211 Rack-Mounting Panel Manual

Introduction

The Model 211-PS rack-mounting panel is a card
cage that can be used in a variety of control and
monitoring applications. It is equipped with a built
in switching power supply and has space for ten
modules. The basic Model 211 does not include
power supply. Most Vega circuit cards with 22-pin
and 44-pin edge connectors can be installed in the
panel. These cards include edge connectors and
guides for easy installation. The Model TB-10 ten
terminal barrier strip for convenient input/output
connections can be mounted adjacent to any
plug-in card.

Applications

The 211 Series panel mounts in standard 19-inch
(48cm) rack enclosures. It houses a variety of Vega
circuit cards which can be configured to perform a
wide assortment of command, control, monitoring,
status-reporting and general signaling functions.
The Model 360A universal mounting card is
available for mounting cards smaller than the
standard 3.6 in (9.1cm) by 4.5 in (ll.4cm) size used
in the 211. The Model 759 universal component
mounting card has solder pads or lC’s, transistors,
controls, etc.

The 211-PS includes an AC power supply and
primary power wiring to a terminal block.
Card-nest and other terminal-block wiring, card
installation and systems engineering are available
at extra cost. If the 211 panel was purchased as part
of a custom system, detailed wiring information
has been included in the system documentation.

requirements of performance, reliability and
compatibility. Technical assistance is offered by
correspondence of telephone should it be required
to assure your satisfaction.

Warranty (Limited)

All Telex Communications, Inc. manufactured
Vega signaling products are guaranteed against
malfunction due to defects in materials and
workmanship for three years, beginning at the date
of original purchase. If such a malfunction occurs,
the product will be repaired or replaced (at our
option) without charge during the three-year
period, if delivered to the Telex factory. Warranty
does not extend to damage due to improper repairs,
finish or appearance items, or malfunction due to
abuse or operation under other than the specified
conditions, nor does it extend to incidental or
consequential damages. Some states do not allow
the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so the above limitation
may not apply to you. This warranty gives the
customer specific legal rights, and there may be
other rights which vary from state to state.
