READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
THIS FAN MUST NOT BE USED IN A BATHROOM, SHOWER OR
SWIMMING POOL AREA.
Do NOT handle the appliance with wet hands.
Do NOT use the appliance in workshops or rooms where excessive dust is generated or present.
Do NOT locate the heater immediately below a fixed socket outlet.
Do NOT use the heater outdoors
When this appliance is used by or near young children or infirm persons, close supervision is necessary.
While using the heater, make sure that the electric lead does not come into contact with the body of the unit.
The front grille may become very hot if the heater is used over extended periods of time. Never place clothing or similar objects over the heater. Covering the heater may cause a fire.
In your own interests place the heater at least 50cm away from flammable objects. Ensure that the air intake and outlets are unobstructed at all times.

Connection to Power Supply
Ensure that your Vent-Axia heater is connected to the same power supply as shown on the rating label. This fan heater is double insulated and therefore does not require earthing.

Fan heater Operation
1. Make sure selector switch is in the “O” off position and plug the appliance in.
2. Turn the selector switch into the desired position (Fan, Low or High) heat settings.
3. To set the thermostat to the temperature required, turn the thermostat control clockwise to its upper limit The heater will now switch on and the power indicator will light. Allow the heater to run for a period of time until you feel the desired room temperature has been reached.
4. Then turn the thermostat knob anti-clockwise until you hear a click, the desired temperature is then set and the heater is in the stand-by mode.
5. When the ambient temperature drops lower than the setting the heater will restart automatically to maintain the temperature.
6. Always turn the selector switch to “O” off position and unplug the heater after use.
Over-heating protection
In case of overheating, the thermal cutoff and thermal fuse protection turns the appliance off automatically. If overheating occurs, turn selector switch to ”O”, off position, remove the plug from the socket and let the appliance cool down for approximately 30 minutes. Then plug in and switch on the appliance. If this recurs, contact an electrically qualified/competent person to carry out an inspection of the heater.
Maintenance and Care
1. The fan only needs regular outside cleaning.
2. Before cleaning, turn power off unplug and wait for the appliance to cool.
3. Clean the outside of the heater with a damp cloth or duster.
4. Clean the air inlet and outlet opening regularly with a vacuum cleaner, using the brush attachment.
5. Do not use detergents or chemicals to clean the surface of the fan heater.
6. If you do not intend on using the heater over an extended period of time, make sure it is protected from excessive dust and dirt.

The Vent-Axia Guarantee
Applicable only to products installed and used in the United Kingdom. For details of the Guarantee outside of the United Kingdom contact your local supplier.
Vent-Axia guarantees this product for one year from the date of purchase against faulty material or workmanship. In the event of any part being found to be defective, the product will be repaired, or at the Company’s discretion the product will be replaced without charge, provided that the product:
1). Has been installed and used in accordance with the instruction given with each unit.
2). The electricity supply complies with the rating label.
3). Has not been misused, neglected or damaged.
4). Has not been modified or repaired by any person not authorised to do so by Vent-Axia.
IF CLAIMING UNDER THE TERMS OF THE GUARANTEE
Please return the complete product, carriage paid to your original supplier by post or in person. Please ensure that it is adequately packed and accompanied by a letter clearly marked ‘Guarantee Claim’ stating the nature of the fault and providing proof of the date and source of purchase.
