> DEVICE PLACEMENT IN YOUR VEHICLE
After this the procedure will only take a few seconds, unless you travel by plane or change country continuously. The GPS antenna is often located in the rear upper part of your device and must be directed towards the sky at all times. Placing your device in the seats will decrease the ability to fix a GPS signal.

> HOW TO CHARGE MY VECTOR?
When you first unpack your Vector, it may only have a small amount of power. We recommend that you charge the device for 5 hours prior to setting it up.
There are 3 charging options:
1
1- In car charger. Only use the one supplied with the Vector device. Other makes may not work or even damage your device.
2- USB Charger. As with the car charger only use the one supplied with the Vector. If you choose to charge your device using the USB cable you can update your device at the same time using the NDrive Agent available free of charge at www.ndrive.com.

3
3- Mains adaptor. Compatible main adaptors can be purchased from www.vector.com.ph.
If your Vector device appears not to be charging, please insist for a few more minutes. In some cases all electronic devices need to be charged for several minutes before they are able to operate.

> NAVIGATE / FIND
Navigate: If your Vector is receiving a valid GPS signal, the navigation mode will automatically be activated, allowing both visual & voice commands to guide you to your desired destination. If your Vector has no valid GPS signal (i.e. indoors with no direct line of sight to the satellite receivers) it will activate the demo mode that will switch to Navigation mode once the signal is received.
Find: This function allows you to “search” all the map contents such as streets, intersection of streets, and points of interest like malls, schools, churches, etc.
Tap on the Navigate icon & you will be presented with different options to find your destination.

> SET YOUR "HOME" LOCATION
You can now use Vector’s NDrive software to search the address of the location that you wish to set as "Home". Tap "Menu" , “ My
Menu
MENU
NDrive” , “Define Home” ,“Address” .
If you have maps from more than one country on your Vector, tap the flag in the top left hand corner of the screen & select the country you wish to search.
With NDrive, all text input can be simplified: Ex: To select a town or city enter the name using the keyboard. If the location you require has more than one word i.e. San Jose, just type S > Space > J and NDrive's search engine will simplify this task. This function also applies to the “Street” search. If the desired location does not show in the first results use NDrive’s scroll down the list by dragging your finger down the screen. As soon as you enter the house number (where available) your "Home" location will be set.

> TROUBLESHOOTING
My device cannot acquire a GPS signal through the windscreen Some vehicles have athermic (heat reflective) windscreens that can hinder the GPS signal. In this case you should attach your device to a side window using the correct mount. If your vehicle does not have a heat reflective windscreen and your device still cannot obtain a signal please contact our technical support team.
Incorrect Route Calculations This may happen for several reasons:
Weak GPS signal indicates that your device might be in an incorrect
position.
Map data requires updating. You can obtain map updates using the
NDrive Agent available on www.vector.com.ph
Ensure the Routing Options in the Settings menu are correct.

Vector stopped working after an update:
Before updating via NDrive Agent it is strongly advised to make a
backup of all files by copying them to your computer, by clicking the Backup & Restore button found on NDrive Agent.
 NDrive Agent will make use of your internet connection, USB
connection and a MS Windows component to manage all mobile devices communication and transfer to your device all the new files. If the process fails, please try again one more time.
 If the problem persists, please contact our technical support.
Depending on the installed maps the update process may take a few hours. Internet connection problems may cause an update process failure.
If your issue is not answered in this document, please refer to our "FAQ" section at www.vector.com.ph or address your question to our technical support team through support@vector.com.ph

Each country has a map data file identified by its initials and must always be located inside the "maps" folder of your NDrive. If the maps are not inside this folder they will not be recognized by NDrive application. Once installed, the map must be activated using the supplied serial number. For additional information about this topic please refer to the "FAQ" section at www.ndrive.com. When using the NDrive Agent you can also buy maps directly, simply by clicking on the tab "Buy Maps".
