Custom-built applications in three modes
vPDK enables the developer to create custom-built videoconferencing applications in three modes, depending on the hardware connected to the PC. With VCON’s ViGO
attached, a vPDKbased application becomes a hardware-accelerated conferencing client with business quality. With a USB camera, a vPDK-based application is a low-cost software-only solution, with full videoconferencing capabilities. For the traveling user, with no camera attached, a vPDK-based application Viewer+ mode provides two-way audio and one-way video, enabling remote participation in important conferences and broadcasts while maintaining business quality.
Integrated with the MXM
vPDK developed applications must be developed in a VCON Media Xchange Manager
(MXM) environment where the clients that are developed register to the MXM to receive remote management services. For this reason, the vPDK package includes a 5-user MXM and 10 VCON vPoint client seats. The vPDK developer can take advantage of other MXM features such as video call transfer, video call forward, simplified gateway dialing, directory services and ad-hoc conferencing services.
Dynamic, light software videoconferencing applications can custom-developed quickly and easily with the VCON vPDK.
