Vicon V926-PHS Instruction Manual

Instruction Manual XX150-10 Introduction
The information in this manual covers the installation and setup of the V926-PHS Pendant Housing for the Roughneck V926 Fixed-Position Camera Domes. This unit should be installed by a qualified technician using approved materials in accordance with national, state and local codes. Read these instructions through completely before attempting installation.
The V926-PHS provides pendant mounting for the Roughneck V926 Series Fixed-Position Camera Domes. Refer to Installation and Operation Manual XX150 for V926 Camera Dome complete installation instructions. The pendant housing was designed for use with any mount that supports the total weight of the V926 and V926-PHS and adapts to a 1-inch NPT pipe thread. A 1-1/2-inch NPT bushing to 1-inch NPT nipple adapter is provided, if required. Refer to Installation and Operation Manual for the selected mount for specific mounting information.
Installation
When the Roughneck V926 Dome Camera requires a pendant configuration, it must be installed in a V926-PHS pendant housing. The mounting surface must provide suitable strength to support the weight of the V926 and the V925-PH combined, which is approximately 6 lb (2.7 kg). Be sure the area in the selected location is clear of obstacles (such as steel beams, headers, pipes, electrical wiring, etc.), which would interfere with mounting. Video and power cables must be routed to the location. An adapter is provided, if necessary, to secure to a mount with a 1-1/2-inch NPT-F thread. Follow the steps below and refer to Figures 1and 2.
1. Install the selected mount using appropriate hardware for the installation surface and run the cables through it according to instruction manual for the mount.
2. Apply pipe sealant provided to the threads of 1-inch NPT pipe nipple on mount or threads of 1-1/2 x 1-inch NPT adapter to create a seal. Screw the V926-PHS assembly onto the wall mount.
3. Run the cables through the V926-PHS. Be sure to have sufficient cable length to complete wiring.
4. Remove the electrical box from the V926 assembly by removing the two (2) screws that secure the camera interface plate to the electrical box. Save the two screws and discard the electrical box.
5. Attach the tabs on the camera interface plate of the V926 to the V926-PHS mounting plate with the previously removed 8-32 screws.
6. Remove the two (2) screws that hold the camera mounting bracket to the camera interface plate. Save the two (2) screws. Make the cable connections to the connectors on the camera mounting bracket. See Figure 2 and refer to instruction manual XX150 if necessary.
7. Reattach the camera mounting bracket to the camera interface plate using the previously removed 6-32 machine screws.
8. Continue with the instructions in the Roughneck V926 installation manual for camera configuration.
