System: Flashing when the Extendá is starting up.
Solid indicates a successful start-up.
Battery: Turns on when battery power is low.
Battery charging: Orange when the battery is charging.
Green when the battery is fully charged.

CHARGING
Extendá Battery Charging
Use the Micro-B USB cable to connect the Extendá to a power
source, such as a USB wall charger or powered USB port.
Charging Other Devices
You can charge devices, such as a smartphone, by
using a compatible USB cable to connect your mobile
device to the USB port on the Extendá.
EXTENDÁ SETUP
1. Download the Extendá app
Download the Extendá app from your device's app store.
The Extendá app is available for iOS® 8.0 and above,
Android™ 4.0 and above, Android TV 4.0 and above,
Windows
0.0 and above. For a full list, visit vellogear.com.
2. Connect the Extendá to your camera
Use a compatible USB cable to connect the Extendá’s
USB port to your camera’s AV / USB port. Turn on the
Extendá and your camera. For Sony cameras, set the USB
connection mode to PC Remote in the camera's menu.
Note: Some cameras use specific cables for this
operation, which are not supplied.
3. Connect to Extendá Wi-Fi hotspot
After turning on the Extendá, the system status indicator light
will turn solid green. In your device settings, connect to the
Extendá Wi-Fi hotspot [Extendá-xxxx].
4. Launch the Extendá app
Start the Extendá app from your device.

EXTENDÁ APP
Settings: Access the camera’s exposure settings such as
shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and exposure compensation.
Browse: Access the pictures saved on the camera.
Shutter Button: Release the camera’s shutter.
Live View (LV): View what the camera sees in real time.
Auto View: Displays picture after each exposure.

FIRMWARE UPDATE
The Extendá mobile app automatically checks for firmware
upgrades. If new firmware is available, the Extendá will start the
upgrade wizard. Follow the instructions provided by the wizard
to upgrade the firmware. For PC and Mac, visit vellogear.com.
