dial - Barred dialing is a SIM card/
Network dependent feature. If your
operator supports it, then you can use the
facility in the phone.
o Change password – This option enables
you to change the password of SIM1/2.
Note: These options are available for both
the SIM cards.
• Phone Lock: Phone Lock protects your phone
from any unauthorized usage or unauthorized
access to information stored in the phone.
When phone lock is activated, the phone
would ask for the phone lock code every time
you power-on the phone. Enter the lock code
(default as 0000) to use the phone. You can
simply unlock the phone by touching Menu

Phone lock,
enter the lock code and put it off.
• Auto keypad lock: Auto Keypad lock
automatically locks the keypad after a preset
time interval. You can set the time from 15
seconds to 5 minutes.
• Privacy Lock: By entering the password
(default as 0000), you can protect your SMS,
Phonebook, Call History, MMS and Storage
data.
• Mobile Tracker: This function enables you
to track your phone in case it gets lost.
The default password for mobile tracker is
0000. If someone inserts another SIM card
in your mobile, you will receive an SMS to
the assigned number from the new SIM card

to know who is using your mobile. You must
keep the Mobile Tracker Status ON and set
the number on which you can receive the
SMS.
Network setup
Network setup provides user the option to select
a desired network and addition of a new network
to the network list. The network setup gives you
the option:
• SIM Network setup: The options available
under network setup are:
o Network selection
o Preferences
Restore factory settings
Selecting this option will ask you to enter the
password to restore the phone to factory settings.
The default password is set as 0000.

User profiles
This function allows you to set the ring tone,
alert type, ring volume, etc. when you receive an
incoming call or a new message so that you can
adapt the use of your phone to different types of
call environments. The available profiles include
General, Meeting, Outdoor, Indoor, and Headset,
Bluetooth, Save power, and Silence.

Services
STK
The submenus of this feature depends on the
operator and different operators may provide
different services (some SIM cards do not support
STK), which cannot be modified. Please contact
your operator.
WAP
WAP or Wireless Application Protocol browser
provides all the basic services of a computer
based web browser but is simplified to operate
within the restrictions of a mobile phone. The
WAP Browser has the following options:
• Homepage: Homepage allows you to enter
the default URL on the phone. This will enable
you to go to the same page every time you
access the homepage.
• Bookmarks: Bookmarks enable you to mark a
place in an electronic document or a pointer
(primarily to an internet URL) in an Internet
web browser.
• Recent pages: Recent Pages store the list
of URLs which have been recently visited by
you on the WAP browser.
• Offline pages: Offline Pages store the list of
URLs which you have saved.
• Input address: Enter the desired address
(URL) of the website or webpage in this
column.
• Service inbox: Service Inbox receives and
stores URLs through text messages from the
operator. You can read them and accept to go
to the web page and browse.
•Settings: You can vary the following
settings:
o Select SIM
o Edit account

Data account
Data account contains two types of accounts
used to establish GSM/GPRS connections for
WAP, MMS and www browsing.
• GSM data
