UTILITY EXHAUST FAN
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Congratulations on your purchase of the MaxxAir™ Utility Exhaut Fan. With proper care we are sure that you will enjoy many years of use.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Please read these instructions carefully before beginning installation.
2. This fan is rated for 120V/60hz installations.
3. The plug on this fan is equipped with a ground. Do not circumvent it.
4. Do not attempt to disassemble this fan.
5. This fan is designed for indoor use only.
6. This fan should not be installed near water.
7. This fan should not be submerged in water.
8. This fan is intended for general ventilating use only. Do not use it to exhaust hazardous or explosive materials or vapors.
CAUTION: This fan has an unguarded impeller. DO NOT USE IN LOCATIONS READILY ACCESSIBLE TO HUMANS OR ANIMALS.
INSTALLATION
Step 1: Determine the location to install the fan.
a) Must be a minimum of 1 ft from any adjacent wall or
ceiling.
b) Must be a minimum of 2.1m USA and 2.5m Canada
from the oor to the lowest moving part of the fan.
c) CAUTION: If installing into an existing wall, insure that
there are no hidden utilities or electrical wiring in this location.

TOOLS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION
• Screwdriver
• Electric drill
• 1/8" drill bit
• Wire cutters
• UL approved wire nuts/connectors
Step 3: Remove the grill from the base unit.
Step 4: Position and secure the fan. Standing on the
inside of the structure you are ventilating, insert the fan into the cutout and secure to the wall using the screws and plastic anchors that are provided.
Step 5: Reattach the grill to the fan and plug the unit in. Pull the chain to cycle the fan on and o.
Step 2: Cut the opening into which the fan is to be installed. Using the chart below, determine the appro-
priate cutout size for your model number fan. Measure and cut out the opening for the fan.
Maintenance of Your Fan
Before conducting any maintenance on your fan ensure that all electrical power to the fan is turned o. Disassemble the fan for cleaning and/or maintenance.
