The EMIO-3430 Em-IO card supports one PC card slot and three optional
wireless modules. The PC card slot supports PCMCIA or CardBus expan­sion cards. The three optional wireless modules provide support for

802.11b/g Wireless LAN, GPS, and Bluetooth.

In addition, the EMIO-3430 offers HD Audio quality via a built-in 6W ste­reo audio power amplifier. The EMIO-3430 is an ideal solution for traffic,
delivery and fleet management, as well as KIOSK and wireless POI applica­tions.

Remove the six screws from the EITX-3000 as indicated in the picture.

Replace the screws with the six hex spacers.

Align the Em-IO connector on the bottom side of the EMIO-3430 with
the Em-IO connector on the EITX-3000.

Secure the module with the six screws from the EITX-3000.

The GPS kit should include the GPS module, two screws, one board-to­board cable, one mini coaxial cable, one washer, one nut, and one
external antenna.

The optional GPS module includes a Leadtek LR9102 20-channel GPS
receiver.

Align the mounting holes and secure the GPS module to the EMIO-

3430.

Connect the module to the board and make sure that nothing
obstructs the mounting holes on the top side of the hex spacers.

Then insert the board-to-board cable with the contacts facing down,
as shown in the picture.

Attach the small end of the mini coaxial cable to the mini RF connector
on the GPS module.

Insert the large end of the mini coaxial cable into the front face plate.
Secure it in place by inserting the washer and then locking the washer
in place with the nut.

The WiFi kit should include the WiFi module, two screws, one board­to-board cable, one mini coaxial cable, one washer, one nut, and one
external antenna.

The optional WLAN module includes a VT6656 WLAN controller and
provides support for 802.11 b/g standards.

The Bluetooth kit should include the Bluetooth module, one screw, and
one board-to-board cable.

The optional Bluetooth module includes a printed antenna and uses
the Qcom QBT400UB 01P Bluetooth controller. The Bluetooth module
is classified as a Class 2 device with an effective range of 10 meters. It
supports multi-point operation and a full 7-slave piconet.

Ensure that the contacts on the cable are facing down before inserting.
