H) Wipe all surfaces of the machine with a damp cloth and anti-static solution after use.
(Abrasives are not recommended).
i) Victor recommend inspection and service by Victor Qualified Service Engineer at least once per year.
ii) Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) should be carried out at least once per year, twice if the machine is used daily.
NOTE: This machine contains semi-conductor devices and high voltage insulation tests should be limited to
500 volts absolute maximum.

WARRANTY POLICY
With the exception of Distributors, this warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product from Barnborough
Ltd.,(The Company) for the following periods:
Vacuum Cleaners – Motors 2 Years, all other components 1 Year
Rotary Floor Machines – Motors 2 Years, all other components 1 Year
Scrubber Driers – Control Unit and Tanks 2 Years, all other components 1 Year
Carpet Extractors – 1 Year
Battery Burnishers (inc Battery) – 1 Year
Specialist Machines – 1 Year
This warranty excludes normal maintenance parts and consumables such as hoses, filters, drive belts, floor tools,
cables, capacitors, relays, skirts and pads etc. that are considered replaceable during the normal working life of the
machine. This list is not exhaustive.
The warranty period commences from the date the goods are purchased by the user.
All warranty claims must be processed through the Distributor from whom the equipment was purchased
The Distributor will be responsible for the service, maintenance and repairs during the warranty period.
The Distributor will co-operate with the purchaser throughout the warranty claims procedure and will
arrange any necessary repairs using genuine Victor parts.
If the original Distributor is no longer available to fulfil his obligations, or if you did not make your original
purchase through a distributor, the Company should be contacted and given details of proof of purchase
and full details of the claim in order that the claim may be processed without delay.
Any warranty claim can only relate to the specific part that is proven to be at fault and for which a
replacement will be supplied but cannot be extended to constitute a claim against the complete appliance.
The Company will supply the Distributor with any warranty parts required subject to the claim being
validated after return of the faulty items in accordance with the Company's Conditions of Sale.
All replacement parts are guaranteed for a period of 6 months.
Claims will not be accepted if they are the result of fair wear and tear, misuse or abuse of any kind, acts of
God, damage in transit other than original product delivery, failure due to lack of proper care or maintenance
or failure to comply with safety guidance.
No replacement will be given unless the appropriate evidence of the validity of the claim has been provided
to the satisfaction of the Company.
The Company reserves the right to charge for any unnecessary work carried out as a result of an invalid claim.
No variation to this warranty may be made or implied by any member of the Company, its Distributors or
representatives unless such variation is in writing and authorised by the Company.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. CHECK POWER LEVEL OF BATTERY CHARGE.
Ensure battery is not being charged, if it is, disconnect it from mains supply.
Insert the key into the keyswitch and turn the machine fully on by rotating the keyswitch (Fig
2 circled) to the ON position. When the key switch is activated, the LED battery indicator
lights (Fig 3). At this point the battery power status will be indicated by one of the LED lights
illuminating. The colours on the LED indicator denote as follows:
RED: Immediate battery charge needed. DO NOT USE.
GREEN: Machine is ready for use.
CAUTION: The machine will automatically cut-out when the RED light shows.
2. CHARGING THE BATTERY
NOTE: The machine leaves the production line fully charged. It is however recommended that the battery is charged in line with the LED status indicator instruction
(below) prior to first usage.
If battery requires charging prior to use, charge battery with on board charger as follows:
A) Turn Key (Fig 2) to off position and remove.
B) Lift up flap (Fig 4) , pull cable from housing and plug charger into mains supply.
The LED charging status indicator (Fig 5 circled) will show RED (Charging) light when battery
is charging. The light will change to GREEN (Ready) when machine is fully charged. To
achieve the maximum run time it is not recommended that the machine is used prior to the
GREEN light being displayed.
NOTE: The battery does not need to be fully discharged before re-charging. The machine
can be placed on charge at any time. The on-board charger will detect the charge state of
the battery and charge accordingly.
3. ATTACH/DETACH DRIVE PAD
A) Ensure key switch is removed.
B) Tilt the machine onto its back until it is resting on the floor exposing the drive
mechanism. (Fig 6).
C) If there is no pad attached or the pad needs replacing,unscrew the central pad
retainer in the direction denoted on the retainer (Fig 7)
D) To attach the new pad, push the pad retainer through the central hole in the pad and
into the threaded location in the drive mechanism. Tighten in the direction denoted until
pad is secure(Fig 6)
NOTE: ALWAYS ENSURE THERE IS A PAD ATTACHED TO THE DRIVE BEFORE
OPERATING THE MACHINE. (Also see burnisher safety section).

4. OPERATE THE MACHINE.
A) After completing any actions necessary as detailed in sections above,turn key switch
to the ON position.
B) Adjust handle to comfortable working height by pulling the height adjustment lever
(Fig 9A)
C) Operate the machine by sliding one of the safety switches (Fig 9B) outwards and lifting
one of the ON/OFF levers (Fig 9C) . Note that the safety switch can be released once
machine is operating.
D) The machine is designed to be manoeuvred in-line forwards or rearwards.
5. PASSIVE VACUUMATION. (Replacement Bag: C1456)
Before use, check and replace paper vacuum Bags (Fig 8 / 9) if necessary.
This is important to ensure correct operation of the dust collection feature.
6. FELT SEAL REPLACEMENT. (Replacement Seal: C1613/F)
The white felt seal fitted to the skirt (Fig 6) can be removed and re-fitted the other way
around to double the life
NOTE: For safety reasons and to prevent power wastage, if the machine is left unattended
for a period of approx 4 minutes, the LED lights will flash intermittently accompanied by an
audible alert beep. If this occurs, turn machine off. To prevent unauthorised use of the
machine it is recommended that the key is removed from the switch if the machine is to be
left unattended.

SAFETY INFORMATION GENERAL
1. This appliance should only be used by trained operators. Any person intending to use this machine must read
and understand all of the information contained in this document prior to use.
2. CAUTION: This machine is NOT suitable for picking up hazardous dust or flammable materials.
3. WARNING: The weight of this machine makes it un-suitable for a single person lift. For lifting instruction, please
refer to relevant H.S.E. Directives.
4. Always ensure battery charger cable has been disconnected from the mains supply and the key
removed before carrying out any cleaning, routine maintenance or pad changing.
BURNISHER
A) Always ensure that charger cable is disconnected from mains supply prior to operation
B) Never use dirty pads or allow pads to become oversoiled before changing. This machine has been designed for
use with pads supplied by the manufacturer. The fitting of other pads may affect its safety
C) The VICTOR Rotary Floor machines maximum A-Weighted sound pressure level Lpa measured in dB(A) is
less than 85dB(A).
D) The maximum r.m.s. Acceleration value of a VICTOR Rotary Floor machine = 1.5m/s²
E) Check the battery charger cable and plug for damage before use, and if necessary, replace with a new
cable pack.
NOTE: Only use “Victor” approved cable from our agents or direct.
F) Check that the charger voltage (240V) is suitable for the supply available.
G) The battery charger on this appliance must be earthed. The wires in the mains lead are as follows:
Blue: - Neutral. This is connected to the terminal N
Brown: - Live. This is connected to the terminal L
Yellow / Green: - Earth. This is connected to terminal E
