SAFETY SYSTEM
This pressure cooker is equipped with the following 3 safety systems in order to ensure safety during use.
Safety valve:
The safety valve automatically controls the pressure inside the cooker. If the cooker has pressure inside, the safety valve will rise up, and the red head will be visible
through the hole on the upper part of the small handle while the lid "locks".
Never try to open the lid using force while the safety valve remains visible.
The safety valve will automatically emit overpressure by releasing the steam in order to keep the pressure at safe levels.
If the lid is not locked properly, the inside pressure do not go up, as the safety valve will release the steam automatically. In this case you should stop heating and lock the lid properly.
When the inside pressure is lower than safety opening pressure, the valve will drop down then it is safe to open the lid.
Pressure Regulator valve - button:
The Pressure Regulator button allows you to select the desired pressure for cooking as well as to release the steam. Rotate the knob to the desired position by lifting it and turning it. CAUTION do not touch with your fingers the exhaust hole when the steam is released There are 2 cooking pressure settings you can choose (50 kPa and 90 kPa). Set the desired pressure level depending on the type of food you want to cook. The Pressure Regulator button can be set in 3 positions that activate different functions according to the below details
Position :
Release the steam
Position :
Cooking pressure is set to 50 kPa
Position :
Cooking pressure is set to 90 kPa
Caution: Never turn the pressure regulation valve facing the user
5
The Pressure Regulation Valve allows the steam to be released so that the pressure inside the cooker is maintained at safe levels.
Safety window:
For extra safety the lid features a safety window. If both valves do not work properly then the sealing ring will be compressed and will allow the steam to go out in order to keep the pressure down and the cooker safe.
Caution: Never turn the safety window facing the user. CAUTION:
If you notice steam coming out of the safety window or the sealing ring is compressed, stop heating immediately and remove the cooker from the stove. Let the pressure cooker to cool down. Do not use the pressure cooker before it is repaired by a qualified technician.
Sealing ring:
The sealing ring is made of special materials so that it can keep its safety properties.
CAUTION! You should only use our own original sealing
rings as else the safety system will not work.

4. Fill the pressure cooker with 1/2 cold water, close lid for heating till the steam is emitted from the
pressure regulator valve. Remove the pressure cooker from the stove and leave it standing closed for about 10 minutes in order to exclude the smell of new cooker. Open the lid when the cooker cool down. Move the water and make the cooker clean and dry.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE PRESSURE COOKER
1. Checking the valves and rubber seal:
Before the first and also each use, it is necessary to check the cleanliness and function of the safety valve, pressure regulator valve as well as sealing ring.
Before each use, check and make sure that the safety valve, the pressure regulation valve are
not obstructed in any way and nothing prevents their proper operation. If any of them is blocked by food debris or other objects, clean thoroughly with water and liquid detergent, use a thin object (such us a small stick) to take away the food debris or other objects that are causing them to block and make sure the water can pass fluently.
Before each use, make sure that the safety valve and pressure regulation valve, can move and
function freely without any problem. Turn the lid upside down to check properly.
Before each use, make sure that the safety valve, the pressure regulation valve and the sealing
ring are in good condition and does not show any sign of damage or malfunction.
If the safety valve, or pressure regulation valve or sealing ring is broken or damaged in any way,
or shows any sign of malfunction, it should be replaced with a genuine spare part. Do not use the pressure cooker until you replace the problematic parts with genuine spare part. Contact the dealer you purchased the pressure cooker for repair or replacement
Before each use make sure that all parts of the pressure cooker are
properly installed.
7
2. Opening of the pressure cooker (before use):
Open the lid of the cooker by following these steps.
To open the lid, rotate clockwise until the two clamps are at the outer most position.
Remove the lid from the main body of the pressure cooker.
3. Filling the pressure cooker with food:
Place the ingredients (according to you recipe) in the pressure cooker and make sure to follow the below instructions concerning the proper quantities etc. Inside the main body of the pressure cooker you will find a capacity indication scale which will help you fill the cooker with the right amount of food.
Never exceed the specified minimum fill capacity “min.” (= liquid + cooked food). Never exceed the specified maximum fill capacity “max.” (= liquid + cooked food). Do not fill the cooker beyond 2/3 of its capacity. When cooking foodstuffs which expand during
cooking, such as rice or dehydrated vegetables, do not fill the cooker to more than half of its
capacity. Never use the pressure cooker in its pressurized mode for deep or shallow frying of food. Don’t put soda directly for cooking or overfull oil and wine. Don’t use pressure cooker to cook apple juice, wheat, bean…etc, which can make a lot of
bubbles, cause leakage and can block the valves. Pay more attention if you can’t prevent cooking
this kind of food. Do not use the pressure cooker without adding any water, this would seriously damage it. The cooker must be filled with at least 1/4 L water or other liquids to make steam when using the
pressure cooker. Never cook without the proper water amount and always ensure that the liquid
in the pressure cooker does not evaporate completely as this will cause burning of food and
serious damages to the cooker and stove.
4. Closing the pressure cooker:
Close the lid of the pressure cooker by following these steps.
Rotate the lid knob anti-clockwise until the knob aligns with the panel
Make sure it is aligned to the panel
5. Setting the cooking pressure:
Position :
Release the steam
Position :
Cooking pressure is set to 50 kPa
Position :
Cooking pressure is set to 90 kPa
8
6. Placing the pressure cooker on the stove:
Place the pressure cooker on an appropriate heating source by following the important guidelines below:
Always move and carry the pressure cooker by holding both handles. Never carry the pressure cooker by holding only one side.
Always place the pressure cooker on a stable stove that is installed on a flat and stable surface.
The diameter of the stove should not be bigger than the diameter of the bottom of the pressure
cooker.
If you are using gas stove, make sure that the flames do not extend up the sides of the pressure cooker main body.
7. Building pressure and expelling steam:
Set the stove power to the highest level so as to heat the cooker immediately.
Shortly after the heating starts, you will notice a small leak of steam from the safety valve, which
is normal.
When pressure builds up within the pressure cooker, the safety valve is raised so that its red head is now visible through the hole on the small handle upper part, while the lid "locks".
When you notice that steam is released from the pressure regulation valve, you must adjust the stove power in lower level.
If the pressure regulation valve stopped emitting steam, you should increase the stove power.
If the pressure regulation valve releases steam very quickly you should reduce the stove power.
When the first white line of the instruction cap is visible that means the pressure in the cooker is
close to working pressure 1, when the second line is visible that means the pressure is close to working pressure 2.
If you see the red line of the instruction cap when you are cooking, that means the pressure in the cooker is too high, please stop heating the to check fault immediately.
8. Calculate cooking time:
Start counting and calculate the cooking time when you notice the release of steam from the pressure regulation valve.
9
9. Finish cooking:
When cooking time is completed, turn off the power of the stove and place the pressure cooker on a stable, dry and flat surface or an insulation base.
10. Depressurize the pressure cooker:
You have 3 ways to depressurize the pressure cooker. The method you will choose depends on the food type.
For foodstuffs which tent to foam, or expand during cooking, such as rice or dehydrated
vegetables and food with sensitive skin, you should not choose any method that reduces the pressure quickly, as this could cause the food to be ejected or the peel to burst.
When the steam is released, you must make sure that hands, face and body are not near or
opposite the pressure regulator valve to avoid scalds.
1st method:
"Quick depressurizing with the pressure regulator button"
Set the pressure regulator button into position in order to let the steam go out. Make sure all steam is out of the cooker.
Rotate the knob to the desired position by lifting it and turning it. CAUTION do not touch with your fingers the exhaust hole when the steam is released.
2nd method:
"Quick depressurizing under running water "
Place the pressure cooker in the dry sink and let cold water to run over the side of the lid and on the side of the main body (not over the lid handle or any valves) until the safety valve is completely down.
Set the pressure regulator button into position in order to release any residual pressure.
3rd method:
"Let the pressure cooker cool off"
Take advantage of the residual energy in the pressure cooker and shortly before the end of the cooking time take the cooker off the stove and just let it gradually cool down until the safety valve is completely down.
Set the pressure regulator button into position in order to release any residual pressure.
This method is used especially for foods that need longer cooking time.
10
11. Opening the pressure cooker (after use):
Making sure the depressurizing of the pressure cooker is done correctly and open the lid by following the steps below.
To open the lid, rotate clockwise until the two clamps are at the outer most position.
Remove the lid from the main body of the pressure cooker.
Never force open the pressure cooker. Do not open before making sure that its internal
pressure has completely dropped.
When cooking doughy food, gently shake the cooker before opening the lid to avoid food
ejection.
After cooking meat with skin (e.g.ox tongue) which may swell under the effect of pressure,
do not prick the meat while the skin is swollen; you might be scalded.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Make sure to clean the pressure cooker before the first use and also each time after using it, by following the instructions below:
Wash the pressure cooker with warm, soapy water using a soft dish cloth.
Do not use sharp objects, hard brushes, abrasive or caustic cleaners, cleaners that contain
chlorine or oven cleaners to clean the pressure cooker.
Rinse thoroughly to remove any soapy residue.
Do not allow the pressure cooker or any accessory to soak for long periods of time in the sink.
Dry the pressure cooker and the accessories thoroughly with a clean and soft towel.
The main body can be cleaned in the dishwasher machine (without its lid) but it is advisable to
rinse off any acidic food before loading to prevent any corrosion. Always remove and hand-dry the main body as soon as the wash cycle has finished, as the damp atmosphere can cause stains and damages.
Sometimes because of the extreme hardness of water, some white spots may form on the bottom of the item. These spots can easily be removed using vinegar.
Do not put the lid or any accessory in dish washer machine. The lid should always be cleaned by
hand.
Do not put the pressure cooker or any accessory in disinfector machine.
Cleaning and maintenance of the safety valve and pressure control valve:
The safety valve should be cleaned regularly after each use.
For detailed cleaning, you can disassemble the safety valve from the lid first. After washing it
you should reassemble it in the original position.
The pressure regulation valve and vent-pipe should be cleaned regularly after each use.
11
Loosen the lock nut to release the vent-pipe and remove the pressure regulation valve from the lid. After washing them you should reassemble them in the original position by following the reverse procedure.
Cleaning and maintenance of the sealing ring:
The sealing ring should be cleaned regularly after each use.
Remove the sealing ring from the lid and wash it with warm, soapy water using a soft dish cloth.
Rinse thoroughly to remove any soapy residue.
Dry and wipe the sealing ring thoroughly with a clean and soft towel.
After washing and drying it, please insert it in its original position inside the lid.
Before each use, make sure the sealing ring is in good condition and does not show any sign of
damage or malfunction. If the sealing ring is showing cracks and wrinkles or is becoming more rigid (has started to turn in to brown color), it should be directly replaced with genuine spare part. Do not use the pressure cooker until you replace the problematic parts with genuine spare part.
STORING
The pressure cooker should only be stored indoors in a dry place away from moisture and high or very low temperature and avoid direct exposure under ultraviolet.
Always make sure the pressure cooker is clean and dry before storing it.
While storing the pressure cooker do not put or lock the lid on the main body. Please turn the lid
upside down and place it on the top of the main body.
