Introduction
Thank you for choosing Vello and congratulations on your new BG -C15 battery grip purchase. Enjoy the many benefits that a bat tery grip offers, such as extended shooting time and more control and comfort when shooting in a ver tical (por trait) orientation. The Vello BG-C15 is compatible with the Canon T7i and 7 7D DSLR camer as. It accepts up to two Canon LP-E17 rechargeable batteries and offers an alternate shutter-release but ton.
Please read through this entire manual before using the BG-C15 battery grip.

Precautions
1.
The BG-C15 should be used only with compatible devices specified in this manual.
2.
Use only with the batteries and battery holders recommended in this manual.
3.
If you notice smoke, noise, or an unusual smell from the bat tery pack, discontinue use immediately. Remove the bat teries, and t ake the device to a Vello authorized reseller.
4.
The bat tery level may not display properly if batteries are installed before mounting the grip.
5. Remove batteries from the grip w hen not in use.
6. Do not attempt to disassemble.
7.
Avoid exposing this produc t to water or ex treme humidity, and keep i t in a dry, cool place.
8. Keep out of reach of children.

Attaching the Grip
1.
Ensure that the camera power is tur ned off.
2.
Turn the camera upside down, and open its bat tery chamber door. Pull gently at a 45° angle until the chamber door detaches.
3.
Slide the camera bat tery chamber door into the BG - C15’ s chamber door holder for safekeeping.

Inser t the BG -C15’s power contacts into the camera’s battery cha mber as shown. Make sure to align the camer a’s tripod socket with the BG-C15’s mounting screw.
5.
Rotate the locking wheel counterclockwise until it is firmly tightened.
6.
Connect the shutter release cable fro m the cable relea se socket on the bat tery grip to the remote relea se por t on the camera body.

Inserting Batteries
1.
Twist the bat tery tray’s lock counterclockwise, and remove the battery tr ay from the grip.
2.
Make sure the contacts for the batteries match the battery slot contacts of either side of the battery tray.
3.
Inser t the batter y toward the contact s, and in between the locking flanges. Push down to lock the battery in place.

4.
Repeat s teps 2 and 3 for the second battery.
5.
Inser t and lock the batter y tray inside the batter y grip.
When removing the grip, turn off the camera power and remove the batteries.

Removing the Batteries
1.
Twist the bat tery tray lock counterclock wise, and remove the battery tray from the gr ip.

Remove either ba ttery by pulling up and lifting i t out of the battery tray.

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
This VELLO product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty provider’s responsibility with respect to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at the provider’s discretion, of any product that fails during normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended environment. Inoperability of the product or part(s) shall be determined by the warranty provider. If the product has been discontinued, the warranty provider reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality and function.
This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation or maintenance. This warranty provides you with specific legal rights, and you may also have additional rights that vary from state to state.
To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Vello Customer Service Department to obtain a return merchandise authorization (“RMA”) number, and return the defective product to Vello along with the RMA number and proof of purchase. Shipment of the defective product is at the purchaser’s own risk and expense.
