1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Although all main controls have their own characteristics, they share some common modes, such as ventilation in low speed, ventilation in high speed, etc. Following are what we suggest regarding the use of operating modes of you main wall control:
Low speed ventilation: For normal daily operation. High speed ventilation: Use occasionaly, when excess pollutants and humidity are produced
(parties, odors, smoke, etc.) Recirculation: Select this mode when you deem the inside air is too dry in heating
season, or too humid during cooling season. In this mode, the unit stops exchanging with the outdoors and recirculates indoor air.
Intermittent: Select this mode when you are away for a few days, or when you (also called 20 min/h) deem the indoor air is too dry in heating season, or too humid during cooling season. In this mode, the unit is OFF for 40 minutes per hour and ventilates at minimum speed the remaining 20 minutes of the hour.
Dehumidistat An air exchanger is not a dehumidifier, neither a humidifier, but it can exhaust excess humidity produced by human activities such as showers, cooking, parties, etc. During the heating season, air from outdoors is drier than indoor air; when enabling the dehumidistat, if the relative humidity (RH) in the house exceeds the RH setting chosen, the ventilation unit will exchange in high speed until the target indoor RH setting is reached. Select a target RH between 30% and 55%. When outdoor relative humidity is high (e.g. in summer), turn off the dehumidistat.

Do not select a temperature below -20°C (-4°F). This could lead to excessive dryness in the air causing discomfort for the occupants.
It is possible (and normal) to experience condensation on your windows when drastic changes in temperature happen (for example: -5°C [23°F] to -20°C [-4°F]). In that case, we suggest to wait a few days to allow the situation to stabilize.

__).
• Check the compatibility with the ventilation unit (refer to chart included with the control).
• Ensure that the color coded wires have been
connected to their appropriate place.
• Inspect every wire and replace any that are damaged.
• Ensure the wires are correctly connected.
• Reset the wall control
(see Wall Control Reset Procedure below).
• Reset the wall control
(see Wall Control Reset Procedure below).
• Power supply problem between the unit and the wall
control. May be caused by wall control cable excess length. Contact your installer.
NOTE: At its very start-up or after a power failure,
it takes some minutes before the outdoor temperature appears on screen. The delay duration depends on which operation mode the wall control is set. The shortest delay is obtained when the wall control is set on MIN or MAX in VENT Mode.
• The outdoor temperature is not shown when the
ventilation unit is in recirculation mode, this is normal.
ALTITUDE AND PLATINUM RESET PROCEDURE
The wall control must be reset if it was previously connectedto another ventilation unit. To perform the reset:
Press simultaneously on both arrow keys for 8 seconds. Unplug the ventilation unit for 30 seconds. Plug back the ventilation unit in power source.
