HDMI CAT-5 Extender
HD1011
VIDEOBALUNS UNLIMITED
The HDMI CAT-5 Extender HD1011 allows you to place your HDTV display up to 200 feet away from your HDTV source. All you need is two CAT-5 cables. The HD1011 provides a cost effective way of
getting the most from your HDTV equipment.
The HD1011 includes a transmitter, receiver and two 6 foot HDMI cables. The transmitter is connected to the HDTV source, such as a DVD player, set top box or computer using one HDMI cable. The receiver is connected to the display using the other HDMI cable. Between the receiver and transmitter, connect two CAT-5 or better cables of the required length. The receiver includes an equalization switch to optimize the image quality.
• HDMI 1.3 compliant

INSTALLATION
1. Connect your HDTV source (such as a DVD player) to the transmitter using the included HDMI cable.
2. Connect your HDTV display (such as a plasma or LCD TV) to the receiver using the other HDMI cable.
3. Connect your CAT-5/5e/6 cables between the transmitter and receiver.
4. Plug in the power supply to the receiver.
5. If a flickering or a blinking image is seen, try adjusting the equalization switch.
NOTE
1. For transmitting non-HDCP compliant video/audio, you can use only one CAT-5/5e/6 cable using the jack labeled “TMDS”.
2. All the transmission distances are measured using high quality CAT-5e.
3. If used in an environment in which Electro Magnetic Interference exists (such as close to fluorescent lighting), shielded CAT-5/5e/6 cables can be used to reduce EMI problems, especially over long distances.
4. Because the quality of the CAT-5/5e/6 cable has a major effect on performance, the actual transmission distance is subject to the electrical characteristics of your CAT-5/5e/6 cable. For resolution greater than 1080i or 1280x1024, a CAT-6 cable is recommended.
