MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS - TRIPOD:
The included adjustable tripod is made specically for the Fireeld spotting scope and ts directly onto the
tripod base incorporated into the scope’s design. To mount the spotting scope to its tripod:
1) Locate the spotting scope’s mounting base (8) by nding the rectangular extension on the bottom of the
scope. Carefully turn the scope over so that its underside is facing upward. In the center of the mounting base
is a threaded like inlet (9) in which the tripod’s mounting screw will be inserted.
2) Next, examine the tripod. To nd its mounting base (10), locate the rectangular piece at the top of the
tripod that is the exact size and shape of the scope’s mounting base; a hole is located at the center. Through
this hole, insert the tripod mounting screw (11) so that the threaded end is pointing upward.
3) After the mounting screw is securely inserted into the tripod’s mounting base, insert the threaded end of
the mounting screw into the corresponding inlet in the scope’s mounting base and turn the mounting screw
clockwise until tightened.
4) To disassemble, turn the tripod’s mounting screw counter-clockwise until the threaded end comes loose
of the scope’s mounting base.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before using the Fireeld Spotting Scope, be sure that the eyepiece and objective lens covers have been removed.
To remove the eyepiece cover, simply turn counterclockwise until it comes free from the eyepiece (5). To
reattach, simply place the cover back over the eyepiece and turn clockwise until secure. To remove the objective
lens cover, grab it by the edges and gently pull away from the objective lens (1). To reattach, line up the cover so
that it will t into the corresponding grooves and place back over the objective lens.

SUNSHADE
The Fireeld Spotting Scope’s sunshade (2) is designed to keep the glare of the sun away from the user’s eye and
out of the eld of view. To extend the sunshade, nd the black plastic ring located around the scope’s objective
lens (1) and gently pull outward. To remove, push the plastic ring inward until it is ush with the scope’s body.
FOCUS
To focus your Fireeld Spotting Scope, follow these instructions:
1) Find the focusing knob (4) that is located between the objective lens and the eyepiece.
2) Look through the eyepiece (5) and nd an object in the distance to focus on.
3) To bring the object into view, turn the focusing knob to the left or right until the object’s outline is crisp.
Turning the knob counter-clockwise is best for focusing on objects at close range while clockwise is effective at
longer distances.
MAGNIFICATION ADJUSTMENT
The Scope’s powerful magnication has capabilities at both short and long distances. To adjust:
1) Closely examine the eyepiece. At the base of the eyepiece, there is a small silver dot that indicates the
magnication at which it is currently set to. Above this is a black ring that indicates the magnication setting
(6).
2) To change magnication, look through the eyepiece and simply rotate the magnication ring (7) until the
desired setting is achieved.
3) Once you are at the desired magnication, bring the image into focus.

MAINTENANCE
To ensure the brilliance, clarity and long life of the Fireeld Spotting Scopes, keep all optical surfaces free of dirt,
dust, oil, grease, and other contaminates. When cleaning the lenses, remove larger particles with an optical cleaning
brush or dry, compressed air. Subsequently clean the lens by breathing on it to form a layer of condensation
and wipe it away using a soft, moist cloth. It is recommended that the included lens cleaning cloth be used for
this function. The included micro-ber lens cloth is perfect for cleaning all highly sensitive lens surfaces, including
objective and ocular lenses. Please use the special lens cleaning cloth for cleaning all highly sensitive lens surfaces
only! In the event of hard-to-remove dirt that can not be effectively cleaned from the optical surfaces, please
consult an optics specialist or the manufacturer. Any attempt to disassemble the scope, or damage to the scope
from improper handling, may void the warranty. For the body of the scope, gently wipe clean using a moist cloth.
DO NOT use the lens cleaning cloth for this task.
STORAGE
Store the spotting scope in its included carrying bag in a dry, warm, well-ventilated room away from any heating
devices, as well as direct sunlight. Avoid storing the scope in environments that may be subject to sudden and /
or extreme temperature changes, or are prone to excess amounts of dust. Such exposure may cause irreparable
damage to the scope. During extended stays in extremely humid or moisture-rich regions, it is best to store the
scope in an air-tight receptacle along with a moisture-absorbing agent.
