Product Description
Vibra-TITE 140 is a high strength, anaerobic thread
locking compound. Vibra-TITE 140 is designed for
the p ermanent locking o f t hreaded f asteners. T he
product pe rforms on a luminum, s teel, pl ated
fasteners, stainless steel, a nd s pecial alloy parts.
Vibra-TITE 1 40 e xhibits good te mperature s tability
and is solvent resistant.
Typical Applications
Vibra-TITE 140 w ill lo ck a nd s eal la rge f asteners.
Vibra-TITE 1 40 is used i n applications where shock
and vibration may cause the fastener to loosen.

Ensure p arts ar e cl ean, d ry and f ree f rom o il an d
grease.
Compatible Primers
Primers such as Vibra-TITE Excel 611 (Primer N) or
Excel 612 (Primer T) can be used to speed the fixture
time of the adhesive. Fixture times can improve by as
much as 50%. The use of primers can result in lower
strength a nd performance s hould b e tested af ter f ull
cure.

General Information
Storage
Product should be stored in a cool and dry location at
temperatures b etween 1 4°F (-10°C) t o 86°F ( 30°C).
Shelf l ife is 2 years from date of manufacture when
stored at 72±8°F (22±4°C).
Note
Vibra-TITE 140 is r ecommended for t hreaded
components un der 1" i n di ameter. I t i s c olor c oded
red and on ce c ured, s eals a nd v ibration pr oofs t he
assembly giving controlled breakaway and prevailing
torques. Product conforms to MIL-S-46163A, ASTM
D-5363, NSF.

case o f co ntact with t he skin, wash i mmediately
