VIA VT310-DP Series Overview
The VIA VT310-DP mainboard is a dual processor Mini-ITX system board featuring the world’s smallest
dual 1GHz VIA Eden™-N NanoBGA processors with the integrated VIA PadLock Hardware Security
Suite and VIA PowerSaver 3.0 technology, as well as an impressive array of I/O features and high speed
storage and connectivity options. The mainboard is based on the VIA CN400 chipset featuring an
integrated 128-bit 2D/3D UniChrome Pro IGP graphics engine and hardware MPEG-2 decoding and
MPEG-4 acceleration, up to 200MHz CPU front side bus, up to 1.5GB of DDR266/333/400 SDRAM
memory controller with two DIMM slots, 1066MB/s Ultra V-Link to interface to the VT8237R South Bridge
and further enhanced with VIA Vinyl™ Six-TRAC 6-channel AC’97 Audio.
The latest high-bandwidth storage and connectivity is supported with a one Gigabit Ethernet port, dual
10/100Mbps Ethernet ports, one PCI slot for expandability options, ATA-133, two Serial ATA with RAID &
JBOD support, up to four USB 2.0 ports and Keyboard/Mouse and two COM ports. System management
features include WMX protocol support, ACPI 2.0, console redirection, remote power cycling, and an
array of hardware monitoring capabilities.
The VIA VT310-DP is fully compatible with Microsoft® and Linux operating systems and is available in a
variety of configurations, including the fanless VIA Eden™-N NanoBGA processor for silent system
designs.
