Introduction
Thank you for choosing Vello and congratulations on your new BG-C7 batter y grip purchase. Enjoy the many benefi ts that a bat tery grip offer s, such as extended shooting time and more control and comfor t when shooting in a vertical (portrait) orient ation.
The Vello BG-C7 is compatible with the Canon T 3 DSLR camera. The BG-C7 acce pts up to two C anon LP-E10 rechargeable bat ter ies . The BG- C7 is equipped with a n alternate shutter-release button that trig ger s the camer a via the included shut ter release cable for shooting in a vertical posi tion.

Precautions
1. The BG -C7 should only be used with compatible
devices specified in this manual.
2. Only use with batte ries recommended in this
manual.
3. Cover the power terminals with the cont act cap
when the BG -C 7 is not in use. This prevents elec trical shor ts caused by met al objects touching the power ter minals.
4. If you notice s moke, an unusual smell or nois e from
the battery pack, discontinue use immediately. Remove the batteries and take the device to a Vello authorized reseller.
5. The BG- C7 does not have a powe r swi tch.
Instead, use the came ra power switch to tur n the power on or off.
6. The batter y level may not display properly if
batteries are inserted before mounting the grip.
7. Remove batteries from the grip when not in use.
8. Do not attempt to disassemble.
9. Avoid water or ex treme humidity and keep in a
dry and cool place.
10. Keep ou t of reach of children.

Tripod Socket
Allows the camer a to be mounted to a tripod when the grip is mounted.

Hand Strap Mount
Provides bottom mounting position for the use of a hand strap.

Shutter Release Button
Use as an alternate shutter release button for shooting in ver tical (portrait) mode.

Camera Battery Door Holder
Stores the camer a’s bat tery chamber door when the grip is mounted.

Attachment Wheel
Secures the grip to the camera’s tripod socket.

Anti-Slip Rubber Grip
Provides secure and comfor table gr ip when shooting ver tically.

Contact Cap
Protects metal power contact s. Keep this cap on when the grip is not connected to the camera.

Power Contacts
Slides into the camera’s bat ter y chamber and transmi ts power.

Battery Chamber Cover
Secures up to two Canon LP-E10 batteries.

Accept s sub mini connector of the shutter release cable.

ASSEMBLY
Attaching The Grip
1. Ensur e that the power is
turned off on the c amera.
2. Turn the camera upside
down and open the camera batte ry chamber. Pull gently at a 35º angle until the chamber door comes loose.

3. Slide the camera battery
chamber door into the BG- C7 chamber door holde r in order to avoid loss.

contacts into the camera’s batter y chamber as shown . Make sure to align the camera’s tripod socket with t he mounting screw.
When removing the grip, turn the camera power off, remove bat teries, and replace protective contact cap.
5. Rotate the attachment
wheel in the direction shown by the ar row until it is f irmly tightened.

used with only one batter y), turn the camer a on, and check the battery level on t he LCD or viewfinder.
