WARNING! Do not alter or modify your VersaCarpet
in any way. Use only replacement parts authorized by Legend Brands. Modifications or use of unap­proved parts could create a hazard and will void your warranty. Contact your local authorized distrib­utor for assistance.
WARNING! Electric shock hazard, rotating head, hot surface hazards. Unplug unit before opening cover for cleaning or servicing.
WARNING! Unit must be grounded.
Keep motor and wiring dry. Keep out of standing wa­ter and do not use in area likely to be subject to wa­ter intrusion. Do not expose to rain, water or snow.
Insert three-prong plugs on power cords into a GFCI
outlet. Do not use adapter. Never cut off third prongs.
FIRE HAZARD
Keep away from open flames and heat sources.
Do not use or store where vapors from gasoline, sol-
vents, thinners or other flammable materials may be present.
WARNING! Unplug unit before cleaning or servicing.
Turn off unit and unplug before lifting.
Handle the unit carefully. Always operate the unit on
a stable, level surface. Do not drop, throw, or place where it could fall. Rough treatment can damage the unit, and may create a hazardous condition or void the warranty.
Inspect the power cords before use. If cord is dam­aged, do not use. Always grasp the plug (not the cord) to unplug.
Use only with cords supplied with the unit, or 12 gauge (or larger) cords.
The unit must be plugged into two 15 amp 115V/60 Hz circuits.
Do not attempt to repair the unit. For Authorized Service Centers, call VersaClean Service at 800­932-3030.

TOOLS REQUIRED: 3 mm hex drive bit, 10 mm wrench,

posts. Insert tubes over posts and line up the holes. With tubes in posi­tion, reinsert two bolts supplied into either the uppe r or lower holes and tighten until they are snug. For operator comfort , handle may be fixed in one of two positions.

NOTE: Locate the Accessory/Spare Parts Kit in product packag­ing. It contains two sets of impellers and gaskets for servicing pumpout pump. Set aside for future use.

2. Flush system lines. Unit may contain residual antifreeze
from the factory. Flush internal lines with fresh water prior to use. DO NOT drain used antifreeze on the ground or into storm drains. Dis-
pose of antifreeze only in an approved location. Observe local, state, and federal laws when disposing antifreeze.
THE VC700 IS NOW READY FOR CONNECTING WATER SUPPLY.
A. Flush cleaning head solution lines. Set unit up for operation (see “Setup for Cleaning below), except leave cleaning solution intake tubes disconnected and direct pumpout dis­charge hose into a bucket or suitable drain. Op­erate unit for a few minutes on a hard, water­proof surface until discharge runs clear. B. Flush accessory solution line. Set unit up for accessory operation (see “Cleaning with Ac­cessory Tool/Upholstery Tool” below). Place accessory tool end in a bucket of clean water and operate the VC700 until discharge runs clear.
