MOUNTING THE CAMERA
There are ve mounting holes on the bracket’s camera platform. Place your camera on the platform and align your camera’s mounting socket with the mounting hole that best centers your camera on the bracket. Attach the camera to the QuickDraw bracket using the 1/4”-20 mounting knob. Tighten the knob until rmly connected.
MOUNTING THE FLASH
The QuickDraw Bracket is equipped with an accessory-shoe mount which can be used to mount your ash unit or TTL cord. To mount your ash, loosen the red knob on the cold-shoe, insert your ash, and tighten the knob. Unless you are using a wireless ash system, you will need to connect your ash to the camera with the appropriate cord. You may use cable ties or an optional cord wrap to secure the cord alongside the bracket.
To attach separate ash heads such as Norman or Lumedyne, or the Nikon SC-28 and SC-29 off-camera shoe cords, remove the cold shoe mount from the ash arm and use the included mounting screw to mount the ash head to the bracket.
Thank you for choosing the Vello QuickDraw Bracket. The QuickDraw puts you in control of your lighting whether you’re shooting horizontally or vertically, and allows you to switch between the two orientations with just a quick ip of the rotating arm.
Please follow the instructions below to get the most out of your QuickDraw Bracket and to prevent improper installation which may cause damage to your equipment.
USING THE BRACKET FOR HORIZONTAL SHOOTING
Position the ash arm so that it is raised directly above the top of the camera’s body with the ash mount centered above the lens when the camera is held horizontally.
USING THE BRACKET FOR VERTICAL SHOOTING
Rotate the ash arm 180° to center the ash above your lens when the camera is held vertically.
