Read and save these instructions before installing the unit.
Compliance with the manual instructions provides reliable service of the unit during
all the service life period. Keep this manual available throughout the entire
operating period. You may need to re-read it for your information.
This user's manual contains technical description and data
sheet, operation manual, installation guidelines and warranty
conditions for the axial fan Silenta-S series designed for exhaust
ventilation of small and medium-sized premises heated during
winter time.
The fans are made of white plastic and the front panel is available
in white and metallic colour.
The fan modification may include a protecting insect screen.
The delivery set comprises:
1. Fan - 1 pce;
2. Screws and dowels - 4 pcs;
3. User's manual;
4. Packing.
The fans are designed for connection to 100, 125 and 150 mm
air ducts.
The fans are equipped with low-voltage fans.
"L" model is fitted with a ball bearing motor.
"T" model is fitted with a regulated timer adjustable between
2 and 30 minutes.
"TH" model is fitted with a humidity sensor with operating
threshold from 60% to 90%.
"TP" model is fitted with a motion sensor (only Silenta-M series).
"V" model is fitted with a built-in switch.
"K" model is fitted with a backdraft damper.
Due to the constant improv ements the construction of
some models may slightly differ from those described
in this manual.
The fans are mounted to walls, ceilings, in ventilation shaft
or round air duct horizontally or vertically by four screws
and dowels (fig. 1).
Mounting sequence for Silenta-S is shown in fig. 2-10 and
the wiring diagram is shown in
The fans are powered by AC 220-240V, 50 Hz single phase
current and designed for continuous operation always
connected to the electric mains.
Air flow direction must match the direction of the arrow
on the fan casing.
The fans are designed for operation at the ambient
temperature range from +0°С up to +45°С.
Ingress protection rating IP 34.
Store the fan in manufacturer’s packaging in a ventilated
room at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C and relative
humidity not more than 80% at +25°C.
The fan surfaces require regular cleaning from dust and
dirt. See the cleaning procedure at fig. 31-36 for Silenta-S
fan series .
Clean the fan surfaces with a soft cloth wetted a solution of
water and mild detergent solution.
Avoid liquid dripping on the motor while cleaning the fan.
Wipe the surfaces dry after cleaning.

EN
The fan with timer starts operation as control voltage is
supplied to LT input terminal. As control voltage is off the fan
continues operating within the time period set by the regulated
timer from 2 to 30 minutes.
Adjust the timer operating time by means of rotating the
potentiometer T adjusting screw clockwise to increase the
delay time or counter-clockwise to decrease it.
The fan equipped with delay timer and humidity sensor
starts operation either as control voltage is supplied to LT input
terminal or as indoor humidity level exceeds the pre-set value
regulated between 60% and 90%.
As control voltage is off or as indoor humidity level drops below
the pre-set level the fan continues operating within the time
period set by the regulated timer from 2 to 30 minutes.
Adjust the timer operating time by means of rotating the
potentiometer T adjusting screw clockwise to increase or
counter-clockwise to decrease the delay time and
potentiometer H adjusting screw clockwise to increase or
counter-clockwise to decrease the humidity threshold value.
Warning! The timer circuit is under voltage.
Adjusting and regulating operations are allowed only after
power is off.
While adjusting the screws avoid excessive efforts to the screw
driver.
The wiring diagram for connection of the light to the fan timer
controlled by a common switch is shown at fig. 15 and 25
(S - external swich).
After light is off the fan continues operating within the time
period set by the regulated timer from 2 to 30 minutes.
Any electric connections, adjustment, servicing and repair
works are allowed only after the unit is disconnected from
power mains.
Mounting and maintenance are allowed for duly qualified
electricians with valid electrical work permit after careful study
of the present user's manual.
The single-phase power grid must comply with the acting
local electrical norms and standards.
The fixed electrical wiring must be equipped with an
automatic circuit breaker.
The fan must be connected to the power grid through the
automatic circuit breaker QF integrated into the fixed
wiring system.
The gap between the breaker contacts on all poles must
be not less than 3 mm.
Before installation check the fan for any visible damages
of impeller and casing. The casing internals must be free
of any foreign objects which can damage the impeller blades.
Misuse of the device or any unauthorized modification is
not allowed.
The unit is not to be used by children and persons with
reduced physical, mental or sensory capacities, without
proper practical experience or expertise, unless they are
controlled or instructed on the unit operation by the person(s)
responsible for their safety.
Do not leave the children unattended to avoid their playing
with the device.
Take steps to prevent ingress of smoke, carbon monoxide
and other combustion products into the room through open
chimney flues or other fire-protection devices.
Sufficient air supply must be provided for proper combustion
and exhaust of gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel
burning equipment to prevent backdrafting.
